Where is it located?
The Uchinskoye reservoir, which was previously called Akulovsky, is located near the main water route along which ships sail. It is located on the Ucha River and flows through two districts of the Moscow region - Pushkinsky and Mytishchi. Its main purpose is to supply water to the residents of the capital.
It is from here that water is pumped using a special canal to a water supply station located in the east of Moscow. The width of the reservoir is three kilometers, length - 12. The reservoir is relatively shallow - only 21 meters, it freezes in the second half of November, and opens in early to mid-April.
Uchinskoye Reservoir: where is it located?
There is an artificial reservoir located near the main waterway along which ships constantly sail. The Uchinskoye reservoir, which was previously called Akulovsky, is located on the Ucha River and flows simultaneously in two districts of Moscow. The facility is located in the Pushkinsky and Mytishchi districts and serves as the main source of water supply for residents of the capital. Water is pumped to the capital here using a special canal, which is located in the east of Moscow. The Uchinskoe reservoir is one of the cleanest places in terms of ecology. In the entire near and distant Moscow region, a more picturesque and cozy place cannot be found. In many ways, it was the untouched nature and silence that determined the great popularity of this wonderful reservoir as a place for fishing. The easiest way to get to the reservoir on foot is from the north-east direction, that is, from the Yaroslavl highway. You can also get to your destination by taking the train from the Yaroslavsky station to the Pravda platform. Having reached the platform, you should change to a regular bus and take a ride to the Quarry stop. Of course, all these methods will help you get to the reservoir, but the best way to get there may be a bicycle.
Uchinskoye Reservoir: features of the reservoir and recreation
On the southern side, the Uchinskoye Reservoir is a closed area in which there are no tourist centers, much less any other recreational facilities. Since the regulatory documents clearly state that it is prohibited to be within 200 meters of an artificial reservoir, many can simply abandon such a risky undertaking. But despite the strict prohibitions, control over compliance with the regulations prescribed in the documents is very loyal. The northern shore of the reservoir is considered the most favorite vacation spot for locals and tourists. There is a dirt road running almost along the entire coast here. Of course, you can’t get there by car, but you can definitely cover the distance by bicycle. And although fishing and swimming in this reservoir are prohibited, this rule is violated quite often. During the summer season, these places are sometimes even crowded.
Uchinskoye Reservoir is one of the best places for fishing lovers
The most important reason why tourists and lovers of secluded recreation are constantly trying to break into the Uchinskoye Reservoir is the wonderful fishing. The most comfortable conditions have been created for fish in this reservoir. Clean water, the absence of a large number of vacationers and excellent ecology - all this contributes to the reproduction of fish. Accordingly, the catch in these places is excellent.
Of course, fishing in this reservoir is prohibited, but fishing enthusiasts often enter the territory and catch a couple of kilograms of fresh fish. It is known that more than 30 years ago it was allowed to catch fish in the Uchinsky reservoir. as a result, this led to the complete disappearance of certain fish species. Accordingly, the introduction of a fishing ban was due precisely to this factor.
There are many varieties of fish in the Uchinsky Reservoir: pike, roach, bream, pike perch and large perch. Experienced fishermen prefer to catch fish from a boat. Otherwise, fishing is insignificant and does not justify illegal presence on the territory of the reservoir.
Features of the reservoir
The Uchin Reservoir on the southern side is a closed area; here you will not find rest houses or tourist centers, and there is no shipping here. According to existing regulatory documents, being within 200 meters of a reservoir is prohibited, but control over compliance with regulations is quite loyal.
The Moscow region acquired this reservoir in 1937, having built the Akulovsky hydroelectric complex. During the construction of the reservoir, several settlements were destroyed, located on the old highway, which began in the area of the Yaroslavl highway, passed through Taininskoye and Kurovo, after which it went to the village of Semenovskoye. Some sections of the old road have survived to this day, but are abandoned.

Why this particular body of water?
About thirty years ago, fishing was allowed throughout the entire reservoir, but this soon led to the complete disappearance of some fish species from it. That is why the reservoir is now under 24-hour security, which constantly ensures that no one hunts the inhabitants of this facility.
However, there is an option that you can use if you want to visit the Uchinskoye Reservoir. Fishing in the protected part of it becomes possible with a special permit. True, to obtain it you will have to contact government agencies and pay a considerable amount, but fishermen are ready to sacrifice their time and money.
The only place where fishing is possible without obtaining additional papers is the bay, which intersects with Stepankovskoye Highway. The facility is located on the northern shore of the reservoir - the most accessible area for walking along the shore. It is difficult to drive here by car, since the local dirt road at times turns into a regular path.
