What's better, fishing or exploring new places? Any of us will say everything at once.

I, my friend Victor and my father-in-law Sergei decided to go exploring for the weekend. The departure is planned on Friday evening to Malaya Belaya. We got ready and left at six in the evening. In the Cheremkhov area, such rain fell... We got to the point where it was dark, there was taiga all around and we just had time to pass the rivers. Where we go? Every now and then woodcocks fly off the road, sometimes right from under the wheels. Fortunately, not a single “animal” was harmed... Looks like we went to M. Belaya, ha! We must go further! The night road beckons, what's around the next corner? We drive for almost another hour and a half... In the distance you can see a fire, near which three men are doing something under a canopy. Let's go to them. As it turned out, they were stripping a cedar cone. Under the canopy there is a meter-high mountain of nuts and even more peeled husks nearby. - Guys! How long does the road along Belaya go up? I ask. One of them frowned and took an axe, the others rolled their eyes. I think the scribe is a damn savage! — I ask again, but with a smile, in order to defuse the situation. - A! White?! Well, you drove it 45-50 km, you’re on Savino! Then the road leads to nowhere, the taiga is further! Nothing to do! We left, and it was half past eleven. - Well, let's go higher, we'll stumble there, somewhere away from these aborigines, spend the night, and tomorrow back to Belaya. “Good,” said our driver Victor. We found a place, the road came close to some rapids river. You can't see what it is, but the noise is wild! We'll spend the night here! I quickly take out the burner, make tea, and have sandwiches with lard and processed cheese for dinner. Sleep still doesn’t come, large drops of rain drum on the roof of our UAZ. For a moment it seemed that it was somehow quiet in the car, and I woke up. The rain has stopped. Meanwhile, it was getting light outside, and we crawled out of the loaf all broken and with a headache. Baa. What beauty is around Sergei shouting! The river here is about 20 meters wide, not deep, boulders stick out here and there, there is a place for the mischievous Grayling to hide, just below there is a hole right under the bank, and Helen should be standing here. Opposite there is a rock, around the Fir, and perennial mosses, a meter long, hang on the fir trees. It feels like you are in a fairy tale. A new rain front and strong winds brought us back to reality. For breakfast, pearl barley porridge, with stew cooked on the same burner, vegetables and pate. Everyone forgot about the bread, there was one black bun for three of us, so we cut it into glowing pieces. After breakfast we wander along the river. I wear a thermal jacket, waders and a jacket. I take a spin and throw a hole, silence..... I go lower, all the promising places are empty. Well, where are the fish? Is the river really dead, because when it rains, the lenok is the coolest? I arrive at the camp, where Victor has already caught a couple of well-fed graylings on a cargo load. What is the depth here? — Spin 2.7 meters influx right up to the tulip, says Victor. Grayling will take any dark-colored fly. I’m assembling the cargo tackle, and already on the fourth cast the first grunt beats in the stream!! I cut open the stomach of a grayling, and it is full of caddisfly in the house. An active drift has begun. The river had noticeably risen by lunchtime, and white foam was rushing across the water; you can temporarily forget about fly fishing, but oh well! In each hole there were about five graylings, and at two o’clock in the afternoon the feeding began. The fish is well-fed and very dense, but the size does not exceed 23-26 cm. The best gold head fly is on a shrimp hook, where the body of the barb is the segments of a pheasant feather, and the thorax from the undercoat of a rabbit is the color of the brow. After lunch we decided to move down, where the river widens and gains strength, large rapids and a standing bank speak of its harsh character. Mighty cedars appeared along the banks, and crystal streams flowed from the hills. The road moved away from the river and we finally came across a car. A group of berry pickers went up the river to get lingonberries. We said hello and talked about the weather to keep the conversation going. Then they asked: “Guys, how do you get to Malaya Belaya?” — 30 kilometers down, and there’s a turn to the right, you can’t go wrong! Is there any flax there? Well, about 20 years ago there was one, but now he doesn’t come up here, and they’ve caught everything! This can’t happen, it’s such wilderness and lenka! On this not cheerful note, we moved lower. We finally found Belaya and a cool roll! And the weather calmed down in the evening and the sun appeared. The popular saying THERE IS NO SATURDAY WITHOUT SUN, worked this time too. A local man in the Buryat mood catches haryuze! I take out my fly rod and below the riffle I catch a couple of good fish. A man came up and said, this is the first time I’ve seen LAP! - How does it fly? I show him a master class and he laughs! And so you will wash yourself all day and your hand will fall off and you have only one fly, I have SEVEN! I laughed with him and didn’t even argue. What does he care about aesthetics! And then he tells me, “Just think, if I don’t drink vodka, I won’t catch fish!” Bush to drink? No, dad, I don’t drink! FII what kind of person are you, you can immediately see the urban one! With these words, the man got into the Izha and drove home. I started drying my equipment; the jacket had become damp during the day, and the condensation in the waders in the toe area was cooling my feet. Meanwhile it got dark. My father-in-law and I gut the fish in the light of a lantern, salt some of it to eat tomorrow, and smoke some of it today. I must say that I haven’t eaten such delicious fish for a long time! We sat silently by the fire and went to bed. I no longer had the strength to mouse, I had run out of it in a day. At night there were stars and frost struck. By morning we were so cold that we warmed up the interior a couple of times. And also, don’t sleep on air mattresses, this oilcloth is very cold. Good old foam insulates the body from the cold much better! On Sunday I got up at 10:00. I drank tea and walked along the river again, persistently flashed and my persistence was rewarded with a lenka worth two kopecks. Murran spinners are irresistible as always! By lunchtime I took another one, about a kilogram, and that was all. There are still flax in the river, albeit a little. And what a flight of the big May mayfly then began! As luck would have it, there is only one such flies in the box! Taki then unfastened it from behind on the bush. Victor, who took up fly fishing for the first time this year, also made progress and caught a couple of beautiful graylings! At four o'clock in the afternoon we headed back. Autumn nature is much more beautiful during the day! On the way back we looked at the wide Bolshaya Belaya, rocky Onot, and the calm Bolshaya Iret where from the bridge the peasants tried to catch large graylings on horseback, but in vain. The graylings were jumping like dolphins, collecting something from the surface. We didn't have time to fish. All the rivers are magnificent, we will only go to them next year!

