Fishing in the Ryazan region: review of paid and free places, reviews

Today, the availability of fishing spots in the Russian Federation is one of the most important needs of outdoor enthusiasts. The Ryazan region is no exception in this context, which is filled with a mass of reservoirs that include a wide range of fish.

What kind of fish can you catch in the Ryazan region?

This region positions itself as one of the most popular among fishing enthusiasts, even those who live in other, more remote cities.

So, in addition to natural reservoirs, the Ryazan region includes a whole range of “paid places”, which are filled with the following fish species:

  • Burbot;
  • Perch;
  • White amur;
  • Bream;
  • Guster;
  • Chub;
  • Ide;
  • Pike;
  • Zander;
  • Tench;
  • Roach;
  • Asp;
  • Carp
  • Mirror carp;
  • Ruff;
  • Catfish;
  • crucian carp;
  • Rudd;
  • Carp;

Let's celebrate! This list of freshwater inhabitants is far from final; it could be continued, but is it worth doing, since the most common breeds, which most often act as prey for fishermen, were announced above.

Where can you go fishing for free?

Unfortunately, today it is very difficult to find a water area where staying would not only be fruitful, but also free. Fortunately, such places still exist:

Rivers

The Ryazan region is largely filled with rivers of short length, which, by the way, does not at all affect the high level of fishing and the wonderful fish bite:

  • Tsna is a river that has high vegetation in the form of algae and reeds, in which, in turn, especially in summer, perch, rudd and crucian carp hide from the heat;
  • The Polka is a fairly small river (18 kilometers), the condition of which, in an ecological sense, has improved. Perhaps this is why more fishermen appeared on its shores, eager to catch catfish or a rare inhabitant of this region, the rotan goby;
  • Yalma - this 34-kilometer-long river is inhabited by freshwater “residents” such as pike, perch, crucian carp and bream. It is recommended to fish here from a boat, supposedly this increases the fisherman’s chances of returning home with “prey”;

Lakes and ponds

This region, which borders the capital of the Russian Federation, is filled with a lot of artificial reservoirs, which, again, can be paid or not.

Now, to the reader’s attention, there is a range of ponds and lakes, visiting and fishing on which is a free pleasure:

  • Beloe is a lake located in the Klepikovsky district, not far from the border with the Moscow region. The depth of this water area reaches 5 meters, it is inhabited by fish such as pike, gudgeon and crucian carp;
  • Velikoye is a body of water, the name of which does not indicate that it is really large. This fishing “place” is located near the village of Spas-Klepiki. The waters of the lake are filled with a very large number of a wide variety of fish: roach, ide, perch, crucian carp, tench, pike, ruffe, blue bream, Amur sleeper goby, verkhovka;
  • Orekhovoye - this reservoir can, in principle, easily be called a swimming area, because it is equipped from many sides by the local authorities “as a beach”. Despite this fact, by boat, for example, you can do some good fishing here, because the fresh waters of the lake are filled with such “inhabitants” as tench, ide, roach and perch;

Paid fishing in the Ryazan region

“Catch fish big and small” - this saying could be applied to all paid fishing spots, because when visiting them, you can really catch fish of any size, width, length and weight, and it’s guaranteed.

Perhaps this is the advantage of such private lakes and ponds, since for a fisherman there can be nothing better than going fishing, knowing in advance that the result will be positive and bear fruit in the form of a catch.

