Moscow beaches - where to swim and sunbathe in summer 2021

Starting with the May holidays, townspeople begin to look for places where within the city limits they can have a picnic, swim, and sunbathe. Preparation of Moscow recreation areas begins in April, since during the May holidays every piece of land is occupied by barbecues with barbecues, and especially the beaches of Moscow.

Recreation areas in Moscow are divided into two categories: where you can sunbathe and where you can still swim. This division is based on the safety of the reservoir, which is determined based on the microbiological indicators of the water, the safety of the bottom and the coastal area.

A well-maintained Moscow beach requires the presence of: a safe descent into the water, a fenced swimming area for adults and a separate swimming area for children - a “paddling pool”, as well as toilets, changing cabins, showers, medical and rescue services.

Do you want to swim in the Moscow region? We will tell you about all the beaches in the Moscow region

Beaches in ZAO Moscow

Meshchersky Pond in Solntsevo (ZAO) Moscow

Shore of Meshchersky Beach The
Moscow beach on Meshchersky Pond is part of a group of reservoirs artificially created from dams on the Nevershka River in the 18th century. On the banks there was the village of Vatulino, which became Meshchersky in honor of Prince Meshchersky, whose domain it was part of. Today this territory is included within the city boundaries. The reservoir is supported by a three-meter dam that forms Meshchersky Avenue.

Area of cottage almost dacha development. There are no multi-storey buildings here, and as a result it is not so crowded on weekdays. On weekends, vacationers from the southern and western regions of Moscow come here. There is not enough space directly on the sand itself, but along the banks of the reservoir there is room to sit on the grass.

In 2015, a large-scale reconstruction of the neighboring reservoir began. It is planned to deepen and clean the bottom, strengthen the platinum and improve the territory. The work was completed in the fall of 2021 and in the summer of 2018 the swimming area is also ready.

Parking for Meshchersky beach

Entrance and parking

On the side of the road, the beach is fenced with a small metal fence. You can enter the territory along a small path from the dam or through the main entrance to the parking lot from Meshchersky Prospekt. Parking is located nearby. It is designed for no more than 120 cars.

Finding a place during the high summer season is very difficult. At this time, even all the adjacent streets are crowded with cars, despite the fact that signs prohibiting parking are installed and periodic raids are carried out to evacuate illegally parked vehicles . Unfortunately, there is nowhere else to leave your personal car.

Shore and pond

The equipped sandy beach is 100 meters long. The bottom when descending into the water is sandy, but at a depth of more than 1 meter it is silty and extremely viscous. especially careful - it is very difficult to maintain balance in the water while standing on unsteady mud. The reservoir is not transparent and not deep, which allows it to warm up very well in sunny weather. Swimming here is very pleasant and convenient.

Service and entertainment

There are several regular changing cabins on site. Given that there are few of them, there are often queues to change clothes. The cafe on site is currently under renovation. Apart from the refrigerator with ice cream, which is installed at the entrance on weekends, you can buy water and something to eat at the nearest store Meshchersky Dvorik (Meshchersky Prospekt 22с1) 1 kilometer from the recreation area.

Beach "Levoberezhny" (SAO) Moscow

Left Bank Beach
Moscow Beach on the left bank of the Moscow Canal has existed since the 50s, it was at this time that improvement work began with the efforts of area enthusiasts. Nearby there is a residential building, popularly nicknamed the “Chinese Wall”. This is a long ten-entrance high-rise building. Already the third generation of residents of the house comes to swim at Levoberezhny.

The most unpleasant object that spoils the landscape is an electrical substation with several high-voltage supports. According to sanitary standards, the electromagnetic background from the substation completely disappears already at a distance of 100 meters, so if you do not have a picnic close to the fence, then nothing threatens your health.

Levoberezhny parking

Entrance and parking

You can get to the shore through a small park from Pribrezhny Proezd. In 2015, the park was transferred to the management of the Severnoye Tushino Museum and Park Complex, which began to reconstruct it.

It is better to enter free organized parking from Levoberezhnaya Street, but there are very few places. Visitors are forced to leave their cars along the road or in courtyards, which are most often blocked by barriers. It is still possible to enter the courtyard of house 7 on Pribrezhny Proezd. There is a small paid parking lot for area residents on the Levoberezhnaya Street side, where you can leave your car by agreement with security.

Like many Moscow beaches, this one is well known not only to residents of nearby houses, but also to citizens from other areas. On summer weekends it is very crowded, and finding a place for a car by noon is already extremely problematic.

Shore and pond

The beach area is located in a small bay, which, unlike the canal, is not used for large-scale shipping. The water is clear and warms up well to the very bottom. However, closer to the center of the bay, there are several cold springs, which, if you get into them, quickly make your legs go numb.

