DIY bait for cupid recipes

Boilies for crucian carp

Nowadays, crucian carp bite well on boilies . Today there are boilies that are attached to the hook using soft fishing line. This line is often called a hair because it is very similar in appearance to human hair.

Crucian boilies must lie on hard ground together with bait, but do not differ from them in any way. On a muddy bottom, floating boilies located under the edge of the mud perform best. Such boilies contain porous material, due to which such boilies have excellent buoyancy. In rare cases, fishermen use porous material as a hook attachment. Boilies for crucian carp and grass carp are an excellent way to improve a fisherman’s mood, since with the advent of this attachment the chances of success in fishing increase significantly.

With a high probability, if the bite is poor, crucian carp can be caught well on a boilie, which is in the so-called weightlessness. Crucian carp like this kind of bait floating in the water because of its naturalness. Note that real food does not differ from blende. Similar experiments can be carried out, for example, in a large transparent jar filled with water.

It should be remembered that boilies can become heavier over time, absorbing water, and then lie on the bottom. In this regard, they must be periodically re-adjusted.

Regarding the tackle called “nipple”, it is most effective when fishing for carp or carp. However, in rare cases, crucian carp may also bite on such a bait. The structure of the tackle is quite simple: a donka-trap, which has leashes; hooks are stuck into small squares on the top of the head. Large fish will eat the top of the fish, and as the bait is eaten, the hooks will be released.

Catching carp on reeds

Fishing for carp, the gear for which must be strong, since the fish is very strong, is carried out in warm, calm weather. Young plants are usually used as bait. Catching carp using reeds is very effective. But in order for such bait to serve the fisherman well, it is important to adhere to several rules. Reeds no longer than 1 m are cut, and there should be young leaves and shoots on the stem.

It is known that this individual searches for food both at the bottom and at the very surface of the reservoir, therefore, when the stem of the reed falls into the water, grass carp suddenly grabs it.

This type of fishing has its own subtleties:

  • First, you need to learn how to present the bait correctly. The hook should be carefully disguised in the leaves of the reeds, and the fishing line should be wound around the stem.
  • Secondly, make the correct cast, which is done at the very edge of the reed thickets. Thirdly, it is better for the reed to remain afloat, then it will arouse keen interest among the fish.
  • Fourthly, if there are no foreign objects around the bait, there is a greater chance that cupid will pick it up. The float in this case will only get in the way.

When fishing, it is important to maintain complete silence so as not to arouse suspicion among very cautious and shy fish.

Catching crucian carp with boilies with your own hands

Making boilies yourself is not a problem, and the process does not require significant financial costs. The main thing in this matter is the nutritional value of boilies combined with excellent taste.

The composition of boilies can be changed during the fishing season. It is worth noting that during cold weather it is worth increasing the amount of proteins in boilies, and in the warm season, when the water is appropriate, you should increase the amount of flour made from grain crops.

There is a summer recipe for making boilies , which has proven itself quite well among representatives of the fishing world.

The main feature of the composition of such boilies is that it contains cake, well known to fish that swim in domestic reservoirs. To prepare boilies using this recipe, you can use both hemp cake and sunflower cake.

Ingredients

  • Powdered milk – 2 parts.
  • Semolina – 3 parts.
  • Soy flour – 1 part.
  • Sifted milled cake – 2 parts.

Method of preparing boilie

To begin with, you should take raw chicken eggs at the rate of 10 pieces per half a kilogram of dry mixture. Next, we start preparing the dough: stir the eggs; gradually add the mixture; Mix the mixture thoroughly as you add it. It is worth noting that it is advisable to mix dry flavors with the dry mixture. Strawberry flavoring is very popular among fishermen these days . Add a few drops to the eggs, and it is not advisable to overdo it with the concentration of the essence. It is interesting to know that some anglers also add natural strawberries.

Next comes painting the color of the boilies . This process is not particularly complicated. Thus, all you need to do is add food coloring, which is not difficult to buy in the store.

Having kneaded the thick dough, you can move on to the next stage - modeling the so-called sausages. This process involves forming different mixtures into “sausages” with your palms, after which you need to make small sections. These segments must, in turn, be rolled into a ball of the required diameter. Next, grease the balls with sunflower oil. Typically, the diameter of the balls ranges from 1-5 centimeters, depending on the type of fish you want to catch.

The next step is to throw the rolled balls into boiling water, let them boil for a few minutes, then remove them from the pan and dry them in a cloth.

It is worth saying that the boilies are dried for several hours, and after that they are placed in the freezer, where they can retain their properties for more than a week.

Baits and baits for catching carp

Nowadays you can buy bait for every fish taste in stores. At the same time, every fisherman has his own secrets. I will tell you about those baits and attachments that have proven themselves well not only on regular trips, but even at official tournaments in which I participated and won prizes.

