Making a twister yourself
The article will discuss how to make twisters yourself from silicone, as well as special rubber with a low melting point. Thanks to the described method of making twisters, they can be given any shape and size.
In addition to twisters, you can also make various other baits. These could be worms, vibrotails, and so on. This will be very useful to know for those fishermen who like to experiment using baits of different shapes and sizes.
Materials and tools: - wooden blank for making the bait body; - drill; - files; - pencil, cardboard; - hacksaw; - a piece of foam plastic; - plaster; - plasticine; — silicone (this could be spoiled silicone baits);
Step one. Creating the body of the bait
To create the body of the bait, the author used a piece of wood. To do this, the workpiece is clamped into a drill, and then the body is turned with a file. In order for the body of the bait to have a relief appearance, you need to create grooves on it. To do this you need to use a needle file. Finally, the workpiece is thoroughly sanded using fine sandpaper.
Step three. Taking off the uniform
To remove the mold, a piece of foam plastic and cardboard formwork are used. You need to hollow out a hole of a suitable size in the foam and place the workpiece in it. In this case, the workpiece should be immersed to half. Next, plasticine comes into play. Using it, you need to thoroughly seal all the cracks in the formwork, and you also need to coat the workpiece.
After this, the formwork is filled with gypsum or alabaster. After hardening, one half of the mold comes out.
To create the second half, you do not need to remove the workpiece from the plaster. You need to make a couple of holes in it for centering, and then coat it well with liquid soap. Subsequently, the formwork is made and everything is filled with gypsum. That's all, after the plaster hardens, the form will be ready. At the final stage, the mold is coated with epoxy and sent to the oven. The ratio of hardener to resin should be 1X7. You need to apply the epoxy until it stops being absorbed. As a result, the shape will become not only smooth, but also stronger.
Step four. Casting a twister
The silicone needs to be heated until it becomes like jelly. For these purposes, it is best to use a microwave. You need to be very careful here, because when heated, the silicone evaporates and releases a very caustic gas.
Now all that remains is to pour liquid silicone into the mold and let it cool for 5-7 minutes. After this, the twister can be taken out. If there are any defects on it, this can be corrected using scissors.
The author assures that silicone baits made in this way are not much inferior to store-bought options.

Story
Fans of the game "Twister" should thank two American inventors for its creation - Twister Charles F. Foley and Neil W. Rabens.
It’s hard to imagine, but in the first years of its existence the game was not particularly popular. And all because of the wrong marketing move. Instead of promoting the product to young people (who this game could not be better suited for), the management for some reason decided that their potential customers should be the average American mothers aged about 35 years.
Game description
The Twister game consists of a large playing field (mat), which is laid out on the floor, and a roulette.
The size of the mat is 150 x 180 centimeters. It is an oilcloth or sheet on which large circles of green, red, blue and yellow are drawn in four rows.
Roulette is similar to a clock, only the hands do not move themselves, but are rotated by the players. The “dial” is divided into four segments, which are also divided by color.

How to make a playing field?
Regardless of what the DIY Twister game is made from (fabric, maple or paper), the standard playing field should have a size of 150 x 180 cm.
After the base is ready, start creating six circles. They can be:
In a standard game, there is a certain order for filling the playing field with circles:
You can scatter the circles in a chaotic manner at your discretion. It will be even more interesting this way. The main thing is to maintain the proportion - 6 circles of 4 colors.
How to make a roulette?
We offer you templates for two versions of roulette to create the game “Twister” with your own hands.
The first is classic, in the shape of a square or circle. The easiest way to make such a roulette is as follows:
1. Take thick cardboard or a thin board. Can be painted any color you wish.
2. Make sectors: draw with paints, markers, pencils, or cut out and glue individual parts from paper.
3. Make a rotating pointer in the center of the roulette:
The segments should be as follows:
An example is shown in the picture.
Second version of roulette
The game “Twister” could not resist innovations either. Making original fun with your own hands is not that difficult. For example, you can use dice as an alternative to roulette.
You will need to make two dice - one indicating the color, the other indicating the body part. Their peculiarity is that the number of sides will be four, and not six, like dice.
Therefore, we suggest you make cubes that resemble a brick in shape (as indicated in the picture).
There are two options for creating dice.
The game is ready. To prevent your Twister from getting damaged or lost, allocate a special box for it.

