How are fish found in the Anapka River?

Well, what can I say, guys? As the classic used to say: “The smaller a woman we are, the smaller she is to us.” Sometimes you just want to exclaim: more is better, less is not necessary! So, it’s the same with fishing. The more time and attention we devote to it, the faster we get positive results. So, we take a spinning rod and go to the rocky wild beaches of the High Coast.

But first we need to figure out the equipment, namely what, how and what we will fish with. Therefore, a brief educational program addressed primarily to vacationers, tourists - in general, to all those who, knowing nothing and not being able to do sea fishing, hope for a small catch in the form of fat (and not so fat) fish.

I will try to be as detailed and clear as possible. We will need a spinning rod (telescopic or plug-in) with a length of 2.4 to 3 m with a test, the average range of which is about 30g. For example, 10-40 or 15-50. Those. it must withstand the power throws of a bombard of such weight, as they say, “with all the foolishness.” Therefore, it is better to take care of rods with a test weight of up to 20 grams so that they do not simply slam during casting. For example, I use this:

What's wrong with the coil? You need a spinning spool of size 2000-3000 according to the Shimano classification or a spinning spool whose spool holds at least 100 m of monofilament with a diameter of 0.22-0.25 mm. Large reels (from 4000 according to Shimano) or large capacity spools are simply useless. No power is required at all, and casting further than 80m simply tires when reeling. Not to mention the considerable weight of such gear, when multiple casts simply tire your hands.

Also, do not forget that the fishing line should be wound either flush with the side of the spool, or a couple of millimeters lower. This greatly affects casting distance. If the length of the fishing line is less than the line capacity of the spool, then the so-called. “backing”: electrical tape is wound onto an empty spool to reduce its capacity, and then adjusted to the desired result using the “poke” method. So to speak, “by eye”.

Along the line. Having a long experience of fishing with braids from different manufacturers, I can say with confidence that in these conditions braids are simply not needed. Well, if only for show-off. Firstly, the actual diameter of the braided cord (measured with an optical micrometer) turns out to be much thicker than stated on the packaging. As a result, even the most expensive cord turns out to be not much thinner than the monofilament we need. Secondly, the slightly smaller diameter of the cord is completely offset by its abrasiveness - the friction force against the side and rings during descent significantly reduces the casting distance. As a result, the cord, which costs an order of magnitude more, flies the same (and sometimes closer) as a simple, cheap monofilament. Not to mention the fact that we don’t need strength in these conditions - the strength of a 0.22-0.25mm monofilament is quite sufficient. So, we wind the simplest and cheapest monk, and don’t bother with this issue anymore.

Next we need a bombard. All local stores have them in different sizes and properties. Bombards can be floating, sinking or slowly sinking. We only need a slowly sinking one weighing 25 or 30g.

Let's move directly to the equipment. You need to assemble a fluorocarbon leash 1.5 m long. To do this you will need any fluorocarbon fishing line with a diameter of 0.16-0.18mm

As well as small triple (preferably triple) swivels and hooks of approximately 11-12 numbers. We don’t bother here either.

We assemble the leash, and later for transportation and storage we wrap it on a small foam rubber.

We collect all the gear.

For bait we use maggots (white or red), which can always be bought in fishing stores in Anapa. There are usually 2 to 5 pieces on a hook. The tackle is ready. It should also be taken into account that the bite is much better at sunset, at dusk and at night. And for this you will need a headlamp.

That's all with the hardware. You can fish all over the rocky Vysokoy Bank; there are simply no special “cool” places. You should also know that when the sea water temperature is below 14 degrees, which happens in winter, the fish do not bite at all, since they are at depth, beyond the reach of the spinning rod.

A little about fishing technique. The bombard with an attached leash hangs 20-30cm from the tip of the spinning rod, and a power cast is made to 50-80m. This is followed by a pause of several seconds so that the bombard sinks to the bottom or is not high from it. The depth at this distance is generally from 3 to 5 m. The bottom consists of large boulders overgrown with algae and sharp shell rock (for this we need a fluorocarbon leash).

If the bombard has reached the bottom, lift it with a short sharp jerk and very slowly pull it above the very bottom. Having felt the hooks in the algae, we increase the reeling speed, thereby lifting the equipment a little higher. You can also call this technique a “running donkey”. All skill lies in the ability to hold the bait at a minimum distance from the bottom, without catching on the grass and shell rock.

