Not far from the cave there is the famous Simov spring. According to one of the legends about the robber Kudeyar, the spring contains the key to the treasure, which is hidden in a cave on the mountain. According to legend, only the one who drains this spring to the bottom can get it. As the locals say, treasures were actually found near the village. At one of the sites, one of the residents dug up several buckets of coins. True, the money turned out to be copper, not gold.
The village of Lokh itself is almost older than the regional center. Its history goes back centuries, to the time of Ivan the Terrible. Then the village was called Kudeyarovka, and the villagers were nicknamed Kudeyarovka. Therefore, it is not surprising that there are more than enough attractions here. The ancient water mill here has a special tourist attraction. Currently, the three-story wooden structure, erected in the mid-19th century without a single nail, has been completely restored to its original form on the initiative of the governor of the Saratov region, Valery Radaev. The mill is currently producing flour. Verandas, an Armenian tandoor and a Russian oven were built next to it. Residents and guests can explore it and the surrounding area at any time convenient for them. The site itself is open to the public on Saturdays and Sundays from 11.00 to 13.00.
In the center of the village of Lokh there is a military memorial complex, which consists of a monument to the famous native of the village V.I. The moss swamp is the southernmost in the southeast of the country, a unique natural object with an interzonal type of vegetation on the border of the forest-steppe and steppe zones. 28 species of swamp plants are listed in the Red Book. In 1982, the Moss Swamp was declared a natural monument of regional significance. The famous Kudeyarova Cave tract is also a natural monument.