Review: Belokholunitsky pond (Russia, Kirov region) - The pearl of the Vyatka region.

I was born in a small town with the beautiful name Belaya Kholunitsa.
The main attraction of the city is the pond. The settlement is located along the banks of the Belaya Kholunitsa River and a pond. My family lived a ten-minute walk to the pond, and my parents still live there, and I enjoy visiting them. I would like to talk about Belokholunitsky Pond and share its beauty with you. It is also called the Pearl of the Vyatka region. This pond is the largest in the Kirov region, it is not a natural reservoir, it was created by both man and nature. The length of the reservoir is 20 km, and at its widest point it reaches 3 km.

On the right bank of the pond there is a sandy beach within the city and a park in a pine forest, and on the opposite bank is the Great Field ski resort (ski resort).

A little history. In 1764, a dam was built on the Belaya Kholunitsa River, resulting in the formation of a pond. This was done in connection with the construction of an engineering plant, as a large amount of water was required. Huge sluice gates of the dam regulate the water level in the pond. A power station was built next to the dam. The entire plant was supplied with its energy. Then it stopped working, and now it has been put into operation again.

Once upon a time there was a steamship here that carried barges. The pond was of industrial importance. This anchor was lifted from the bottom of the pond.

Now the reservoir has become a place of rest. Our pond is widely known, especially among fishermen. People come from all over the region and beyond to go fishing. Here and there you can see fishermen both along the banks and on boats. And, of course, many vacationers come, as the nature is simply magnificent. And the expanses of water attract with the opportunity to ride on boats, boats, jet skis, water skis, etc. Any water entertainment is at your service.

I remember during my school years I went to the sports section. And one day, at a summer sports camp, we went on a three-day boat trip up the pond. We only rowed, the weather was excellent, we could enjoy nature as much as we wanted. I have the kindest, most pleasant memories. We swam across the entire pond and then along the river. Then I saw white water lilies (water lilies) for the first time. What beautiful flowers! They are much less common than yellow egg pods. Two nights and three days spent on the banks of a river and pond are a lot of impressions for a teenager.

I love our pond in clear weather, when the blue sky is reflected in its waters, and it becomes especially beautiful, blue-blue. And if small white clouds float across the sky and are reflected in the water, then the pond seems bottomless, endless. You look and don’t understand where the sky is and where the earth is.

Fishing in the Irkutsk region, fishing in Siberia, fishing on Lake Baikal

Fishing and recreation in the vastness of the Irkutsk region, fishing in Siberia and on Lake Baikal.

Yesterday we returned from a two-day fishing trip on the Belaya River. We decided to go there because there was still a lot of water on the Angara, and it was impossible to stand with a fishing rod. We left immediately after work on Friday, while we drove through Usolye-Sibirskoye - we collected all the mats. In general, this year I think we’ve given up on the white one, it’s a bit far, and the drive through Usolye is mind-numbing. In general, we arrived while we were camping, while we lit a fire, set up the feeders, and it got dark. Autumn, now at half past nine it’s already dark
