10 Best Manga Artists from Japan

BLJAD!
This article is full of love and adoration. Perhaps we should add a little criticism?

Manga

Mangaka-kun

is an anonymous artist whose drawings first appeared on Dvacha in /b/ and /aa/ on October 14, 2008 and represented the beginning of the first (and at the time of writing this article the only) full-fledged manga about imageboards.

Its plot is as follows: the powerful organization “The Committee” (whose goals are not clear) declares war on imageboards and tries to destroy them by organizing sabotage and assassination attempts on famous Chan characters (the murder of Slavi-chan, the kidnapping of USSR-chan). Almost immediately after the first pages of the manga appeared, Dvach quit for the day and Anonymous attributed this to the actions of the Committee. Since then, an ominous pattern has emerged - as soon as drawings of the Committee appeared on any vat, major troubles, falls, or even complete cutting out from the Internet immediately awaited him. After the appearance of the manga, Dvach no longer showed the same stability, and soon ceased to exist altogether.

Anonymous liked Mangaka-kun mainly, most likely, for his hard work (the number of pictures he produced is over 9000) and willingness to fulfill requests. The mangaka is distinguished by his memo- and mascotism, which is surprising even for vats; he drew mascots of all Russian boards and not only. He is the creator of Dobropok-kun (who became the most popular mascot of Dobrochan), Moshe-kun (the idea of a mascot for the nomadic Anon without permanent residence did not catch on), FSB-kun, one of the creators of Novey-chan, network characters 410chan'a and over 9000 other network characters and memes.

[edit] Mangaka and Dobrochan

World, Labor, May, Dobrochan
Wrongly perceived by many channelers as Dobrochan’s artist, but this is not so, despite the fact that official mangaka threads have firmly settled in /b/, and then in /cr/ of Dobrochan, and tons of Mangaka have been created Dobrochanovsky content.
On Dobročan he was elevated to the rank of demigod, but after the advent of the new ormtesh administration he quarreled with the mod-kuns, for which he was repeatedly beaten with a banhammer (and at the time of this writing he is also in a bathhouse, which the official administration of Dobročan denies, citing unknown technical problems), and he lost his former popularity due to the move to Dobrochan of many other artists who were not inferior to him as a sparrow. The legacy Chan inherited from Mangaka and Manager-kun is a visually designed 404 page. And hundreds of pieces of art on the theme of Dobrochan’s mascots and memes.

Diary of a Disappearance

Author/Artist: Hideo Azuma Publisher: Fanfare - Ponent Mon Disappearance Diaries Price Comparison

The life of a manga artist is not easy. Just ask Hideo Azuma—after years of working as a pro (drawing cuties in panties), the pressure of constant deadlines and difficult-to-handle editors caused Azuma to “disappear” from his life. At one point he became homeless and dumpster diving. Another time he worked as a pipelayer for a gas company. Finally, when his alcoholism drove him to the point of near madness, he checked himself into rehab.

But these stories aren't complete failures. Azuma tells his mostly true story with a heavy dose of self-deprecating humor. The result is a funny and strangely inspiring story.

Author/Artist: Fumi Yoshinaga Publisher: Digital Manga Publishing Compare prices for Flower of Life Vol. 1

Like Bakuman, Flower of Life is the story of two teenage boys who dream of becoming professional comic book creators. But instead of a manga-style "heroic quest" tale, Flower of Life is an incredibly twisted take on the world of manga that is both crazy and completely true.

While the search for boys to draw manga is interesting, the story scenes focus on Sumiko, a shy girl who draws a historical romance shoujo manga, only to be told by Majima, a class uber-otaku, to rewrite it as a modern yaoi manga so it will actually sell . The way she speaks and shuts him down is pure comedy gold.

[edit] Mangaka and Ichan

Unlike Dvach (where Mangaka’s work was received in a generally neutral-good-natured manner) and Dobrochan (where Mangaka was praised to the skies), Ichan perceived mangaka’s art neutrally-negatively, and sometimes openly aggressively-negatively (although there is an opinion that this is the butthurt of a couple of sad people -Semenov), repeatedly pointing out mistakes with anatomy and suggesting that the Mangaka master the tablet. At the moment, almost any thread on /tan/ is polluted by greedy mangakasrachs, and in general, as soon as Mangaka-kun’s pic appears on ichan, assholes, popabols and trolls immediately appear around it. The reason for this phenomenon is being investigated. No Mangaka's pics have ever appeared on Ichan's page, which makes one wonder about Mod-chan's role in this conflict.

Reflections of an otaku

Perhaps it is the combination of harsh reality with a tantalizing world of fantasy that makes Japanese manga and anime so attractive. Many popular series such as Doraemon, Ranma 1/2 and Kimagure Orange Road follow the lives of seemingly ordinary people. They go to school, do homework, and get reprimanded by their parents. But they have a shadow life that makes them somehow special, be it psionic talent or friends who are quite different (robots from the future or aliens from other worlds). I believe that all of this serves to allow the reader to sympathize with the characters, and to escape from the boring, ordinary everyday life into a fantasy world.

Japanese "Train Nerds": 36 Different Classifications of "Densha Otaku"

Even in worlds that exist in the distant future or a long time ago, the reader is drawn to a three-dimensional character who is far from perfect. Someone who has stupid little habits or flaws. Who has hopes and dreams that the reader can sympathize with. Unlike American superheroes who exist to fight "Evil", Japanese characters usually have other goals in life that play a larger role in their lives. Japanese manga and anime are "character-driven". Characters are not forced into stories like feet are forced into too-tight shoes, but instead stories grow out of the characters.

