Expocentre Fairgrounds is an ensemble of architectural, engineering and technical structures that meet the most modern requirements. Today it includes nine exhibition pavilions and a system of multifunctional halls for congresses, seminars and business presentations. The total exhibition area is 165 thousand square meters. m (closed – 105 thousand sq. m, open – 60 thousand sq. m).
Expocentre Fairgrounds is a unique exhibition complex that has no analogues in Russia. In comparison with other exhibition complexes located in Moscow and the Moscow region, Expocentre has a number of advantages for organizers of exhibitions and congresses, exhibitors and visitors:
- convenient location in the center of Moscow, in close proximity to the buildings of the Russian Government, most ministries and departments, the Moscow Government, the International Trade Center;
- proximity to the main highways of the city: in close proximity to the Expocentre Fairgrounds there are Kutuzovsky Prospekt, Zvenigorodskoe Highway, and the Third Transport Ring;
- adjacent to the territory of the exhibition complex is the Vystavochnaya metro station (formerly Delovoy Tsentr), and nearby are the Ulitsa 1905 Goda, Kievskaya, and Kutuzovskaya metro stations (across the Bagration bridge);
- a large number of hotels located nearby: “Crown Plaza” in the World Trade Center, “Mir”, “Golden Ring”, “Radisson-Slavyanskaya”, a renovated hotel on Bolshaya Filevskaya Street.
The central exhibition complex "Expocentre" is located next to the already functioning part of the business center; a new Moscow Government building is being built in close proximity to the Expocentre territory. Despite the high cost of renting space, doing business in the very center of the capital’s business life is efficient and prestigious.

On December 11, 2014, they planned to launch the art installation “The Eye of Sauron” on the roof of the complex, timed to coincide with the Russian premiere of the last film from the “Hobbit” film trilogy, which caused outrage among representatives of the Russian Orthodox Church and the public.
In any case, it is a demonic symbol. Such a symbol of triumphant evil rises above the city, becoming almost the highest object in the city. Is it good or bad? I'm afraid it's more likely to be bad. You don’t have to be surprised later if something goes wrong with the city. - Vsevolod Chaplin.
Nevertheless, Muscovites were still able to see it, albeit virtually - for this they needed a phone or tablet with a downloaded special program.

The towers house office space and residential apartments, and the 6-story stylobate houses offices and a shopping gallery.
Initially, it was planned to build a 506-meter spire between the two towers (for comparison: the height of the Ostankino TV tower is 540 meters), but then it was abandoned, which somewhat distorted the original plan of the high-rise complex.
On April 2, 2012, a major fire occurred at the Vostok Tower, which was visible for tens of kilometers. According to official information, no one was injured as a result of this incident, and no significant damage was caused to the building.
