Due to measures to combat the spread of coronavirus, the Ostankino Tower is closed to visitors.
The observation deck is open to the public:
- Daily from 10:00 to 23:00 (last tour starts at 22:00)
- The cash desk is open daily from 9:15 to 21:55
- Session duration is 1 hour
A visit to the observation deck is only possible in a group of up to 70 people.
During the excursion, visitors take a high-speed elevator to a height of 337 meters, where there is a closed observation deck from which a bird's-eye view of Moscow opens. A visit to the museum and an introduction to the history of the Ostankino Tower is also organized.
A visit to the open part of the observation deck , located at an altitude of 340 meters, is possible only in the summer from May to October under favorable weather conditions.
During the tour, amateur photo and video shooting is allowed throughout the entire territory of the Ostankino Tower, except for the security checkpoint.

- Since 2003, base jumping competitions have been organized here. In the same year, a world record was set: 26 people jumped simultaneously from the Ostankino TV tower.
- In 2004, an accident happened at a BASE jumping festival: Austrian competitor Christina Grubelnik somehow got caught on the protruding parts of the TV tower and lost consciousness, and then hit a concrete wall hard. As a result, at a height of 85 meters, her feet caught on the balcony. Fortunately, the television center workers managed to film the extreme film. The girl received several fractures, but remained alive.

Rules for visiting the observation deck of the Ostankino Tower
Entrance to the observation deck is allowed to citizens from 7 years of age, and their parents’ passports must have a corresponding entry or visitors must have the following documents with them:
- From 7 to 14 years old - original or copy of birth certificate or international passport or plastic student card with photo. Children from 7 to 14 years old can visit the observation deck only if accompanied by an adult.
- Visitors over 14 years of age must provide a government-issued document with a photo, this can be a passport or international passport, driver's license or military ID, etc.
Considering the possibility of an emergency situation and the consequent need to wear personal protective equipment for a long time, the following are not allowed on the observation deck of the TV tower:
- Children under 7 years old
- Women with obvious signs of pregnancy
- Citizens with obvious signs of alcohol or drug intoxication
- Disabled people on prosthetics, in wheelchairs, as well as those who use additional supports when moving - crutches or sticks
- Visually impaired people using a white cane
- Persons with obvious signs of mental disorders.
Visitors with metal implants or prosthetics that trigger metal detectors must present an implantation card.
Personal items, except handbags, briefcases and document bags, must be left in the storage room of the Excursion building.
It is prohibited to carry with you:
- Explosive objects and substances, means of protection and active defense
- Any liquids and aerosols, flammable, toxic and strong-smelling substances, as well as piercing, cutting objects and glassware
- Animals and birds.
During the excursion it is prohibited:
- Smoking on the territory and in the premises of the TV tower

Visiting rules