Having felt the bite, we hook sharply and briefly, raise the rod vertically up and quickly reel in the line, preventing the fish from getting into the grass. That's all, actually. There are several more ways of fishing with spinning rods, incl. for silicone, small vibrators, etc., but if you are primarily interested in the result, and not the process itself, you should fish only with this method. It covers almost all coastal fish species, with the exception of pelengas. Maggot serves as a universal attachment for these purposes. You can also add that almost all locals fish exclusively this way. Well, a modest catch in a couple of hours.

Fishing from the shore.

Shore fishing is very popular among locals and travelers. After all, such fishing will not hit your wallet, it is free. Local authorities allow casting spinning rods from the shore. A favorite fishing place among local residents is the village of Maly Utrish. In these places you can catch a lot of beaver and horse mackerel.

Also not far from the village there is a tourist center “Juniper Paradise”. The base is not expensive. The most expensive room plus an expensive tour will cost 7,000 rubles per day. Middle class costs from 3,000 rubles per day. There you can not only go fishing, but also have entertainment events.

How to get to the Vityazevsky Estuary

If you choose the village of Vityazevo for your vacation, then getting to the estuary is very easy. Several streets lead from any area of the settlement to the healing bay, along which you can walk to places provided for recreation and mud therapy.

Minibus taxis run from the Anapa bus station at intervals of 15 minutes. Public transport stops in the area of the Palace of Culture, and from there you need to walk about 1 km to the estuary.

Post Views: 2,095

It is advisable to go to the bay through the “Greek” village of Vityazevo. There is an access road leading to it from the busy A-290 highway, connecting Anapa with the air terminal and the Kavkaz port. Already from the settlement itself it is easy to get to any shore of the lake.

Note to tourists

  • Address: Anapa, Krasnodar region, Russia.
  • GPS coordinates: 45.033604, 37.232743.

The lake is located in the north-west of the village. It can be reached from anywhere in the resort on foot. But the banks are heavily overgrown with reeds, so it is not possible to go into the water everywhere.

To swim in the Vityazevsky Estuary, it is better to use points popular with the locals. The first is located in the area of the Palace of Culture, where Naberezhnaya and Limannaya streets converge. Coordinates: N45.000980, E37.272696.

Anapa is located on the Black Sea coast. The Black Sea is very rich in fish. Local authorities allow fishing from the Black Sea shore. But, if you want to catch more impressive prey, you will have to rent a yacht. Yacht rental in 2021 will be: 7,000 rubles per hour - two-story yacht with captain

Yacht with one cabin and captain – 2500 rubles per hour. You can bring your own gear, bait, and lures to use or rent them from the store. A universal bait is shrimp. You can fish at sea using spinning rods or tackle.

Fishing in ponds and lakes

Fishing in ponds is very common among local residents. After all, there are a lot of ponds in this region. Thanks to the mild climate, you can go fishing at any time of the year. You can fish in ponds with both a float rod and a spinning rod. There you can catch:

  • Asp.
  • Perch.
  • Pike.
  • Pike perch.

There is also paid fishing in ponds. The ponds are distinguished by the fact that they are stocked with fish. For example, the Kubansky Khutor tourist center, everything there is done for the fisherman. Various bridges, gazebos, various baits, fishing rods. Wide variety of fish:

  • White amur.
  • Som.
  • Carp.
  • Ram.
  • Pike.
  • Carp.
  • Crucian carp.
  • Silver carp.
  • Rudd.
  • Perch.

Renting a separate island with gazebos will cost you 12,000 rubles. The average price for fishing plus accommodation will be about 6,000 rubles. The lakes in this region also contain a wide variety of fish. For example, Lake “Eagle” is located 20 kilometers from Anapa.

The lake is very rich in fish. Entrance to the lake is paid. Fishing with an overnight stay will cost you 800 rubles. You will be provided with five fishing rods per person free of charge. A boat can also be provided for you. After all, you can catch a lot more fish from a boat.

Fishing in rivers

In Anapa there are not only many lakes and ponds, but also rivers. Fishing in the rivers is very exciting. Armed with a spinning rod and lures, you will get an unforgettable fishing experience. For example, the Anapka River, although a small river, is rich in a variety of fish. There are:

  1. Pike;
  2. Bleak;
  3. crucian carp;
  4. Perch;
  5. Tench;
  6. Loach;
  7. Carp;
  8. Rudd;
  9. Ram.

Fishing is absolutely free. You just have to choose the right place. Local residents advise fishing at the mouth of the river.