Groundbait: composition and quantity . The first and, perhaps, the easiest way to attract carp to the fishing point is to use bait balls based on “bulk” with the addition of grains - peas, corn, wheat, as well as some kind of carp flavoring with the smell of banana, pineapple or plum. The fish really like all this. Accordingly, it is also necessary to fish for grains. Corn is the best bait. It can be attached not only to a hook if you are fishing with a float rod or a regular hook, but also to a classic carp rig with hair using a special needle, as I do.

worth noting that cupid really likes it when there is a lot of turbidity at the fishing point. It follows from this that the balls should not be too dense and break when they hit the water. When particles of bait are lowered to the bottom, a column of fragrant turbidity will form. And at the bottom, in the remains of the food bowl, the cupid will find something tasty for itself. Powdered milk can be added to the bait as a turbidity enhancer. It creates a wonderful trail from the surface itself, which is what we need.

feed balls either with a slingshot or by hand, if the fishing point is located near the shore. At long distances you will have to use a parachute. In this case, the ball must be much denser, otherwise during a power cast it may fly apart and not reach the desired point.

Bait for fishing with boilies. Boilies are my favorite bait not only for carp, but also for carp. They should also be used as bait. I very often hear from people that before catching fish with boilies, they need to get used to them for almost a whole week. I think this is a big misconception, because we attract cupid with combined bait. In addition to boilies, it contains other components: instant pellets to create turbidity, fatty pellets to hold fish at the fishing point, grains (wheat, corn, hemp, etc.). All of this is used together! Of course, you get a “vinaigrette”, but your bait should always be visible to the fish. And the boilie will stand out if you take special care of it.

I feed the fishing spot abundantly and precisely to collect the fish. For this I use a spod rod and a spomb (if I feed with coarse groundbait). If I plan to feed with balls, then I use a “parachute”. Sometimes after feeding boilies, pelets and grains, I also “cover” the point on top with balls to create more turbidity or the so-called “soup”. It can be made from a simple “pour” with the addition of grains, pouring plenty of water over everything to get the consistency of sour cream. This “soup” will give a wonderful cloudiness at the point.

There is one subtlety. I very often use instant pellets when fishing for carp. I first fill it with beet molasses (molasses) and plain water, mix everything thoroughly and let it brew for a while. Pelets not only absorbs the smell of molasses, but also partially dissolves. And this is very important. Once the bait gets into the water, the small particles will slowly sink. And the smell of molasses will attract fish from a long distance, especially if there is a wind current on the pond. Cupid will definitely follow this trail to the fishing point.

For cupid, in addition to instant pellets, it would not be amiss to add dusty or soluble boilies to the composition, which will slowly but surely release into the water not only nutrients that are a food signal for the fish, but also create turbidity at the bottom when these “balls” “Weed fish will attack - roach, bleak, crucian carp... You don’t even have to cut such boilies, because over time they will dissolve themselves and there will be nothing left of them.

Don't forget about boiled boilies . They must be present both in the starting feeding and in subsequent supplementary feedings in order to keep the fish at the fishing point. And if the dusty little thing can be pulled away or broken, then the boiled boilie will lie on the bottom until a larger individual eats it. In this way, we simultaneously let the fish know that this is an excellent and nutritious food.

In bait we need to use larger boilies to cut off small fish if we are determined to catch a trophy. Adding “balls” with a diameter of 20-24 mm will be justified. Yes, this is exactly the size, and there is nothing to be afraid of. There is one subtlety that is key. In addition to soluble large boilies, the bait must contain boiled ones, which you intend to fish with. For example, we feed mainly dusty or soluble ones with a diameter of 20-24 mm, and catch ones with a diameter of 14-16 mm. It turns out to be a contradiction. To resolve it, you should definitely add at least half a handful of small boilies to the bait, which the fish will definitely try to eat.

The result is the following: the bait mainly consists of large boilies. Perhaps they will attract the attention of the fish, but it will still be afraid to eat them. But he will definitely try a few small ones. And then the cupid catches the eye of your bait...

Of course, you should not forget that periodically you need to throw boiled or instant boilies from the “cobra” (if you have one) at the fishing point, thereby showing the fish that food is constantly falling into this place.
The frequency of such offerings depends on the activity of the fish. If there are bites, then you can throw in 5-10 fresh boilies, both instant and boiled, to hold the fish. If there is no activity, then you should wait for at least the first bite. However, it also happened that the fish began to respond to the bait when they stopped feeding the point.

Grass carp is rightfully considered one of the most powerful and cunning representatives of the fish world. The maximum weight of grass carp ever caught on a fisherman's hook is thirty kilograms. As it becomes clear, this type of fish is quite large, and therefore boilies should be fashioned accordingly.

Grass carp belongs to the carp family. However, its habits strongly resemble silver carp. Regarding the taste preferences of grass carp, it is worth saying that this fish is a real gourmet.

It is worth noting that nowadays cupid rarely catches boilies. But if a fisherman puts his whole soul into preparing this bait, then most likely the grass carp will bite.
