Moscow estate of Father Frost, instructions for use

The residence of Grandfather Frost is one of the few places in Moscow where adults and children can spend an unforgettable evening and meet Grandfather and Snow Maiden. Also, from the beginning of November, excursions are held here; you can visit the wizard’s house and learn his secrets.

Children from all over Russia write letters to Kuzminki, and in January a competition is held for the best letter, where 3 prizes and consolation prizes are awarded. In addition to the towers, children can visit other interesting places on the estate.

How to get there

You can get to the estate by bus, metro or taxi. If those wishing to visit the residence travel by private vehicle, they should be prepared for traffic jams and lack of parking space (especially on New Year's Eve).

You can get to Grandfather from the Kuzminki or Vykhino metro stations. In the first case, you need to exit the subway, turn left and take bus number 529M. You will have to go to the final stop. Tourists need to stock up on patience, water and a snack - the journey is not short. The final stop is “Hospital”.

In the second case, you need to turn right in the metro and get to the Vykhino Quarter by bus or taxi. This path is shorter. You will have to pay dearly for a taxi. If you choose personal transport, you may not find a parking space and will have to stand in 3 rows. Having reached the desired stop, you will then have to walk through the forest, along a special path that leads straight to the Estate of Father Frost.

In addition to the Vykhino or Kuzminki metro stations, some choose Zhulebino or Kotelniki. Many people travel by private car and believe that this is the best solution. After all, it’s easier to travel by car, especially if the starting point is from the center. In this case, you need to get to the Moscow Ring Road, then follow the sign.

The residence of Father Frost in Kuzminki has 2 parking lots, but when people return home they talk about their small area. During the winter holidays you will have to stand in several rows.

Review of visiting the estate of Father Frost in Kuzminki

As a conclusion to the article, we decided to write a short review about our visit here. We visited the estate of Father Frost in Kuzminki in early October with a child who was 3.5 years old at that time. During our visit there was almost no one there, we were alone on the excursion, and there were also a couple of people skating. The tour was read for us by Santa Claus' assistant Natasha; the interactive program lasts 40-50 minutes and is designed for children and primary school students, although we admit that the guide specially adapted the program for the child.

This article was stolen from the site...

If this is true, then she is an excellent specialist. We didn’t book an individual excursion, it just so happened that there was no one else there except us. Overall, we liked it, and it’s probably noisier and more colorful here on holidays, but we were satisfied. It’s a great place to take a walk with your baby, and it’s especially nice that you can go to Santa Claus’s estate at any time of the year, even in summer.

Operating mode

The residence of Father Frost in Kuzminki is open from 10 am to 6 pm. The box office opens at 10:30 am. Closes at 5 pm. The Manor is closed on Mondays.

The last Tuesday of every month of the year is considered a sanitary day. Every day (except weekends) from 11 am to 5 pm everyone can visit the Tower of the Wizard and his granddaughter. After returning the tickets, the guides will take each child to all available places. Namely: the tower of Father Frost and the Snow Maiden. Children will also be able to visit the post office.

If you want to visit organized groups, you must book your seats in advance. Children can also visit the skating rink, but they will have to buy a ticket and rent skates for a certain price.

Moscow estate of Father Frost, instructions for use

Today we went to Kuzminki to visit Santa Claus... for me it was a trip back to the distant 90s, when standing in line with my grandmother I observed the peculiarities of post-Soviet trade.

The organization's website was created not for users, but for show. I spent a long time looking on the website for the opening hours and address of the estate, but there is no information about how to get there by car, but oh well, we’ll google it ourselves.

Quest #2 Finding the possibility of purchasing an electronic ticket... Humanly, that is, through the site you can only buy for an audience with Santa Claus (2000 rubles for 20 minutes of communication, and this is 10,000 an hour - a completely childish rate), everything else (i.e. e 450 rubles for a 45-minute excursion is sold only through the cash desk).

Quest #3 Find out the times of excursions for unorganized groups. Failed. Even the cash register doesn't know this.

Quest #4 All reviews say that the estate is open from 10, but the website indicates opening hours from 9 o’clock? Everything is correct, at 9 the gates open and you can walk around the closed buildings, find out from the cashier that he doesn’t know anything and you have to wait for the administrator until 10 o’clock if you want to buy something!!! Upon closer inspection, the distribution says that she prints out tickets purchased on the website for an individual visit, does not know anything else, there are very few places.