Fishing at sea

Accompanied by the melodious sound of the train wheels and the contemplation of the open spaces on the fast train from Moscow to Anapa, my mood with my friend Nikolavna improved every hour. All Moscow, home, work and other everyday problems seemed to dissolve in an atmosphere of happiness and anticipation of meeting the south and the smell of salty sea air, but most importantly - in anticipation of fishing.

Fishing is a mandatory and favorite activity for us during moments of relaxation and communication with nature. And here we have the whole sea at our disposal, where would we be without fishing? And when at one of the stations our six-year-old partner, friend and Nikolaevna’s grandson Lech, joined us, everything that was left at home completely flew out of our heads. And so, having fun, we got to the Anapa train station, which, I note, was very clean. Now a bunch of fishing rods, floats, donks and other gear were waiting for their finest hour. It’s May 18 outside, the air temperature is +26, the water temperature is about +17. Just right for fishing.

From my previous trips to Anapa fifteen years ago, I recalled that local fishermen always fished at the city pier and on the Anapka River, which flows into the sea. The city pier, as it turned out, had thoroughly rotted over these 15 years and was closed for repairs, but the river continued to flow in the same direction. Therefore, it was decided to buy worms at the market, interview the local population about where they were biting and what they were biting on, find a relatively quiet place and go fishing in the evening.

We ran around looking for cooler places, and it became clear that no one was fishing in the Anapka floodplains themselves. Locals and visitors sat in the creek. Donks and spinners were not included here. Everyone was fishing exclusively with a float and white bread. But no one bit. It's as if there are no fish in this river.

The next evening it was decided to change the place. Having moved to the other side of the creek, we found three local aborigines who had blocked the entire river with two nets across the entire river in two places... We gave up on such fishing and went to look for another place.

Our next fishing destination was the village of Sukko, located 13 km from Anapa. It is located in the valley of the Sukko River, surrounded by mountains. Once upon a time fifteen years ago, there was also a pier here. However, everything is changing. There is no pier, and people fish directly from the shore. Tackle - a spinning rod, a spinning reel, a fishing line on which a stake of 4-5 hooks is tied through a swivel, at the end of the fishing line - a sinker of about 20 grams or a Tyrolean stick of the same weight. Bait: shrimp, dung worm. Red mullet, sea ruffe, and blenny are caught. The latter is more active.

The fisherman on our left was slowly carrying the entire listed assortment of fish. And Lekha and I, having thrown our fishing rods, periodically climbed into the sea to freshen up. Let me note that the presence of people swimming had no effect on the bite. Therefore, this time we were lucky too.

Finally got around to it. Modest, but nonetheless.

The next day our detachment moved on. This time to Bolshaya Utrish. We fished here with the same gear as on Sukko: a set of 5 hooks and a Tyrolean stick. Fishing was made difficult by marine vegetation, which was driven by the changing wind and, accordingly, the current.

You throw the tackle into the water and wait for a bite. They themselves have been sitting since 9 am, they have about a dozen red mullet to their credit. Yeah, and it’s 15.00... Here I’m a little depressed. Six hours for a dozen mullet... A taxi here costs 500 rubles, a mullet at the market costs 400 rubles per kilo. No, you can, of course, travel by transfer minibuses, but it will take too long. It was fitting that I remembered the folk wisdom about sheepskin and its preparation.

The subsequent daytime heat at +36, and then at +39, led to the fact that the sea warmed up, and the mullet’s run began to decline.

then right on the beach of our boarding house, in the shallow waters, rapans lived. And one day after lunch, taking advantage of the calm and clear water, I collected enough of them for testing. Finding shellfish was quite easy. You go and examine the bottom through the clear water. Living shells differ from empty shells in color, shifted towards greenish. It was much more difficult to pick out the treasured protein from the shell. Having broken off the tip of my favorite knife, I took a mini-shovel from my backpack and went under the cover of darkness to fight with the shells on the stone steps of our building. After a short “fight,” the rapana surrendered.

