Fishing on the Sosenka River, in Larevo.

Peculiarities

A fish farming association has existed in Sosenki since 1972.

At the beginning of 2001, it was transformed into the NP club “Fisherman Sosenki” with the main goals:

  • development of fishing culture;
  • maintaining the natural balance and sanitary condition of water bodies;
  • protection of reservoirs and adjacent areas from violations;
  • popularization of cultural fishing and active recreation.

Distinctive features of the club are the variety of fish species in the reservoirs, as well as year-round availability for visitors. You can catch fish at this base even in winter.

If you have any questions, you can contact the base staff and qualified fishing instructors.

What kind of fish are there in the pond?

There are plenty of fish in the base's reservoirs. You can meet different representatives:

  • carp;
  • crucian carp;
  • catfish;
  • pike;
  • bream;
  • trout;
  • sturgeons.

The fish that you can catch in the pond will be weighed and counted. Here they record both the weight and the quantity of fish. For example, you catch carp, you caught 8 of them, and the total weight of the fish did not exceed 15 kg, then you will be able to pick them up for free.

Next is a wonderful video with footage of how a child caught a healthy carp in Sosenki.

Pond fish

The Sosenki-1 reservoir is richly populated with almost all species of fish living in the Volga-Oka basin area.

Every week, the base workers stock the reservoir with sturgeon, pike, carp, and catfish, and fairly large specimens are immediately added. To maintain reproduction, new breeders are released annually.

The reservoir is also home to trout, bream, silver carp, and grass carp. There is a high population density of fish species such as perch, crucian carp, roach, ruffe, and gudgeon.

The wide variety of species living in the reservoir and the competent work of the club’s specialists in maintaining the fish population ensure that at any time of the year the visitor will not be offended and will not leave empty-handed.

Of course, when going “hunting” you should be guided by the season, temperature, time of day and personal experience of the fisherman.

Properly selected gear and knowledge of the behavioral characteristics of fish increase the chances of success and a big catch. For example, in the spring-summer period, it is not difficult to catch almost any fish from the presented species in a reservoir.

In autumn, fishing for pike, trout, crucian carp, and perch can be successful. Even in winter, activity in the club does not subside: fishermen try their hand at ice fishing.

Fishing cost

The fish here is varied. It lives in very different numbers. This is due to the fact that fish are released very often throughout the year. Here you can find not only the usual crucian carp, carp, and pike, but also trout and sturgeon. All fish that are caught in excess of the norm, of course, are subject to payment and recalculation. You do not have the right to release the fish back, so the entire catch that you caught must be taken home and paid for, even if you were able to catch a huge fish weighing more than 8...10 kg.

There are catch standards at the base:

  • Trout, 5 pieces or 6.5 kg;
  • Carp, 8 pieces or 15 kg;
  • Catfish, 3 pieces or 10 kg;
  • Sturgeon, 2 pieces or 3.5 kg;
  • Pike, 3 pieces or 10 kg;
  • Bream, 10 kg;
  • Tench, 10 kg;
  • Crucian carp, 5 kg.

If more fish were caught than the established norm, you will have to pay extra for each kilogram. Yes, per kilogram

  • trout will have to pay an additional 460 rubles,
  • for sturgeon – 850 rubles,
  • for pike and catfish – 300 rubles,
  • for carp – 200 rubles,
  • for crucian carp – only 100 rubles per extra kilogram.

At the Sosenki base you will find various additional services, such as the provision of parking or gazebos, rental of various accessories necessary for recreation or fishing, and a cafe.

Entertainment

In the club everyone finds entertainment to their taste. Experienced fishermen do what they love at any time of the year, conducting new experiments in the subtle science of fishing.

And for inexperienced visitors who want to catch their fish, there are instructors who teach the basics of fishing, the correct use of gear, share the secrets of successful fishing, and show master classes at a professional level.

If fishing is not interesting to the visitor, you can simply have a great time in nature: admire the wonderful landscapes, relax in a cozy gazebo on the shore of a reservoir, have a picnic, and enjoy communication with loved ones.

Additional services:

  • Rental Even if a visit to the base was not planned and the guest does not have fishing gear with him, this problem is easily solved. The visitor can rent the missing fishing equipment directly at the base.
  • Live fish. If the process of fishing, sometimes quite lengthy and sometimes monotonous, is still not attractive, but you don’t want to leave empty-handed, then the base team will come to the rescue. Live fish are available for sale in special cages all year round. All you have to do is choose and take your delicious purchase with you.
  • Gazebo rental. To just relax and have a great time in nature, you can rent a cozy gazebo for the whole day. The rent is 2500 rubles (the cost of fishing is not included).
  • Parking. Car enthusiasts will not have to worry about the safety of the iron “horse”, because the parking lot is located right on the club’s territory and is constantly under the supervision of staff.