We waited until 10 for the administrator, who immediately said that there were places, but she would come to us later. Ok, let's wait (we waited an hour in the cold, maybe a little longer). After 10 minutes, the administrator came up and sent us to the cashier, saying that she had transferred all the information there, go to the cashier. Yeah, and there’s already a line there. I still didn’t understand why the cashier couldn’t say that the administrator would give her information at 10, the administrator couldn’t say that the information would be at the cash register in 10 minutes, get in line...

Okay, at 10:20 we bought tickets for the 11 o’clock excursion. In total, we waited and walked on the street for almost 2 hours ;)) During this time, they launched carousels - one ride on a simple one costs 200 rubles in 3 minutes. She told my son that he could ride similar ones in Poland for 40 rubles until he didn’t want to, or at the Lenin State Farm for free.

There is an announcement at the checkout that payment by card is not possible, but the cashier itself accepts cards, but this is understandable, it’s easier not to take real money into account.

If you close your eyes to this prehistoric method of purchasing tickets and such concern for the convenience of customers with children during the cold season, then everything else is very well organized.

The tower is beautiful, the decoration is fabulous, there are a lot of small details, the guide is also nice, and Santa Claus is just real and the way he should be (without heavy makeup, with a pleasant voice and a real professional, because he behaves very naturally), the script is interesting for children of any age and at the same time in a kindly, uncomplicated way. The Snow Maiden has a beautiful movement into a wonderful forest, the Snow Maiden herself is also very natural and sweet. The atmosphere in the towers is warm and soulful, I want to go back there, but I’m not ready to go through buying tickets a second time.

Short story

Before the tour, many people think that construction was completed several decades ago. But the official opening took place in the winter of 2005. Construction began in the spring of 2004. Initially, only the Post Office was built, and a year later the Estate was opened. They completed the mill and everything else.

The spruce trees for planting were brought from Ustyug. They are carefully looked after and decorated for the New Year holiday. And since 2005, concerts, excursions, and tea parties have been organized for children. Competitions are held for the best drawings and letters to Grandfather.

The residence of Father Frost in Kuzminki is small, although at first glance it seems the opposite. If you carefully study during the excursion, you can walk around it in 2 hours. But because of the atmosphere and warm welcome, you want to stay here for a long time. The estate has been open year-round for more than ten years.

She invites children and parents to excursions and New Year's performances. It’s also worth coming here in summer to take a walk through the coniferous forest and the fabulous Path.

How to find the Manor?

Everything is very simple. There is a driving map on the official website of the park “Father Frost’s Estate in Kuzminki”. However, we will explain everything in more detail.

If you come from the Kuzminki metro station, then when exiting the subway, go left and take bus No. 169 or No. 529M. The road will be long, because you will have to go to the final stop, which is called “Hospital”.

From the Vykhino metro station: we go to the stop “138 quarter Vykhino” by bus number 209. Here is the Estate of Father Frost in Kuzminki. We told you how to get to this fabulous place.

If desired, you can book tickets for excursions and other entertainment. To do this, you need to contact representatives of the complex by phone or via the Internet:

  • 8 (495) 6576046 – telephone number of Santa Claus mail;
  • 8 (495) 6576052 – visitor relations department;
  • 8 (915) 0091252 - telephone number of the skating rink.

Give your child a New Year's fairy tale and come to Kuzminki Park! The estate of Father Frost, the photos clearly confirm this, will definitely please everyone. Your child and you will have fun here!

Santa Claus Mail

The post office is the final point on the tour of the Residence of Father Frost. It is here that letters from all over Russia are delivered from children with wishes, congratulations, requests and even personal secrets. There is a competition for the best letter here. Also in the New Year's mail they teach you how to write letters correctly, tell you when Santa Claus's birthday is, and tell you how to choose the right words when writing.

Additionally, children are introduced to Grandfather's walking boots. If you wish, you can write a letter by mail or during a tea party with the New Year's Wizard. Also, many people send a letter to the address Kuzminsky Les, Volgogradsky Prospekt, building 168. At the end, you must add a recipient (to whom: Grandfather Frost!). Index: 109472.

Father Frost's post office in the Moscow estate

The post office is the first building on the estate. Now the main thing at the Wizard's Post is the Snowman Postman. In the summer he usually sleeps and should not be woken up. Otherwise he might wake up and melt.

Every year, more than 25 thousand letters are sent to the Moscow estate of Father Frost by mail. To cope with processing such a large amount of correspondence, Santa Claus has walking boots. They are not afraid of blizzards, blizzards, or even the legendary Moscow traffic jams. Also, Grandfather Frost has a magical bottomless chest at the post office, which stores all the letters from children, as well as letters from parents and grandparents.

