First, I lower the eggs to the bottom, then with a sharp movement of my hand I lift them up 20-40 centimeters. It takes about a minute to tease the perch with a jig before the bite begins. With a spinner, preparatory teasing can last up to 10 minutes, after which a steady bite begins. Rather, this happens because the perch gets used to the bait for some time, watches it, but does not dare to take it.
But as soon as the first fish grabs the spoon, other stripers follow its example, landing on the spoon non-stop. In this regard, a jig is a less alarming object, and you can start fishing with it almost immediately.
