One of the largest skating rinks in the Northern capital. It covers an area of more than 2000 m2 and is located directly in front of the stage. On the island of New Holland the skating rink will be open until March 15, 2020!

In recent years, the skating rink at VDNKh - a park that was overtaken by reconstruction later than other sites - was only trying to compete in popularity with Gorky Park. For the second year in a row, the site administration immediately calls its skating rink the main one in the country. Where it really shines is in its scale: ice was poured over an area of 20 thousand square meters, making it the largest artificial ice skating rink in all of Europe. The Medvedkovsky Ice Palace has been operating since 1999. The site is located on Zapovednaya Street, building 3. The establishment is closed in the summer.

The legendary show, in which a guest star is paired with a titled professional figure skater, first appeared on Channel One back in 2006. TV viewers liked the project so much that it forced literally everyone to run to the skating rinks and buy skates in stores. Many parents brought their children to figure skating thanks to the high popularity of the Ice Age, and now they, already students of various ice schools, proudly defend the honor of our country at the European, World and other international tournaments. The current, anniversary, tenth season of the ice show on Channel One has become one of the most successful. Spectators again joined the TV screens. How many emotions, how many messages came to Channel One, how many disputes regarding the judging arose during the viewing process - all this speaks of very close attention to the project. This was largely ensured by the appearance of both new interesting participants in the project and new skaters who were not present in previous seasons: Tatyana Volosozhar, Elena Ilyinykh, Ekaterina Bobrova, Dmitry Solovyov and Alexander Enbert added a new inimitable flair to the project. By March 8, for all fans of the project and fans of figure skating, Ilya Averbukh, together with Channel One, decided to organize a gala show with participants and finalists of the Ice Age, as well as presenters, coaches and famous skaters.