You must write to Santa Claus at the following address: 109047, Moscow, Kuzminsky Forest, to the Moscow Estate of Father Frost.

Tower of Father Frost

This is a 2-story building with neat windows. Inside, on the 1st floor in the hall, there is a large throne that can seat two ten-year-old children. Children enjoy sitting on the Throne and making wishes. Here you can also view a collection of floor and wall clocks.

Terem is located:

  1. Refectory.
  2. Living room.
  3. Bedroom.
  4. Wardrobe.
  5. Study.

In the refectory there are interesting old things that are of great value. These collections are available for viewing, but you cannot touch them with your hands. In addition to old antiques, there is a bronze samovar.

The bedroom has a large bed, 7 pillows, 2 soft bolsters and a wardrobe with round metal handles. There is a toy owl on the cabinet. Sheer tulle curtains with blue snowflakes decorate a window with a wooden frame. To the right of the bed is a nightstand with a white artificial fir tree on it.

Opposite the bed there is a corner cabinet on which there are figurines of Father Frost and the Snow Maiden, as well as a miniature house, boxes with gifts, snow-white spruce trees with blue toys, and a soft Christmas tree made of pillows.

On the way from the bedroom to the office, you can notice gifts for the New Year holiday. To do this, you need to raise your head up. There are many shelves on which gift boxes are placed.

On the ground floor in the living room there is a throne, and opposite, near the window, there is a table with five chairs. On the table there is a samovar and a large bowl of tangerines. In the corner there is a real decorated fir tree, and next to it there is a large mountain of gift boxes. Paintings depicting Santa Claus, a pine forest, and Terem are hung in all rooms.

Father Frost's estate in Latchi

While there is time to personally meet the fairy-tale character and his granddaughter, you should not miss this opportunity. This will bring joy and happiness not only to young children, but also to their parents. To make sure everyone has an interesting time at the estate, they can expect:

— Personal meeting with the wizard; — School of assistants; — Quest; - Play; - A delicious gift.

You can book a tour to visit the wizard’s residence right now by submitting a request on the website. After which the fairytale grandfather will be waiting for you in his house. There is little time left until the New Year, which means it’s time to think about its celebration.

Your children will be delighted with the idea of going to visit Santa Claus. Many children know that he lives somewhere far away in the North in his magic house. On New Year's Eve, he delivers gifts to all the children and fulfills people's deepest wishes.

Previously, no one had any idea where grandfather actually lived. But at the end of the last century he acquired real estate in the city of Ustyug. This is an ancient wooden town, which is located in the northeast of the Vologda region.

In this city you can visit the post office, where children send their letters of wishes to the wizard. It is there that you can send a postcard to your family with the stamp of your fairy-tale grandfather, buy magical souvenirs and meet your grandfather, see his beautiful possessions. Such sights make even adults believe in miracles. And since the New Year holidays are a time of miracles, then why not believe in them.

Veliki, the city where Grandfather Frost lives, is famous for its ancient history, the presence of a fairy-tale tower, and many souvenirs. By going on an excursion to this town, you can learn a lot of interesting things. But traveling with children is not always convenient. Therefore, for the convenience of the guests, the bearded grandfather decided to go closer himself.

But now there is no need to travel outside the city to meet a fairy-tale hero. Just half an hour's drive and you are already on its territory, which you can visit. Go to a unique place located near the capital and enjoy your stay there, discover new entertainment. Especially for the convenience of guests, ideal conditions are created in which everyone will feel as comfortable as possible. You just have to plan your time in advance and book rooms.

The Snow Maiden's Tower

The two-story house is very small, but beautiful. All coverings and furniture are made of wood. Inside there is the same stove from Russian fairy tales, as well as many items from the tower: a hand spinning wheel, shelves, seats.

Everything inside and outside is built of wood. On the ground floor there is a stove made from Russian fairy tales and other themed items. The room of Santa Claus's granddaughter is also located here. The second floor is reserved for special excursions and master classes.

There is also a room for snowmen in Terem. On the ground floor, while drinking tea, the Snow Maiden tells the children about her life, receiving guests, and hobbies. She also remembers how hard life used to be for people, what they ate, how they took a bath, and that ironing of things was done using a heavy cast-iron iron.

A white tablecloth with a blue pattern is spread on a long table. There are chairs on the sides and a spinning wheel opposite. Above the table hangs a shelf with a tea set that has the same blue pattern as the tablecloth and curtains.

Tower of Creativity

Near the post office there is the House of Creativity. To visit, you must purchase an entrance ticket in advance. Master classes, competitions, prize draws, exhibitions, concerts and staged fairy tales are held inside.

