Gorky Reservoir

This huge body of water was formed in the mid-20th century during the construction of a hydroelectric power station nearby. The storage has the following parameters:

area: 1590 sq. km.
length along the Volga channel: 440 km
maximum width: Up to 14 km

The reservoir is divided into two parts:

lake, from the hydroelectric dam to the mouth of the Unzha;
the river one, which is located above.

The lake part is almost devoid of current, but the river part looks no different from a flood river.

"Hop Glade"

Not far from the Zarya fish farm there are wonderful picturesque ponds. Since the times of the Soviet Union, many fishermen remember how wonderful fishing was at the Khmelevaya Polyana fish farm (Nizhny Novgorod region). Paid fishing is popular here at the moment.

The pond is located about fifty kilometers from the city. Fishermen have a choice of two deep-sea reservoirs with clean water. One pond is slightly smaller in size, the second is quite impressive in width and length. Mostly carp and crucian carps are found here. Not a lot, not so varied, but the catch will be large, and the bite will be constant.

The large pond is home to mostly crucian carp and fishing here costs a little less – from 250–350 rubles for twelve hours of rental. Paid fishing in the Nizhny Novgorod region in a small pond, where mainly large carp are found, will cost fishermen a little more - 600 rubles per day. In addition to gear, you can rent a place to spend the night, a gazebo or a barbecue.

The only negative is that in bad, slushy weather the path to the ponds is a little difficult. It is better to go fishing in these places when it is dry and the sun is shining. This will keep you in a good mood and make fishing more enjoyable.

"Chistye Prudy"

A popular country club is located 55 kilometers from the city. The most famous paid fishing lakes in the Nizhny Novgorod region are located here. Fishermen have access to three reservoirs with different types of fish (carp and silver carp, catfish and pike, crucian carp and perch, grass carp). On the shores of the lakes there are guest houses where there are comfortable conditions for a complete country holiday.

It is possible to rent fishing houses, which are built right on the shore of the lake. Boats, tackle, hunting and fishing equipment, barbecues, a mushroom forest, a Russian bathhouse - all this will be available to those who are attracted to Chistye Prudy and paid fishing in the Nizhny Novgorod region. "Zarya"

The reservoirs located near the village of Konstantinovo are very loved by both “savage” fishermen and “paying fishermen”. In general, paid fishing in the Nizhny Novgorod region (Dalnekonstantinovsky district and Vyazovka) is very popular among experienced fishermen. Not far from here there is a fishing farm with the colorful name “Zarya”. There are several reservoirs that form cascades. Mostly carp, crucian carp and pike are found. Roach, chub and perch can also get hooked.

The water in the ponds is very clean, and the bottom is free of snags and thickets. This is what distinguishes free fishing from paid fishing in the Nizhny Novgorod region. You will never leave a tangled hook in the grass near the shore or lose your line caught in a snag at the bottom of the pond.

You can use either the usual carp gear or rent a boat and fish from it. The prices are quite reasonable (from one hundred rubles for renting a vehicle). Fishing in these places is allowed from the beginning of spring (April) until the cold weather (late November). From September to October, pike fishing is excellent.

"Lake near the Jura"

Another popular place that is famous for paid fishing in the Nizhny Novgorod region. Not far from the village of Chaglava there are picturesque ponds. Crucian carp and roach work well here with a regular fishing rod, but you can catch decent-sized carp with a spinning rod. Large pike are also frequent guests on the hook.

As for the price, perhaps these paid lakes for fishing in the Nizhny Novgorod region are the most inexpensive. For one person you will have to pay fifty rubles. But there is no rental equipment here, so you will have to bring all the necessary things for successful fishing with you. but for an experienced fisherman this is not a problem; experienced fishermen never part with the fishing rods they have been accustomed to and loved for many years.

"Chistye Prudy"

The complex, which is located in the Dalnekonstantinovsky district of the region, includes 5 lakes. Various types of fish are specially grown here. People come here to catch:

But these are minor fish species that are grown here. Carp is considered the main fish; it is the one that is grown here in large quantities. You can fish both in open water and during freeze-up.