Recreation opportunities
When studying the Moscow region, the Ucha River is crossed by us on the following routes: the railway track (Novonekrasovsky village), Dmitrovskoye (Sukharevo village) and Maloe Ivanovskoye highway (Marfino State Farm), as well as the Yuryevo - Dmitrovskoye highway.
The water “artery” begins its journey in the vicinity of the village of Nerskoye, in a heavily swampy area behind the village of State Farm Ostankino. We told you in detail about this location in the section above. There is no talk of any swimming. The dense, swampy thicket is only suitable for fishing and mushroom picking.
Further, the riverbed follows through dense thickets of alder and spruce, to the east, making huge bows. In the upper reaches its width is no more than a meter (extensions generally occur only in the area of ponds and reservoirs - near villages and cities). After 2 km of the route, the Ucha River separates two agglomerations - Novonekrasovsky and Trinity-Seltso. Then it goes a little further north – through Sukharevo. All settlements belong to the Nekrasovsky rural settlement.
Having passed under the Dmitrovskoye Highway, it goes to Marfino, and from there it strictly follows to the southeast, continuing to form reservoirs in each village. This is where the entry into the canal takes place. Moscow, and then - to all the water reservoirs mentioned in the previous chapter. And then “our” watercourse flows into the Klyazma, and this happens right on the territory of Pushkino - the only full-fledged city on the river route. The finish has the character of a bifurcation.
As for the fragments suitable for rafting, we will add the Moscow Canal, Klyazminskoye and Pestovskoye reservoirs to the “seas” already listed. They are also part of your route. The width of the largest of these hydrological objects (Uchinsky) is 2.6 km, so a hike is possible from Pushkino (past the picturesque Uchinsky forest park) to Ivanteevka.
The upper areas, as you understand from the description, are where chickens wade. In the middle reaches is the ancient Marfino estate (between the Upper and Lower Marfinsky ponds). At the end of the Pyalovsky reservoir (on the northern shore) there is the Assumption Church. There are no camp sites. They are north of the Uchin floodplain - in the Pestryakovo tract and on the other banks of the canal named after. Moscow.
Is there a beach here?
You can get to the West Bank along the Pestovskaya dam, and behind it the reservoir of the same name begins. You can swim here legally, especially since all the necessary conditions have been created for this on the coast. Near the dam you can find several small lakes of a swampy type, which were formed after parts of the Uchinsky and Pestovsky reservoirs dried out.
Thus, the answer to the question is quite ambiguous: “Is the Uchinskoye Reservoir accessible to vacationers? Is it possible to swim in it? Swimming is officially prohibited, but if you find a place where you won’t be noticed by the departmental services guarding the reservoir, you can take a swim.
Many of those who have been here complain about the actions of the guards, who behave rudely towards those who entered the territory of the facility. However, employees of departmental services can be understood. In addition, such unflattering comments most often came from those who did not have permission to enter; all other visitors to the reservoir are satisfied with spending time on its territory.
Where can you relax?
Holidays at the Uchinskoye reservoir are usually associated with the local tourist base of the same name, which is located next to the reservoir. The Uchinsky base is located on the banks of the neighboring Pestovsky reservoir. Here, vacationers have access to small houses designed for 2-4 people, bathhouses with verandas and samovars, a buffet, playgrounds, as well as places specially equipped for picnics.
Fans of active recreation will be able to rent boats and also go fishing. Corporate events are constantly held on the territory of the base, so you should book houses and rooms in advance. If you wish, you can agree with the administration of the base and organize the desired event there. The prices here are quite affordable: renting a two-bed house costs up to 1,500 rubles per day, a four-bed house costs up to 2,000 rubles, you can also rent a tent, it will cost 350-500 rubles per person per day.
A number of additional services are available for everyone: volleyball, billiards, sauna, tennis, and boat rental. The latter service is especially popular, because you can rent a floating craft for 150-200 rubles per hour, while the minimum amount of time that can be spent on the water is three hours.
Alternative holiday options
The Moscow region is rich in wooden cottages that were built several decades ago. Some of these buildings are located next to the Uchinsky reservoir, formerly known as Akulovskoye. The owners of these houses are happy to let guests in, charging them a relatively small rent.
You can also relax as a savage at the reservoir, taking tents and everything you need with you. However, such a vacation is not suitable for everyone, especially for city residents who are accustomed to all the amenities. As for the financial side of the issue, spending here will be much less compared to living on the territory of a tourist base and eating at a local canteen.
Uchinskoye and Pestovskoye reservoirs
The two bodies of water are closely connected, separated by a fairly conventional border. Both of them are under the responsibility of local environmental services, and they strictly monitor the cleanliness of the objects entrusted to them. True, swimming and fishing are allowed in the Pestovsky reservoir. Another thing is the Uchinskoye Reservoir. We discussed whether it was possible to swim in it. Officially, water recreation is prohibited here, but many people ignore this ban.