The beach appeared on the site of a small sand quarry, from which sand was extracted during the construction of the canal. The sand here is local, coarse, and there are sharp stones, so it is better to wear special shoes. The descent to the water is gentle, but slippery in some places. The bottom is sandy and clean. In preparation for the summer season, it is inspected and cleaned by divers. There is a specially designated bathing area for small children.

Service and entertainment

After the landscaping, benches, gazebos, paths, bridges and stairs appeared on the territory of Levoberezhny. A sports area with various exercise equipment and a fenced court for beach volleyball was created. A large children's playground has appeared, a bit like a labyrinth, where children can run and play for hours. A sandbox and low swings are suitable for kids.

Troparevsky Pond in Teply Stan (South-Western Administrative District) Moscow

Troparevsky Bank
Troparevsky Pond was artificially created on the Ochakovka River in the Teply Stan landscape reserve. The park was founded back in 1961 in memory of the XXII Congress of the CPSU. According to the architect's plan, there were to be 15 squares dedicated to the Union republics, around a central platform with a fountain and a large amphitheater.

The bed of the Ochakovka River was supposed to be turned into a cascade of ponds with decorative bridges. In the park itself there will be many alleys and a botanical garden. Only a few plans were realized, and until 2006 the area was almost abandoned and required reclamation.

Like other beaches in Moscow, Troparevsky was recently improved in 2007. Large-scale cleanup work was carried out, a summer amphitheater, equipped children's and sports grounds, as well as a beach area for swimming were erected.

Entrance and parking

You can get to the reserve from any of the adjacent streets: Ostrovityanova, Akademika Bakuleva, Teply Stan, Profsoyuznaya. The fastest way to get here is along Academician Vinogradov Street. At the very end of which there is a parking lot for 50 cars. From there it's a 450-meter walk to the water.

M. BelyaevoBy minibus 248m or bus 145, 196, 295, 699, 712 to the “Studgorodok” stop, then walk 1.1 km23 min.

Shore and pond

The sandy descent to the water is only 30 meters long. On a weekend, by 10 am, the best places near the water are already occupied. On the grass a little further from the water there is enough space for everyone both in the sun and in the shade, but you will have to walk a couple of tens of meters to the water. At the beginning of the summer season, the reservoir is clear and cold. The bottom here is sandy in places, but mostly muddy.

The banks of the pond are high and slippery, so several wooden bridges were built to descend into the water. Those who come to swim always have keys to locked houses where changing rooms are organized.

Service and entertainment

The huge territory of the reserve allows you to place many interesting and useful objects. Other Moscow beaches cannot boast of so much entertainment. There is an excellent free ropes course nearby. All structures are low and do not require separate insurance, but children are not allowed to be left alone. Due to excess energy, children manage to get into trouble even in the safest places. In the park you can rent sports equipment and children's electric cars.

Rental prices:

  • Children's ATV 15 min – 150 RUR;
  • Bicycle 1 hour – 500rub;
  • Badminton 1 hour – 100 rubles;
  • Frisbee 1 hour – 100 rubles;
  • Table tennis 1 hour – 300 rubles;
  • Scooter 1 hour – 300rub;
  • Videos 1 hour – 300rub;
  • Backgammon 1 hour – 200rub;
  • Chess 1 hour – 200 rub.

Along the main alley near the entrance there are children's attractions: inflatable trampolines, carousels, etc. On the other side there is a large children's playground with a special rubber coating. Free Wi-Fi is available here.

Near the main entrance there is a grill cafe where you can buy water, ice cream or have a full lunch. You can sit in a closed hall or on a large veranda.

Prices in the cafe:

  • chicken kebab 200g from 300r;
  • Caesar salad with chicken 250g – 350r;
  • khachapuri 1 piece – 400 rub.

To the left of the beach, near the summer amphitheater, there is a boat station where you can rent a boat or catamaran.

Prices at the boat station:

  • catamaran 1 hour – 350rub;
  • boat for 3-4 people 1 hour – 400rub;
  • boat for 4 adults and 2 children 1 hour – 500 rub.

  • The entrance is free
  • Parking: free (50 spaces)

Bathing pond in “Terletskaya oakbrava”

Bathing Pond boasts a small but very popular beach on the north shore. Cause? Of course, soft sand, just looking at which makes you feel like you've quietly gone on vacation. However, visitors are happy to sunbathe on the grass - the slopes of the banks are quite suitable for spreading a blanket on them. Despite the name of the reservoir, swimming is not allowed. But on the territory there is a rental point, workout zones and other delights for an active beach holiday.

A comfortable solarium with wooden stationary sun loungers can be found in the new VDNH landscape park, near the Golden Spike fountain. Some of the sunbeds are in the open sun, while others are hidden under a canopy, which is especially convenient if you suddenly want to take a break from the heat. Other undoubted advantages include a stunning view of the pond, the murmur of water and, of course, a convenient location. You definitely won’t be bored here, because the summer program at VDNKh promises to captivate everyone.