In the morning, the “revenge” of the rapans awaited me. In some places on the fingers of the hands that actively picked the meat of the rapans, the skin acquired a green tint, and after immersing these very hands in sea water it became completely purple. Moreover, it cannot be washed off with any soap. But the rapanas themselves turned out to be very tasty and aromatic. At home, to my shame, I learned that it was easier to cook rapana in shells. Then you wouldn't have to worry about getting them out of there.

Once, leaving Lech with her grandmother for a quiet hour, I went to explore the Vityazevsky Estuary, located north of Anapa in the village of the same name, a 15-minute ride by minibus. In the satellite image, the estuary was impressive in size, and local websites were actively promoting fishing in it. But don’t always trust the Internet. From the side of the village of Vityazevo, indeed, the once vast water area of the estuary stretched.

But now, with drained water, an overgrown bank and abundant colonies of seagulls, it looked like a huge drying puddle, reminiscent of an environmental disaster. I couldn’t believe my eyes and began asking locals about what I saw. The good-natured population confirmed the situation and advised me to sit and fish in the local pond since I had already arrived. I didn’t sit on the pond...

Four days before the end of the vacation, our detachment moved on reconnaissance to the area of the so-called High Bank of Anapa. Descent to the sea by steps, pebble beach, stones, respectful depth and a pier protruding far into the sea. Well, I think, finally. I try the first cast on a pile of stones near the shore.

A young fisherman from among the visitors is trying to seduce ruffs with a spinning tackle on a twister. There are pokes, but no bites. I throw a bet with a Tyrolean stick. The rate brings huge bunches of sea mud... The fisherman on the left says that that year, on Sukko, not in the sea, but on the lake, and such pikes... Shows the size with his hands. And here it’s as silent as in a tank. Meanwhile, the local fishing elite is actively coming to the pier.

I move towards them. And again I am very disappointed. Here they catch exclusively horse mackerel, exclusively with tyrant or bombardo, and the process itself, that is, biting, will begin after sunset. And now all the seats are occupied. It turns out that my bet with the Tyrolean stick is not relevant here at all. Just hook the hooks into the mud.

Three days before departure, returning from the market, Nikolavna and I drew attention to the civilian part of the Anapka River. Right in the city. The number of fishermen present made one wonder: is everything so bad with fish in Anapka? And a hefty cage with crucian carp from one of the 13-year-old fishermen directly said that they needed to fish here. Only early in the morning, while the city is sleeping. At first, out of habit, we tried to get into the wilderness, and didn’t even consider fishing 100 meters from the embankment.

So, a new plan was born. In the morning, before the signal, Nikolavna wakes me up. Two float rods collected in the evening are waiting at the door. I grab my backpack and go. The morning is cloudy and stuffy. The minibuses are not running yet. I practically run towards the river. Every minute of a quiet morning is worth its weight in gold.

And here I am. 7 am. Clouds are frowning overhead. If only it wasn't raining.

I take a deep breath. I feel like there is crucian carp here, but the main thing is not to rush. Cast, the float goes with the flow. A bite, a hook, and now it sparkles with its golden scaly side on the grass. The next crucian carp goes to the cage in 5 minutes. Then the third. Then a couple of gatherings. And here is also a roach in the bycatch. I look at the time - 8 am, and from behind the clouds the southern sun smiles welcomingly. That's it, the rains are canceled!

Then follows a short break in bites. Apparently, the ducks swarmed in and scared them away. But after half an hour I don’t have time to keep track of the two fishing rods. I throw one into the wiring, the second closer to the grass. Oh, it’s a pity, Nikolavna stayed in the room. Well, you can’t leave sleeping Lech alone. By 9 a.m. I realize that my fishpond resembles the one the young fisherman had yesterday. From the other side of the shore, a fisherman approaches. He looks with barely concealed envy. Grumpily asks what I'm fishing for. He mumbles something under his breath and goes back to his own people. To summarize: the maximum fishing program has been completed. There is fishing in Anapa. There is a tan on our rested bodies. The swimming season is open, and not a day has been missed...

Rest on the Vityazevsky Estuary

Today, the Vityazevsky Estuary has an area of 64 square meters. km – a large regional center could easily fit on its territory. Its depth reaches 2 m, the average is 1.3 m, which suggests that diving here is problematic for an adult. Staraya Kuban and Gostagayka carry their waters here. In addition, the water is desalinated due to atmospheric precipitation, and it falls here even in winter. The shape of the reservoir is triangular, the longest shore is the southwestern one, by the way, this is a sand dam between the estuary and the Black Sea water area.