The western part of the reservoir is home to owls, herons and ducks. Less often you can see foxes, raccoons, beavers, stoats, and falcons. The fauna and flora of the reservoir are not so rich, but this will be enough for a quick acquaintance during an active pastime on the coast. To relax on the Uchinsky reservoir, you don’t need hotels and sanatoriums at all; here you can achieve complete fusion with nature and recharge with positive energy. The main advantage of such a holiday is its cost-effectiveness: you don’t need to spend a lot of money, you just need to travel outside the Moscow Ring Road. It’s difficult to have fun here in winter; only the most avid fishermen will enjoy staying at the Uchinsky Reservoir.
Uchinskoye Reservoir
The Uchinskoye Reservoir, located in the Moscow region, is partly a strictly protected area; getting there is quite difficult. However, residents of the Moscow region still try to do this to go fishing or just relax, since this particular area is considered one of the most picturesque in the region.

Experienced fishermen say that it is most convenient to fish from a boat, otherwise the catch will be insignificant.
If you come to a pond and don’t take a fishing rod with you, it doesn’t matter. Not far from the reservoir there are a couple of shops where you can buy all the equipment you need for fishing and even bait. The prices here are quite affordable, and the assortment is practically no different from what is presented in the capital's retail outlets.
Is there a beach here?
If you want to have a positive time surrounded by nature, feel free to go to the Uchinskoye Reservoir. There are no beaches as such here, since swimming is officially prohibited. However, this rule is often violated by visitors. Sometimes on hot summer days the beach can get crowded.

Reviews
Those lucky few who managed to visit this body of water at one time claim that the landscapes here are simply magnificent. A light breeze blowing across the coast, warm water and a large amount of fish – this is what the Uchinskoye Reservoir is famous for. Reviews from fishermen and guests of the reservoir about relaxing on it are very mixed.
Many of those who have been here complain about the actions of the guards, who behave rudely towards those who entered the territory of the facility. However, employees of departmental services can be understood.

Near the Tishkovo sanatorium you will need to turn left, and then you can go to the Uchinsky base. The journey from the center of the capital to the reservoir takes an hour on average.
If you are going to the reservoir not from Belokamennaya, you will need to take the E115/M8 highway, get to the city of Pushkino, and then get out through it to the shore of the reservoir, along which there are two local streets - Central and Vodoprovodny Kanal . Along the latter it will also be possible to drive to nearby villages, where fishing and recreation are allowed.

Re: Uchinskoe reservoir (ban)
The Uchinskoe reservoir is strictly protected by Mosvodokanal, so fishing there is a big problem. Obtaining permission is a very big problem, including money.
Re: Uchinskoe reservoir (ban)
The problem with visiting the ban is not that serious. I went several times this year and this year. There are countless networks. The fish are getting smaller. In general, like everywhere else.
Re: Uchinskoe reservoir (ban)
Lan. What did you catch there? I go there in the winter to the pike bay, and sometimes I put it right on the canal that goes to the water intake of the girder (in the winter). The pike perch sometimes comes on the balancer. The guy sits only on sailors, catching 100-150 pieces each. The year before last they arrived with ice It was 1m20cm, we were tired of drilling holes.
Re: Uchinskoe reservoir (ban)
Friend - spin! Skip +1! So we went with the spinners. From there we probed the nets... We caught them. I wanted to come with a plug, but somehow it didn’t work out. I won't go again! Other places are full of fish... Everything is prohibited.
Re: Uchinskoe reservoir (ban)
Lan completely agrees with you, there are a lot of reservoirs, on Uche, there is also fish there, and it’s good, but you need to catch it! I caught it with spinning, and I also caught it with nets and spat! There are a lot of fools in . I'm not a broker!
Re: Uchinskoe reservoir (ban)
I wonder where you were allowed to be banned? If inside posts, then this is almost impossible (IMHO). True, sometimes you can get through with red crusts.
Re: Uchinskoe reservoir (ban)
And the nets are most likely set up by people in uniform. This is power!
Re: Uchinskoe reservoir (ban)
We are driving along Ostashkovka, the checkpoint is in Manyukhino, there is a special pass to the prohibited area, and there only at the points where the checkpoints are, you abandon the car, and go on foot to the fishing spot.