Not far from the entrance there is a throne similar to the one in the Tower of Father Frost. Everyone takes pictures there and makes a wish. The windows of the Terem are decorated with green garland and tinsel. The spruce tree to the left of the throne is hung with gold bows and red balls.

It is very beautiful here at night. The entrance is illuminated with bright lamps, and garland flickers in the windows. The throne can also be seen from afar. And you can take pictures on it, even when it gets dark.

Ice rink

The residence of Father Frost in Kuzminki has an ice skating rink with a canopy. It works all year round. A pleasant melody sounds at the skating rink. The ice is artificial, well lit in the evening. Additionally, there is a locker room nearby. You can bring your own skates or rent them.

Closed on Monday. There are public skating sessions, but their working days should be checked at the box office before purchasing an entrance ticket or on the official website. Skate rental – 240 rub. at one o'clock.

It must be remembered that rental is carried out only after the provision of documents, which should be left as a deposit. It is better to take your passport or driver’s license with you to the Estate.

Ticket – 300 rub.
at one o'clock. Children under 4 – 200 rub. Children have free admission and unlimited time. Beginners are advised to attend a master class at the Ice Magic skating rink before going on the ice. Tall ceiling-mounted posters with images of magical New Year's characters are hung on the walls. Ribbon multi-colored stripes in the form of garlands hang near the ceiling as decoration.

Game sports town

The residence of Father Frost provides the opportunity to visit the play sports town. This is a favorite place for children. Those interested can go sledding, skiing or slides. Tickets for all attractions are sold at the ticket office at the entrance to the Estate in Kuzminki.

Cheesecakes and sleigh rentals are available near the slides. There is also a horse-drawn sleigh. For lovers of exotic things and old Russian fairy tales, there is a Russian stove where you can ride and have fun. There are inflatable sleighs and a train for the little ones. But such attractions are allowed only when accompanied by parents. A ticket for an adult can be purchased at the ticket office, and children under 4 years old are admitted free of charge.

Fairy tale trail

The path leads to the houses of fairy-tale characters. It stretches through a coniferous forest. Tourists will be able to slowly walk through a pine forest, photographing small statues of animals that live in the magical forest.

Children will visit the house of the Forester, Baba Aushka and Owl, walk past the cave in which Bear Potapych lives, take pictures near the enchanted well, and will be able to sit in Erofeich’s clearing.

The trail of fairy tales at the residence of Father Frost in Kuzminki

The fairytale forest is rich in secrets. Usually they are told in the evening, having lit a fire of the brothers-months, not far from the clearing . The trail of fairy tales leads to the Tower of Father Frost. This is the starting point, and first the children will visit the coniferous forest, slowly moving towards the Estate.

After a tour of Father Frost's Tower, kids will also return home via the Fairy Tale Trail. It’s beautiful in the forest in the evening – there is artificial lighting. For the New Year's holiday, all fairy-tale heroes are hung with luminous garlands. And it is impossible to get lost here, there is only one path and it leads to the exit from the forest.

Santa Claus Theater

In the famous New Year's Wizard Theater, children will be able to watch a performance and take pictures in the enchanted Kingdom of Crooked Mirrors (which is very uplifting even for adults!).

The children will also visit a “paper” exhibition of letters from all over the world. These are the best letters that won prizes in competitions. After the performance, the Snow Maiden will distribute sweet hot pastries to each child. The buns are prepared according to the personal recipe of the granddaughter of Santa Claus.

On November 17th and 18th of each year, the Theater hosts special performances. These days, Santa Claus invites everyone to his birthday.

Nutcracker and Cinderella: “Trail of Fairy Tales” appeared in the Moscow estate of Father Frost

Text author Alisa TITKO

New Year's magic begins with a letter to Santa Claus, then for a whole month you imagine how he opens your envelope, sitting by the fireplace, reads it and asks his assistants to wrap you a gift. Today, children can go to Father Frost's Estate and see how the good wizard lives. Look at his mansion, look into his office and bedroom, see the Snow Maiden and even go on rides in the mini-park. To do this, you need to come with your parents to the Moscow estate of Father Frost on Volgogradsky Prospekt.

The estate of Father Frost has been made even more interesting this year. This is where the “Trail of Fairy Tales” appeared. These are 65 sculptures of heroes from famous works: “The Wizard of the Emerald City”, “Alice in Wonderland”, “The Nutcracker and the Mouse King”, “Cinderella”, “12 Months” and “Christmas Tree”.

