We have already been to Lake Ipkul, this time we were amazed by the amount of water, the level was very high, there was noticeably less vegetation near the shore. As you know, Lake Ipkul has a very soft bottom, long sticks (stamens) were used to fix the boat in place, the anchors go deep into the silt, then it is very difficult to pull it out. There are a lot of stamens in the water; if you are too lazy, you can swim out and use other people’s stamens. Due to the ripples in the water, it was quite difficult to detect bites using float rods. But the crucian carp was active and sometimes did not give time for a smoke break. I would like to pay special attention to feeder fishing from a boat. The boat was actively rocking on the waves, the quicker was actively playing, I used the green quicker, the softest in my set. For a long time I could not understand how to determine the bite, until the bite began, the crucian carp tugged with wild force, the vibration from the rod was transmitted to the boat, I felt the bite with my whole body. The rod jerked with sharp jerks, creating the feeling that it was about to fly out of the boat. Therefore, all attention was focused on the float. The best part is that when you bite on the feeder, the fish is hooked and you can safely fish it out. There was no need for an immediate reaction like when fishing with a float. By about 4 p.m., we finished fishing, pulled the boat ashore and began to dry it, the warm sun came out, and the wind almost died down. We wanted to stay and enjoy the pleasant warm sun, but we were pretty tired. And now to the question that most people have when traveling to Lake Ipkul. Is fishing allowed on Lake Ipkul? At the entrance to the lake there is a sign that fishing is prohibited, but there are fishermen on the shore and they were calmly pulling crucians, a motor boat was crossing the lake all day, apparently these were the lake’s tenants. Archaeological sites

These places are also very interesting in terms of archaeology. People have lived here for a long time.

The first archaeological excavations in these places back in 1883 were carried out by Ivan Slovtsov , the founder of the Tyumen Local History Museum. On the southern shore of Small Andrew's Lake he found interesting artifacts. Subsequently, excavations continued. Since then, several settlements of our distant ancestors have been found on the shores of the Andreevskaya lake system. Archaeologists date the oldest finds to the 5th millennium BC .

In the 9th - 18th centuries, Mansi sanctuaries . During the excavations, religious objects, weapons, jewelry made of bronze and even silver were discovered. Local Mansi maintained active trade relations. Furs were exchanged for silver.

Based on the finds, archaeologists identified a new archaeological culture, named after Lake Andreevskaya .

Now more than 30 archaeological sites : 19 settlements, 5 burial grounds, 6 settlements and 1 sanctuary.

In 2013, during archaeological practice on Lake Andreevskoe, students made a unique find - they discovered a copper cauldron with treasure . The treasure contained approximately two kilograms of silver jewelry and coins. Among them are Arab coins of the 10th-11th centuries, pendants with precious stones, and bead necklaces.

As Alexei Gordienko, candidate of historical sciences, who heads the excavations, told reporters, such coins were found in Western Siberia for the first time.

“The treasure belonged to the ancestors of the Mansi, we base it on the fact that it was found at a settlement belonging to the Yuda archaeological culture. The objects themselves are almost all imported and were made in Volga Bulgaria,” the scientist noted.

The cauldron with jewelry was found by chance at a depth of 40-50 centimeters. The treasure dates back to the 10th-12th centuries AD.