Is it possible to bathe in this “medium salted” bowl? The already named “lintel” - unlike the rest of the coast of the estuary, covered with swamps, reeds, reeds and cattails - really allows this closed lake to be used as a resort. But only as a medicinal one. Here they smear themselves with healing mud (sulfide peloids). The mini-sea warms up quickly. The slope of entry into the water is very small. In general, a “paddling pool”. The shores of the described attraction are silt (except for “erik”, where there is sand and shell rock). Almost the entire circumference is covered with “swampy” vegetation and bushes.

The transparency of the “water” leaves much to be desired; in fact, it is a bad-smelling liquid brine, black and gray mud. In terms of acidity, the estuary is close to “average” values (pH 7.1-7.9). The mud solution has a high magnesium content, as well as a degree of mineralization - 52-64 g/l. Naturally, salt arrives as part of storm waves rolling over the sand bar.

Climbing out of the “health-improving” mud, beachgoers run for an hour or two to the cleansing waves of the Black Sea, crossing the sandy space of the “lintel,” which in some places reaches a kilometer wide. However, some splash around with Suvorov-Cherkessky. But even there (albeit deeper), everything is covered in nasty green mud. Fishing seems more valuable (more on that at the end). The crabs will also gather in the net!

Fishing from the shore in Sukko

In general, you can fish in Anapa itself, but it is somewhat useless: there are no quiet places left, the fish do not approach the shore. Another thing is Sukko. It is still quite possible to find something quite quiet and peaceful here. They fish with a spinning rod and a spinning reel with a dung worm or shrimp (preferably fresh, you can buy it at the local market).

There is no need to count on any special successes here. You can catch blenny, red mullet, and sea ruff. Everything is quite small, but enough for fish soup over a fire. Vacationers swim nearby, which for some reason does not affect the bite. Perhaps the fish got used to people and the noise they made.

Big Utrish

They also fish in Bolshoi Utrish, the gear is as follows: a Tyrolean stick and a bet of 5 hooks. Mostly it is red mullet, and besides, fishing becomes problematic due to the sea vegetation that is driven here by the wind.

But if you have a spatula, you can collect rapans, they are delicious. And on the market they are expensive enough to pay for the trip. It is best to cook them in your own sink, this will make it easier to remove the meat without the risk of cutting yourself or breaking your favorite knife. But in general you need to handle them carefully: you can get deeply and severely injured. And when collecting, you should learn to figure out where the living shells are, so as not to end up with a collection of dummies. So, those that are useful in culinary terms have a greenish tint.

Highland

Getting to the fishing spots on the High Bank is a bit difficult, the cliffs are serious, so it’s worth taking a flashlight with you. Especially considering the fact that mackerel is caught here using a bombard, and the best bite begins after sunset. And, by the way, you need to occupy fishing spots in advance. But, they say, a sea of impressions is literally guaranteed.

You can still fish in the Anapka River, in the part that is located right in the city. Crucian carp are doing well, and roach is often caught. But since this will no longer be sea fishing from the shore, we will not go into detail in this post. In any case, when you come on vacation in Anapa, you can go fishing! The main thing is to find out every time where the most fishing spots are now. Have a nice holiday!

About the fish that are caught on sea fishing in Anapa

Most of the Black Sea fish can be caught on sea fishing in Anapa using the “tyrant”. Gear is provided to you free of charge. The captain will tell you how to use them, although everything is easy and simple. During a boat trip to fishing spots, you will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the sights of Anapa ( Vysokoy Bereg, lighthouse, Lysaya Gora

). We recommend taking a camera with you and taking a photo against the backdrop of the Anapa coast and the sea.

In summer there is the opportunity to swim in the open sea.

When you have reached the sea fishing spot, you can start fishing. Throw in a tyrant, wait until the sinker sinks to the bottom. Then we gradually wind the line onto the reel, making slack. When it bites, you will feel the vibration of the fishing line and fishing rod. We pull out the fish and repeat the process until it’s cool...