Best places

Everyone knows that the best court is the people's. In this case, this statement can be applied in practice, because now a range of the best places for fishing will be announced to your attention, referring directly to the opinions and reviews of the fishermen themselves:

  • “Platnik” in the village of Glebovo is a small area that is perfect for both a family holiday and a “party” in the company of friends. In the process of fishing, citizens must be prepared for the fact that they may be hooked on fish such as carp, grass carp and pike. Regarding prices, here, for example, for a day fishing you will need to pay only 500 rubles. Additional services: Guest house;
  • Brazier;
  • Alcove;
  • "White stone" - a base located in the village of Boyarintsevo. Spending time on the territory of the fish farm will allow each visitor to bring home a trophy in the form of carp, trout, silver carp or pike. The cost of a day's fishing will cost you 1,000 rubles (per person), a day - 1,700 rubles. Additional services:
      Three-story and two-story cottages in which you can spend the night;
  • Russian bath;
  • Possibility to rent a boat, motorboat and gear;
  • There is a parking lot at the entrance, reserved by the base administration specifically for visitors’ cars;
  • Lotus is another tourist base, where you can both fish and cook your catch on the grill, after which you can unforgettably relax in the open air around enchanting nature. The cost of staying here during daylight hours is 500 rubles, despite the fact that the visitor’s spouse and children (up to 14 years old) can stay here completely free of charge, which makes a vacation for the whole family economical and affordable. The base, by the way, is located near the village of Ivkino. Also, one cannot help but recall the rich aquatic world of this fish farm: perch, roach, ide, crucian carp and carp (two species). Among the services provided:
      Mini-hotel (for those who come to stay for a day or more);
  • Brazier;
  • Prices

    The pricing policy, as one might note, is quite acceptable, at least taking into account the fact that frequent lakes and ponds include in their territory many additional buildings: gazebos, cafes, bathhouses and hotels.

    Having made an analysis of all possible “pay zones”, we can conclude that you can exclusively go fishing in the Ryazan region for an average of 400-600 rubles (per day per person). If we are talking about a more respectable fishery, which includes additional services, you need to be prepared to pay bills from 1,500 rubles (per day per person).

    Rules

    This point can be found in every recreation center and on the territory of every fish farm.

    So, there are quite a few rules, the main thing is to follow them:

    • Do not interfere with the rest and fishing of other citizens, located geographically close to you;
    • Do not remove catch from its territory without agreement with the base administration (staff);
    • Do not litter (including, do not throw foreign objects into the pond);
    • Do not cause damage to equipment and furniture temporarily at your disposal;

    Singe bites

    In the summer, bluegill bites during the wiring process occur in the form of a stop of the float or a clearly visible slowdown of the float. You should hook without hesitating, otherwise the fish will quickly remove the bait and quickly leave. This fish has well-developed mouth lips, so it can very quietly suck out the bait in the form of a bloodworm and just as quietly leave. In this case, even the movements of the float will not be visible. If the float suddenly rises out of the water, this is a sure bite and you need to hook it immediately.

    In winter, the bluegill bites strongly, but not sharply, and if the bait is held well on the hook, there will be no escape at the moment of hooking. If an inexperienced fisherman places a bloodworm on a stocking-shaped hook and leaves the tip free, then the cunning bluefish will carefully suck out the bloodworm and the fisherman simply will not be able to tell.

    Reviews about fishing

    Recently my friends and I visited a pretty cool paysite located in the village of Glebovo. I can only come away positively: good bite, hospitable staff, beautiful nature, reasonable prices and as a result a good catch: pike (4 pieces), crucian carp (25 pieces). Grade:

    One day I decided to try myself as a fisherman; I had been dreaming about it for a very long time. On the Internet I found a supposedly excellent place for fishing - Lake Velikoye. I have amazing memories of this water area. Maybe out of habit I can say basic things, but I didn’t expect such a “assortment” of fish among the catch: crucian carp, ruffe, perch and even bluegill (as I was later told). In short, I recommend it to everyone!