Sakabato. The fictional katana from anime and manga is now part of the real world.

Even Japanese children's comics and animation deal with things like death . They also show that man's enemies are not just evil. In series like Gundam you can see that the enemies have their own hopes and dreams and actually have reasons for what they do. They're not just crazy or just evil. They are real.

An Australian politician is calling for a ban on anime/manga for child abuse and sexual violence.

Actions have consequences. If the protagonist screws up, he or she will have to deal with the results... and, if the person is smart, he or she will think hard not to make that mistake again! Characters grow and change, learn new things, improve on old skills, mature and gain wisdom (unless, of course, this is a comic series like Doraemon).

Another thing I've always liked about manga and anime is their tendency to contain a sense of spiritual optimism rather than just simplistic things about the superiority of good over evil. Bad people can reform and achieve redemption. Unhappy heroes can find themselves through personal crisis and still find happiness. Life has meaning and purpose, although it must be fought for. Hard work will pay off... but maybe only in the long run. Difficulties arise, but they can be overcome. Strength is found in helping others, even to the point of self-sacrifice... Not all stories have these spiritual or philosophical messages, but many do. And when these simple but universal themes are more or less convincingly woven into the fabric of good plots and characters, magic happens.

Exploring Otaku Culture

And finally, like all good stories and all true stories, manga and anime tend to end. Heroes and heroines die, get married or disappear. Anime series are especially good in this regard. They usually have one of three endings: the hero wins (the throne, a person of the opposite sex, whatever), the hero dies (usually after winning), the hero seems to win (but with great losses). Of course, anime or manga are often carefully crafted to either squeeze the tears out of your eyes or keep you watching until the very last line of the credits.

And, of course, I kind of gloss over the fact that there is a lot of garbage there. Like any field, manga and anime have their lemons, the ones that have no plot, 2-D characters, lots of tasteless jokes, and artwork from hell. However, Japanese manga and anime are real gems that should not be missed.

Small portals to other worlds that will entertain, educate and delight.

[edit] Mangaka and followers

Who is he?
From the very beginning, Mangaka's work was recognized as a creative Anon, and a sea of fan art of varying quality followed, what is most surprising is that this quality is often (and almost always) better than the art of Mangaka himself. Manager-kun almost always hangs out next to the Mangaka - a huge oldfag who generates tons of texts every day. Omsk and attention whore. Has a habit of writing about himself in the third person. Known for his semi-fucking posts. Mangaku does dirty PR on all the vats he sees. There is also a certain Scanner-kun - a piece of a neymphag, a smileophage and a pogromist. Why it is needed is unknown.

How do you recognize manga?

The anime and manga industry began to develop from 1950-1960.

Many works of anime and manga are gaining fame around the world thanks to active activity and interest in them from the fandom

Characteristic drawing styles for manga include large eyes, long hair, full breasts for women, short skirts that do not hide legs or panties, flashy text, entertaining exaggerated emotions, extreme expressions and many color contrasts. The most famous Manga series are Dragon Ball Z, One Piece, Black Jack, Case Closed, Naruto, Slam Dunk and Oishinbo.

[edit] Committee

The committee will meet - Novey sawed out
about which little is known. They work there:

  • A man in a mask with a bolt sticking out of his head
is the head of the Committee. It appears at the very beginning on the first two sheets and disappears for a long time.
  • Tooru Kimori
is the head of NARK, the military wing of the Committee. The most popular and charismatic manga character, there is a fan variant: Desu-Kimori. Euphage.
  • Ex-chan
is an online character from S.O. from the old Dvach, who found a rebirth in the manga. There are many rule 34's on Ex-chan and Tooru.
  • Strughold.
The real prototype is a Nazi scientist who conducted experiments on people. It is inferior in popularity to Kimori, but also has its admirers. He works in tandem with his Japanese assistant Tozi.
  • Pira-sama
is a character from Dvacha that is not widely known.
  • Gendo
    or Gennady Ikarev. Nuff said.
  • Killer robot
    - marked by the execution of Slavi-chan.
  • Some men
. Who are all these people at the table? I do not know them!

Naoko Takeuchi (Naoko Takeuchi)

Naoko Takeuchi's Sailor Moon manga debuted in 1991 and has become one of the most popular and recognizable all over the world. Initially, manga was created for girls, but over time, boys also became interested in it. And with the advent of Sailor Moon Crystal, the mangaka definitely wants to bring back the popularity of his characters by attracting a new generation, and, of course, to please old fans of the series.

[edit] Interesting

FSB-kun and pedobir...
Mangaka's increased interest in pedobirs and central processors (encoms, individual pics revealing the essence of FSB-kuns, a long-term arc with technopedobir) was noticed, which seems to hint. One of the main features of his work is his all-consuming love for mindfucks, of which he crams dozens of them onto every page. So far, only a small part of them has been found. Get ready to shit bricks. The mangaka has been repeatedly seen in various faggotries. Horolyub, puppeteer, evafag, Vassal of Lambdadelta, yukehater.

Tohru Fujisawa (Tohru Fujisawa)

There are several manga dedicated to studying, but none of them are as eccentric as Fujisawa's GTO, which appeared in 1996. Thanks to this manga, you can meet a physically developed, gloomy former gangster named Eikichi Onizuka, who decides to become a teacher. As a result, he will have to teach the most problematic class in the school, for which he uses the accumulated experience of his past life (and power) to control and mentor his students. GTO mainly deals with aspects of growing up such as bullying, social pressure and friendship.