Tropareva Park, Moscow: photos, how to get there

Troparevo Park (Moscow) is located in the southern part of the capital, in the Troparevo-Nikulino and Teply Stan districts. Getting there is easy. You can from the Teply Stan metro station, then either on foot or by minibus 94 to the Troparevskaya Street stop.

There is another option for getting to Troparevo Park. From the Yugo-Zapadnaya metro station by buses No. 667, 520, also to the Troparevskaya Street stop. The forest park is famous for its size - 5,190,000 sq. m. The park itself is divided into two parts by Leninsky Prospekt.

Is it possible to swim on Troparevo beach

Water purification work on the pond made it possible to turn the artificial reservoir into a safe place for swimming. An artificial pond on the small river Ochakovka was created back in Soviet times, in the 60s. For a long time after the collapse of the USSR, the pond was not cared for; the water became polluted, but in 2013 the authorities again became concerned about the cleanliness of the reservoir. From this moment on, Troparevo beach in Moscow has become one of the most popular - up to 15 thousand people relax here on weekends.

But Troparevo beach, despite the cleaning work, is not famous for its crystal water. By mid-summer, due to the insufficient supply of running water and the abundance of swimmers, the water becomes polluted. In reviews of Troparevo beach, vacationers write that after mid-July only children swim here, adults are disdainful to go. Swimming in the Troparevo recreation area is safe, but not always aesthetically pleasing.

For pleasant coolness and a beautiful tan, visitors to Izmailovsky Park immediately go to the Round Pond, where in good weather it is especially pleasant to swim on a boat, feed the ducks and lie by the water. There is no separate beach here, so vacationers prefer to sit right on the grass. By the way, very soon the park promises to install sun loungers on the territory for greater comfort.

Sunbathing with a view of the City? It’s easier than ever, because just a couple of steps from the business cluster lies the picturesque Krasnaya Presnya park, famous for its Dutch-style ponds. You can find benches and sun loungers throughout the area, but perhaps the main center of attraction for vacationers is on the “island” between the canals. The landmark is snow-white tents, under which, by the way, cultural or healthy lifestyle events are often held.

It is better to relax on this beach with your family (especially if you have small children). Kids will like it here for two reasons: on the territory there is an “Estate Park” with slides, trampolines, bungee jumps, swings, a pool with balls, and there is also a mini-zoo here. And every Sunday the restaurant organizes a show for children (starts at 14:00).

All guests are equipped with sun loungers and sun loungers, a volleyball net and a table tennis table. There is a restaurant "Barsky Domik" on site.

By the way, this year Rospotrebnadzor approved reservoirs near the second and third beaches for swimming (the list also included the Bolshoi Garden Pond, Levoberezhny beach, Beloe Lake, Meshcherskoye recreation area, etc.)

In the technologically advanced and fashionable Tyufelovaya Roshcha, the recreation area by the water resembles a premium club - only free and accessible to all visitors. On the shore of a crystal clear pond there are designer sun loungers under umbrellas and benches under a pergola. However, visitors to the park are happy to settle down both on the shore and on the grassy lawns. Let us note that some vacationers still strive to swim in the lagoon, but we will still warn you: swimming here is not allowed, no matter how attractive the reservoir looks (read also: “The caterpillar from the blue lagoon, or what will surprise you in the Tyufeleva Roshcha park”).

Important: the aquatic complex is closed during the football championship, but will start operating on July 20.

Anne Hathaway's character in the film One Day fought with stress in such a pool. The design is like that of a fashionable restaurant: wood, plastic and metal were used in the decoration. Pink lockers in the locker room and blue walls in the shower create a positive mood.

The length of the pool is 50 meters, depth is 180 centimeters, there are 8 lanes (the first three are for fast athletes, the last one is for children and beginners). The water temperature all year round is 27-28 degrees Celsius.

On site there is a volleyball field, a food court with healthy salads and children's dishes, a ping pong court and a juice bar with vegetable and fruit smoothies.

Swimming pool in the sports and recreation complex "Chaika"

The city's main outdoor swimming pool is 61 years old. “The Seagull” was built for the World Youth Festival in the USSR - now architectural excursions are held here.

The length of the pool with 8 sports lanes is 50 meters, depth is from 1.5 to 3 meters. Mothers will appreciate it - there are two meter swimming pools for children and serious children's groups. They promise to teach a child to swim crawl, breaststroke and dolphin in six months. Adults will also be taught - there are classes in the morning (at 7:30 and 8:00) and in the evening (at 19:00 and 20:00).

The gated building has exercise equipment (including TRX loops), a Finnish sauna, a sports tennis court, a mini golf course and a family café.
Order tea with thyme and honey - what you need after an hour in the water. Price: one-time visit (without restrictions for 1 day)

1500 rubles. (weekdays), 1800 rub. (on holidays and weekends). One-time visit for children under 16 years old - 500 rubles. Turchaninov lane, 3, building 1