— We decided to open the “Trail of Fairy Tales” on Father Frost’s birthday. This is such a gift to him. But what about: Grandfather gives gifts to everyone, but to him? – say the organizers.

It feels like you’re in all the fairy tales at once - Cinderella is going to a ball, evil wizards are brewing a potion, Alice and the Hatter are calling for a tea party, and 12 moon brothers are collecting a basket of snowdrops and discussing preparations for the New Year. The sculptures were integrated into a new landscape park, where 550 trees were planted, including spruce, alder, juniper, hawthorn, spirea and other perennial green crops. More than 30 street lamps and 18 decorative benches were installed.

— A walk along the “Fairy Tale Trail,” as well as a visit to the estate of Father Frost, is free for everyone. And if guests want to learn unknown facts about their favorite fairy tales and become participants in an extraordinary New Year’s story, then they will be able to attend a unique excursion and interactive program conducted by the Postman Snowman. At the end of the excursion, children and parents will certainly meet Santa Claus, the organizers said.

And here is Santa Claus himself. In a blue fur coat. With a big white beard. He did not talk about his age on his birthday.

“How many years, how many winters,” Santa Claus joked. — But I liked the gift with characters from fairy tales. I hope that the guests of my estate will also appreciate it.

Estate of Father Frost in Kuzminki: history of creation and photos

The Moscow estate of Father Frost is very small, literally two towers, a New Year's post office, and an ice skating rink. All this can be seen in literally one and a half to two hours, provided that you study everything very carefully.

A brief history of the creation of Father Frost's estate in Kuzminki

To be honest, we believed that the estate of Father Frost in Kuzminki was many years old and the history of its creation began in the USSR. But it turned out that we were very mistaken. As it turned out, this project is very young - it is just over 10 years old. The first crown of the wooden tower of Father Frost was laid only in 2004 on the territory of the Kuzminsky forest. In 2005, the wizard’s residence opened its doors to guests for the first time, and a year later the Snow Maiden’s tower, a creative house and an ice skating rink were built. The estate is open all year round and always welcomes its guests.

Tower of Father Frost in Kuzminki

Any excursion to the estate of Father Frost begins with a visit to the tower. There are only two rooms in the mansion: a bedroom and an office, because during his business trip to Moscow, grandfather works a lot.

Tower of Father Frost

In the wizard's bedchamber everything is very modest: a bed, a wardrobe and a mirror. All the items in the bedroom are magical. So, for example, you hang a suit in the closet that is dirty or torn, and in the morning you open the doors - and the clothes are already as good as new. In the mirror, Santa Claus can see how the guys behave, and under the blanket... However, it’s better to go on an excursion to see everything for yourself, and at the same time find out why Santa needs 7 pillows!

Santa Claus's bedroom

Santa Claus's bedroom

From the bedroom we head to the office, but along the way, look up to see the mountains of gifts that Santa Claus's assistants are preparing for the holidays. They will all fly across the country to the children, so that on the morning of January 1st they will find themselves under the Christmas trees.

It's October, and gift preparation is already in full swing.

Magic clock in the estate of Father Frost

Santa Claus's office is very spacious, but everything in it is only the most necessary. Tables for guests with treats and samovars, a telephone and, of course, a magic throne on which wishes are made.

The Snow Maiden's Tower in Kuzminki

From the mansion of Father Frost the excursion goes to the mansion of the Snow Maiden. The tower was built by Kostroma craftsmen, because the granddaughter of the main New Year's wizard comes from Kostroma.

The Snow Maiden's Tower

The Snow Maiden's house is even smaller than the house of Father Frost. On the second floor there are rooms for master classes, and on the first floor there is a sorceress’s room. The Snow Maiden's room is spacious, it has both a stove and a greenhouse for snowmen.

In her mansion, the granddaughter of Santa Claus relaxes and receives guests, and also tells the children many interesting facts about how they used to live in the village, wash in the stove and iron with cast iron irons.

Santa Claus Mail

The last point of our excursion program to the estate of Father Frost in Kuzminki was the New Year's mail. The one where letters from kids come from all over the country. Here we were told when Grandfather’s birthday was, we were introduced to boots, and, of course, we were taught how to correctly write letters to Santa Claus’s post office.

If you decide to write a letter, you can send it to Ustyug, or you can send it to Moscow at the address:

109472 Moscow, Kuzminsky forest Volgogradsky prospect, ow. 168D to Grandfather Frost!

Personally, we sent our letters to both Ustyug and Moscow and, just so it doesn’t get lost at all, by email, which can be found on the official website.
