Estate "Grebnevo" in Fryazino
The Grebnevo estate is located thirty kilometers from the Moscow Ring Road. The first official mentions of it appeared in the 16th century.
Over the course of several centuries, it successfully developed, managing to change several owners.
With the advent of Soviet power, the estate passed into the hands of the state and its premises were first used as a hospital, and then as a school.
In 1990, there was a fire in Grebnevo, which in some places turned the estate into ruins.
Since then, it has not been restored, but recently information has appeared about the appearance of a new owner who plans to reconstruct the once majestic estate.
All the time during which the estate was left unattended, it was actively visited by lovers of abandoned buildings.
For the sake of ambient and atmospheric photographs, it often became a place for photo shoots. Access to it was absolutely free.
“Grebnevo” didn’t miss its own story either. Visitors often told scary stories about a child's voice haunting them during their stay at the estate.
There are rumors that the spirit of a little girl lives here, who often predicts the imminent death of all intruders.
Escalator gallery on Vorobyovy Gory
Entrance to an abandoned escalator gallery (2009). Photo: Aleshina Oksana/Lori
The Vorobyovy Gory metro station, which was formerly called Leninskie Gory, had two exits until 1983. One led to the sports hall, and the second to the escalator lift leading to the very top of the Sparrow Hills. After the reconstruction, it turned out that the lift was located in a dangerous landslide zone, and the escalator was not opened. Gradually, the escalator gallery turned into an abandoned building and, thanks to the landscape, one of the most popular places for atmospheric photo shoots in Moscow. Soon the escalator gallery will undergo reconstruction and a rebirth - it will be restored and updated with observation platforms.

Underground city in Ramenki
“Ramenki-43” is a secret underground city located right in Moscow under Lomonosovsky Prospekt.
According to information received from various sources, it is known that the object is a huge bomb shelter, built during the prosperity of the Soviet Union.
All information about it was strictly classified, but after the collapse of the USSR, references to the underground city in Ramenki surfaced in various publications, including foreign ones.
The bunker can accommodate about 20 thousand people. The premises are equipped with everything necessary for living, and there are huge supplies of food.
According to journalists, the shelter was built with the goal of surviving a possible nuclear disaster.
The underground city even has its own metro called “Metro-2”, created for the purpose of moving inside a huge bunker.
In the event of a nuclear threat, all representatives of government structures will be able to leave the surface of the earth through stations located in the Kremlin, main scientific institutes, near security facilities, at the government airport and at state dachas.
At the moment, there are serious doubts about the effectiveness of the Ramenki-43 facility.
According to experts, even if a bomb shelter exists, all internal communications are hopelessly outdated and cannot protect against modern nuclear weapons.
Monastery of John the Baptist
This place also causes horror to many visitors. One of the cruelest women in history, noblewoman Daria Saltykova, known as Saltychikha, was imprisoned in the dungeon of the monastery for more than 30 years. On her personal instructions, dozens of serfs were tortured and killed. There were 74 proven episodes of her atrocities alone, although, according to rumors, there were actually twice as many victims. Contemporaries noted that even imprisonment did not soften the temper of Saltychikha, who continued to curse and insult those around her. Therefore, her restless spirit wanders around the monastery and promises misfortune to everyone she meets.
Ghost town "Adular"
Not far from Volokolamsk there is an abandoned town called Adular, which has been empty for more than 10 years.
It was once a military garrison, whose inhabitants were personnel servicing rocket launchers.
But in 2005, for unknown reasons, the military unit was closed, and the entire population was evacuated.
Since then, the ghost town has been empty, but in the last few years it has been actively used for training of law enforcement agencies.
At the moment, several five-story buildings and many infrastructure buildings have been preserved in the town.
There are administrative buildings, shops, and its own boiler room. Over the past ten years, all the buildings have fallen into disrepair and are in emergency status.
Now it is almost impossible to freely get into the ghost town “Adulary”.
Former Beria mansion
The former mansion of Lavrentiy Beria, located on Malaya Nikitskaya, keeps many secrets. According to city gossip, young girls were brought here to be used by the odious statesman. At night he loved to abuse them, and in the morning they were shot in the garden. However, it is unlikely that Tunisia would subsequently choose this mansion as an embassy, having such a reputation. Although here, too, eyewitnesses say that diplomatic mission employees experience emotional discomfort, and documents often end up scattered randomly. Someone even hears strange knocks and sounds of footsteps in the building at night.

The children's psychoneurological clinic was closed in 2015, but is still under protection.
All furniture and equipment have been taken out, making it difficult to enter the territory.
The abandoned Basmannaya Hospital is in great demand among stalkers, as it has a large territory, many of which contain furniture, equipment and reagents.
There is no security, so anyone can enter its territory. The condition of the building is average.

Khovrinskaya hospital
Photo: Valery Sharifulin/TASS
The construction of the capital's hospital in the brutalist style, which is characterized by massiveness and deliberately rough forms, began in 1980. It was planned that it would become the best in Moscow in terms of technical equipment and professionalism of personnel. Just five years later, construction was suspended: the designers did not take into account the natural marshy terrain, and the foundation, flooded by groundwater, began to sag unevenly. The project was remarkable: the hospital building had an unusual appearance - from above it resembled a triangular cross with branches at the end. Witty misanthropes even compared him to a biohazard icon.
The abandoned building was popular among stalkers for a long time and managed to acquire a lot of myths and legends. Thus, eyewitnesses claimed that they had repeatedly seen strange people in black robes and flickering lights in the vicinity of the hospital. In 2021, the demolition of the unfinished Khovrinskaya Hospital was announced. It went very quickly: it began on October 23 and ended on November 21, 2021. in the vacated space, but, of course, taking into account all the features of the terrain and compliance with the necessary safety precautions.

#1. Business center “Zenith”
Business center Zenit
“Zenith” or “blue tooth”, as it is popularly called, is an abandoned business center. The unofficial name “Blue Tooth” was given to the building because of its cladding with blue glass and the unusual shape of the building itself. In addition, the high-rise building is also called “Iceberg”, “Icy” or “Crystal”.
At the moment, the building is very dangerous: there are many unfinished elevator shafts, fittings everywhere and glass broken by vandals. Therefore, the business center is under 24-hour security. However, this does not prevent writers from constantly painting the walls here.