In Anapa in the summer, in September, October and November, Black Sea fish bite better on bait when fishing

. The best, simple and affordable bait is the Black Sea shrimp (“antennae”). Baiting process: the tail and head are cut off and put on the hook. Shrimp, as a universal bait, makes it possible to easily catch sea bass, horse mackerel, and laskir (sea crucian). Sometimes instead of shrimp you can use chicken, squid or fish you caught. The captain will instruct you.

Stavridka

- “Queen of the Black Sea.” In Anapa it is caught almost all year round. The depth of its habitat is more than 10 meters. At this depth, it is convenient to catch horse mackerel only from a yacht or boat. Horse mackerel fishing is ideal for all vacationers who come to the resort town of Anapa and are going sea fishing for the first time. Anyone who can hold a fishing rod can easily catch these silver fish. The horse mackerel feeds on small fish. Often whole flocks of horse mackerel jump to the surface of the sea. Horse mackerel bites during the day, but, as with any fishing, the best bite is in the morning and evening. The time of departure for fishing in Anapa is specially selected for the best bite. The most important thing is that horse mackerel is not afraid of the noise of a yacht or boat engine.

Another black sea fish that is easy to catch and will delight you on sea fishing is sea bass

. It bites in Anapa from April to December (during your holiday at sea). The size of the fish is 8-20 centimeters and weight is 100 grams. The favorite food (bait) of sea bass is the Black Sea shrimp (barbel). Having strung the bait, lower the weight to the bottom and lift it slightly; the perch responds well to a moving bait. You will feel the bite by the vibration of the fishing rod, but do not rush to pull it out. Wait until a few fish bite and pull them out. As practice shows, you can catch several fish at once.

Bluefish can also be caught from a boat at sea

(predatory and energetic fish). Fish up to 30 centimeters. The lower jaw of the bluefish protrudes forward. Bluefish swim in schools. And if the ship has an echo sounder, then you can catch a lot of this fish.

herring is readily caught from a yacht or boat

(up to 20 centimeters in length). The main thing is to find a school of this fish and the catch is guaranteed. Everyone knows the taste and benefits of this fish, but not everyone can boast of having caught this fish. Therefore, if you find yourself in Anapa in November or December, we recommend going sea fishing. You will have something to remember later and something to tell your friends about.

Since the beginning of summer, mullet

(Sultana). She is one of the most delicious fish you can catch. Although, if you don’t catch it, we recommend buying it at the market and trying it or eating it in a restaurant. The red mullet bites when the water temperature in Anapa is 16 – 19 degrees. So, keep an eye on the water temperature in Anapa if you want to catch a lot of this fish.

One of the most delicious fish of the Black Sea is garfish

. The garfish bites in Anapa from July to December. But during regular fishing, this fish is rarely caught, as special gear is needed.

Laskir

(sea crucian) in Anapa bite only in July and August, when the weather is hottest. Sea crucian carp feed more actively at lunchtime (lunch at lunchtime). It lives in the coastal line among the rocks. As the water warms up, flocks of weasel go to depths of up to 25 meters. Fish up to 15 centimeters in size are caught. Sea crucian carp do not live where there is noise (where people swim). Therefore, in the summer, when there are many vacationers, sea fishing in the open sea is best. We recommend a large double-decker yacht, where people swim on one side and fish on the other.

Bait for weasel is shrimp or caught fish.

Scorpena

(sea ruff) – predator fish

Scorpionfish are better caught after a storm, when they are actively looking for food. The bait for it is simple - pieces of caught fish. The scorpion fish grabs the bait very greedily. We recommend raising and lowering the weight. The predator senses the vibration of the water and quickly reacts to a target that is moving. When removing the fish from the hook, you need to be careful (the captain of the ship will instruct you, and most often he will remove the fish from the hook himself). Caution is required as the fish have fins that can cause pain.

There is another poisonous fish of the Black Sea in Anapa - the sea dragon

.You can eat it, but it's better to throw it away. Its spines, which can cause harm, are black in the shape of a crown and located on the dorsal fin. If you inject yourself, wash the wound with sea water. But usually this does not happen, because... The captain will instruct you and remove the fish from the hook correctly.

Sea fishing

Sea fishing in Vityazevo is a very interesting and catchy activity. You can fish in the sea near the village both from the shore and from a boat.

Fishing on the open sea

The most exciting and rewarding thing for most tourists in this Black Sea village is fishing in the open sea. For such fishing, vacationers hire spacious and high-speed boats, small longboats with powerful engines, modern navigation and fish-finding equipment.

