Spinning fishing on the Mozhaisk Reservoir
considered one of the best in the Moscow region.
In the Moscow region, the Mozhaisk reservoir is considered the youngest of the large reservoirs. It was commissioned in 1960 and today its age is 55 years. The water mirror has such a location that it connects with two more reservoirs, the Ruza and Ozerinsky reservoirs. The reservoir has a heavily indented coastline with uneven changes from shallows to depths. At the same time, the average depth of the reservoir is about 8 meters, and its width is slightly more than 2 km. On Mozheika there are many dumps and even rifts. In summer, a lot of different vegetation appears along the banks. Fishing on the Mozhaisk Reservoir
is possible throughout the year, with the exception of the period when a spawning ban is introduced.
The Mozhaisk Reservoir is a reservoir rich in fish stocks.
Many peaceful and predatory fish live here. Most often, fishermen catch such representatives of ichthyofauna as roach. Pike, bream, burbot, perch and ruff. Of course, these are not all the species that live in this reservoir. But other fish are caught much less often. However, the majority of catches consist of bream and roach. Since these are the dominant species of peaceful fish. As for pike, there is also a lot of this predator here, but mostly small specimens are found. Trophies don't happen often here. But this is compensated by the number of predators caught, and pike catches here almost always please anglers.
Therefore, spinning pike fishing on the Mozhaisk Reservoir
enjoys considerable popularity. Perch is also caught well with spinning baits. These are mostly medium-sized individuals, but they bite often and their catches also delight fishermen.
Of course, nothing compares here to fishing with a float tackle, and this is understandable. A huge amount of white fish makes it possible to catch large catches, and a good bite is almost always guaranteed here.
As in the case of perch and pike, individuals of trophy size are not often caught on a float, but the amount of catch is always pleasing and fishing on a float tackle on the Mozhaisk Reservoir

The Mozhaisk Reservoir is a weak-flowing reservoir and there is a slight current there. The bottom of the Mozhaisk reservoir is covered with flooded loess. There are a huge number of fallen trees, stumps and large branches, because the reservoir is very young and the wood is not yet susceptible to damage. Namely, these are the places that both predatory and peaceful fish love. The food supply in such places is very good, which means there is a good concentration of fish there.