    Being a fishing enthusiast, I decided to experiment with water areas that I had not yet tame. So, a week ago I visited the Lotus base. I had a great time, paid only 500 rubles, after which I immediately got down to business. After 4 hours I already had 12 carp and 5 crucian carp. I was pleasantly surprised, and now I will be a private visitor to this “establishment.” Grade:

    I finally visited the Tsna River, where my friends had long invited me to go fishing. Well, I didn’t believe that on an ordinary river, which doesn’t have the proper care and control like in the pay zones, I could catch anything. But no, I changed my opinion almost immediately after two hours later I was the owner of a catch in the form of perch and rudd. Yes, these are not chub and catfish - but for this reservoir everything is just cool. Grade:

    Now I, my dear colleagues, can leave a review, because there is a reason: I recently organized a fishing trip with friends on Orekhovoye Lake. Let me say briefly, the inhabitants of these waters are countless: roach, tench, ide, pike, perch, tench (maybe more, these are just the ones I caught). I'm happy and happy, I recommend it! Grade:

    Nikita, 37 years old (Ryazan)

    I also got to the paid fishing spots, which I’m very happy about. So, the story of how I visited the White Stone base: firstly, it’s beautiful, secondly, it’s relatively inexpensive (from 4 am to 9 pm: 1000 rubles), thirdly, there’s something to catch: starting with trout and ending with large carp. Whoever comes will not regret it. Grade:

    Alexander, 41 years old (Ryazan)

    Lake Polka was a discovery for me. I had often heard about it before, but I couldn’t even imagine that it was home to so many “inhabitants”: catfish and a lot of goby (rotan). We didn’t have to wait long for the bite; things started happening almost immediately. I advise everyone to visit this reservoir, especially since fishing on it is free. Grade:

    Vitaly, 45 years old (Ryazan)

    Good to know! Based on the above context, we can conclude that the Ryazan region can rightfully be called one of the best regions in the Russian Federation for fishing, as evidenced not only by its reservoirs, but also by their inhabitants, or rather by their amazing diversity.

    Features of bluegill fishing

    The open water fishing season for bluegill usually begins after the spawn. It is at this time that schools of bluegill begin to feed abundantly on underwater vegetation. And it is at this time that active fishing for bluegill begins. As a rule, bluefish are attached to their permanent habitats, so anglers who know the reservoir well and the habits of this carp fish do not have to look for it for a long time.

    Usually at dawn the bluegill comes out to shallow water areas not far from the shore. The current brings various food particles to these places, and the bluegill there looks for quite satisfying food. After the sun has risen, the fish again goes into the river depths. Bluefish do not like to appear in places with a strong current, just like all fish with a wide body. When the summer heat begins, the bluegill tries to approach the shore only at night; during the daytime, it stays in the cool depths of the river. In the evening, the activity of bluegills can be significantly higher than at dawn, due to the long break between feeding.

    Fishing for blue salmon in winter begins immediately after freeze-up. Its bite with different periods of activity lasts until the ice melts. In large rivers and reservoirs, schools of blue bream do not stand in one place, but constantly move around the water area. It begins to move especially actively when a thaw sets in. If a fisherman can find a flock of bluefish wandering around a pond, then the fishing will be excellent. Anglers who know this scour the pond during the thaw in search of the coveted school, and if they manage to find it, their catches will be the envy of others.

    In winter, when fishing for bluegill from the ice, an experienced fisherman can easily determine in which direction the school is moving by the first twitch of the fish that he hooked. With its first jerk, the fish points in the direction of the main school and the angler begins to move in this direction.

    Winter fishing for bluegill usually takes place where wintering pits are located, but even in this case, bluegill often moves from the pits towards the shallows and returns after a while to the pit again. All these movements are easy to calculate, but the fishermen themselves, creating a lot of noise, negatively influence this process. The fish gets scared and moves through the water much faster than usual, which forces the angler to rush to one place and try to keep up with the bluegill. At night, fish can feed at different depths, so you can find them primarily in places where a stepped bottom predominates.

    You can catch bluegill all day in winter, but the most active bite begins in the afternoon and lasts until dusk. The bluenette is not picky and readily grabs everything that is offered to him. When darkness comes, the fish significantly reduces its activity, but then its activity increases sharply, and bluegill can bite well until morning. Mixed with the blue bream, bream and large roach often bite at the same time.