They fish from a boat several kilometers from the shore at depths from 20-30 to 50 m. Usually the duration of fishing does not exceed 3 hours. The most active bite is usually in the morning and late afternoon.

Important! For local travel agencies organizing fishing trips on the high seas, customer safety comes first. So, very often, when there is a gusty wind and a large wave, or when a radio warning is received about the approach of a strong storm, the captain of a rented vessel, in order not to endanger fishermen, can interrupt fishing and, having weighed anchor, direct the vessel to the shore.

They fish in the sea with “tyrant” - a simple and very catchy tackle consisting of the following parts:

  • A rigid and powerful spinning rod with a length of 1.8 to 2.1-2.4 m with a test weight of up to 200 g.
  • The reel is a powerful spinning reel with a size of 4000-5000 or a multiplier.
  • 50-meter supply of monofilament fishing line with a thickness of 0.4-0.5 mm;
  • Equipment (rate) - a 4-5 meter piece of monofilament or fluorocarbon fishing line with a cross-section of 0.22-0.27 mm with a drop-shaped sinker weighing 150-200 g and 5-7 flies (hooks with a long fore-end on which multi-colored feathers and fibers are attached lurex) attached to loops 2-2.5 cm long. The distance between the flies is on average 25-30 cm.

The technique of fishing with a “tyrant”, like the tackle itself, is very primitive:

  1. The equipment tied to the main line is lowered to the bottom.
  2. After making several turns of the reel handle, the equipment is raised a short distance above the bottom.
  3. Perform smooth lifts of the fishing rod.
  4. When a bite is clearly visible from the tip of the rod, no hooking is performed - the attacking flies of horse mackerel and small Black Sea herring, as a rule, are hooked themselves.
  5. The rig with hooked fish is reeled in by rotating the reel handle.
  6. The fish is removed by weight, without lowering the stake into the boat - equipped with a large number of hooks, it can become very tangled.

Multi-colored flies of the “tyrant” tackle

With a good bite, such fishing allows you to catch up to 5-7 or more horse mackerel and small Black Sea herring in one lift of the tackle. Greenfish, red mullet, and bluefish often also bite on the “tyrant”.

Important! Experts and experienced local fishermen do not recommend bringing boats used on freshwater bodies. Firstly, these watercraft are small in size and will not be able to withstand very strong waves and side winds. This can lead to the fact that in a strong wave or a gust of wind such a watercraft can capsize, and the fisherman sitting in it can end up in the water. Secondly, salt water can lead to very severe damage to the polymer and metal parts of the boat hull that are not designed for use in such conditions.

Origin and legends of the main river in Anapa

The historical birth of the river dates back to the time of the formation of the entire bay: the river plains were once separate estuaries of the Black Sea, like the current Chembur Lake. The basin was formed long before our era and was modified due to human economic activity over the centuries.

Floods sometimes occur at the end of winter, during rains - the climate in Anapa is Mediterranean. Water heating is good. For this reason, all kinds of ichthyofauna are found in the riverbed. And along the banks grow dozens of species of flora - reeds, sedges, varieties of deciduous trees and shrubs. There are even boxwood, cyclamen, some varieties of almonds, walnuts and Tatar katran. In summer, the local water becomes salty - the sea “flows” into the channel, and with it the delicious mullet.

The Anapka River got its name from the Anapa fortress, which Russian soldiers finally took from the Turks/Ottomans in 1828. Its old name is Bugur.

Legends say that this waterway was once an internal continuation of Anapa Bay; they say that there was a large Turkish port here back in the 17th century. Part of it were warehouses - even chests with gold and silver were stored here, the thought of them still haunts treasure hunters. Another story tells that the seaport was already under the Sinds - the Iranian-speaking population of this landscape, who disappeared with the arrival of the Greeks. The trading pier itself was allegedly located on the current island park.

Of course, it is not exactly an island - it is connected to the territory in front of Nikulin’s circus by an isthmus. The floodplains lying to the east of this green piece of land (beyond R-252) were once various estuaries infested with malarial mosquitoes, dangerous to humans. The Russians allegedly got rid of them with the help of a Central Asian fish brought here - gambusia. An incredible myth about this location concerns the Greeks of Gorgippia. Here they allegedly hid from enemies who came by water, abandoning their homes for a while.