Fishing on the Uchinskoye Reservoir
> Where to fish > Fishing in Russia and around the world > Fishing on the Uchinskoye Reservoir
The Uchinskoe reservoir, famous in the Moscow region, was created in the valleys of the rivers Ucha and Vyaz. It is located not far from Moscow and is the largest floodplain reservoir in the Moscow region in size. The length of this reservoir is approximately 12 km, and its area is 19.3 km2. The width of the reservoir in some places is a little more than 3 km. The maximum depth is about 22 m, and the average depth is 7-8 meters.
A reservoir was created to maintain a constant water level in the Volga-Moscow canal in 1937. The reservoir regulates seasonal flows; in winter, the water level usually decreases by 2 meters. Water enters the reservoir through structures created to filter water in the Pyalovskaya and Pestyakovskaya dams. This reservoir also serves as a first-stage purification reservoir for Moscow. It is a conditional triangle with the tops of 3 dams, Pestovskaya, Akulovskaya and Pyalkovskaya.
The water settled in the reservoir passes through the generation units of the Listvyanskaya HPP, and then part of the water flows through the canal into the Eastern Water Station. The other part of the water, through the Akulovskaya hydroelectric station, is discharged into the Ucha River.
Fishing on the Uchinskoye Reservoir
very diverse and diverse. This reservoir contains a large number of large pike perch, pike, perch and bream. The most promising areas for fishing in this reservoir are located next to the dam near the village of Akulovskaya and near Uchi, as well as near the village of Stepankovo.
The reservoir is home to such species of fish as carp, crucian carp, perch, bream and pike perch, pike and roach, silver bream and gudgeon, ide and catfish, tench, burbot and ruff. In a word, the species diversity is obvious. This is what primarily attracts fishermen to the Uchinskoye Reservoir. In addition, the proximity to the capital has an effect. As for the conditions, fishing on the Uchinsky reservoir
, is in many ways similar to fishing in other reservoirs included in the water utility named after. Moscow. Between the villages of Dolganikha and Rozhdestveno there is a fisherman’s house where you can spend the night fishing and rent a boat.
The Uchinskoye Reservoir is a protected sanitary zone; of all the large reservoirs in the Moscow region, it is the most protected reservoir. Both swimming and motorized boats are prohibited here.
As for the coasts, the South Coast is a continuous protected zone, where many checkpoints are located and patrol vehicles are constantly moving. There are very picturesque places located along the canals. There are excellent well-maintained roads, which together with the canals create an atypical landscape that residents of the Moscow region are not used to. It is somewhat reminiscent of abroad. And getting there, according to most fishermen, is almost impossible.
As for the West Bank, this is the only place, or rather a large island in the Moscow region, where you can get through the dam with a pass. But there is still another easier way to get there. In the summer season, “Meteors” and “Rockets” depart from the Northern River Station and stop in Vitenevo. You can disembark at the pier in Tishkovo, where no one requires a pass for verification.
The most affordable fishing in the Uchinsky reservoir
possible from the North Shore. Almost there, along the entire northern coast of the reservoir, there is a rather narrow dirt road, although sometimes it turns into a path and in such places it is almost impossible to drive a car. But for a cyclist this road is simply a haven. It stretches along reed thickets and picturesque cozy coves with shores covered with fine sand. Swimming is also prohibited here, however, in the summer, especially on weekends, these places are quite crowded.
The deep bay that crosses Stankovskoe Highway is an ideal place for fishing and there are always a lot of fishermen there. But fishing on the Uchinsky
reservoir in winter
is carried out almost throughout its entire area. The forests on the coast of the reservoir are famous for their mushroom places, but you still need to know such places or be able to find them.
Near the Pestovskaya dam there are several swampy small lakes with steep banks, as well as quarries that have been preserved after construction and are connected by small streams. These are very beautiful and picturesque places that are also rarely visited. There are also excellent places on the shore of the Pestovsky reservoir near the dam for legal swimming and parking.
But the real diamond of this coast, which, by the way, few people know about, including local residents, is the Kurovskoe swamp. This is a natural monument of federal significance, where the sources of the picturesque Serebryanka River are located.
There are many beautiful places covered with moss, young pine forests, a lot of mushrooms and berries, including such a rare berry for the Moscow region as blueberries. Fishing here is also excellent, because the places here are rarely visited by people, and you also rarely see fishermen there.
As for getting to the Uchinsky reservoir, it is best to get there from the Savelovsky station and go to Trudovaya station. Further on the ferry, you need to cross the Moscow Canal to the village of Rozhdestveno and then to the right.
You can get from the Khimki River Station by boat to Rozhdestveno. You can also drive up to 43 km along the Dmitrovskoe highway and turn right to get through the villages of Khlyabovo and Menzhinets to the ferry crossing, then take the ferry to Rozhdestveno and turn right again.
The Uchi Reservoir will not disappoint you. Happy fishing and relaxation!