Authorization on the site
Twister is played on a large plastic mat, which is spread on the floor or ground. Mat size 150x180. This checkmate is similar to a board game. It has four rows of six large colored circles: red, yellow, blue, and green. The roulette wheel is attached to a square board and serves as the dice in the game. The roulette wheel is divided into four marked sections: right foot, left foot, right hand, and left hand. Each of these sections is divided into four colors (red, yellow, blue, and green). After the spin, a combination is called (eg: right hand on yellow) and players must move their corresponding hand or foot to the point of the appropriate color. In a two-player game, both people cannot place their hand or foot in the same circle at the same time. The rules vary for more people. Due to the lack of colored circles, players will often be required to put themselves in awkward or unstable positions, which will ultimately result in someone falling. A person is eliminated if they fall or when their elbow or knee touches the mat. There is no limit on the number of players playing at the same time, but more than four are barely included.
Max Twister
The board game Max Twister was created for large companies. Its mechanics are different from the version we are used to. Here, Big Twister players must compete in speed and reaction. The skills of gymnasts are unlikely to be applicable to such a set.
There are three common ways to play Twister Max:
- Salochki - Players, competing in speed, run to the required mat and rush headlong back.
- The fastest - The judge announces the color and everyone runs to the correct circles. The main rule is that there is always one less rug than you need.
- Catch Me – Finding the right mat is the hardest thing in this way of playing, because it is the host who decides how you will move. Players may even have to crawl.

Making a game
— From whatman paper you will need to use tape to glue a base for the twister game measuring approximately 1x1.5 m.
— The finished base needs to be drawn into cells: for 4 circles horizontally you need to draw 5 cells, for 6 circles vertically you need to draw 7 cells. This way we will get the centers of our circles.
— Next, you need to cut out the circles themselves from self-adhesive colored film (or colored paper). The diameter of the circles should be approximately 20 cm, but in order to save material, you can make 15-18 cm each. We glue the cut out circles to the base, aligning the hole from the compass on the circle with the corner of the cage. If we use paint for the circles, then first we need to draw them with a compass on the base. After painting, you need to stick polyethylene on the game, otherwise the mugs will get dirty.

4) Now you need to make a dial by which the presenter will determine the actions of the players. The cardboard needs to be divided into 4 parts and each part also into 4. From the scraps you need to cut and paste, alternating, colored triangles onto the cardboard (or paint them with paints). On 4 pieces of cardboard you need to write: right hand, right leg, left hand, left leg.
Or if you are too lazy to draw, you can type a twister in Microsoft Word, for this we make 4 files with a paper size of 15 x 15 cm. Insert circles with a diameter of 5 cm.

How to play
Figuring out how to play Twister is not at all difficult. All the rules fit on one page and are understandable even to the youngest. It only takes a couple of minutes to read and you can start playing.
In the rules of the game Twister in Russian, unlike most board games, there is a leader. His task is to announce the dropped combinations to the players, who must quickly complete them.

Basic Rules
To start the game, just lay out the field and assemble the roulette. To do this, simply secure her card between the arrow and the base. Remember the prohibitions so as not to fall out of the battle in flexibility:
- You can place a single limb on one circle. A player is eliminated if he places, for example, an arm and a leg on the same cell.
- The circle is assigned to the participant who first occupied it.
- If all the cells of the drawn color are occupied, the judge spins the roulette again.
- All controversial situations must be resolved by the presenter.
- If a player gets a color on which his hand/foot is already standing, he must move it to another solid-color cell.
- You cannot move outside of your turn, even if an enemy is attacking you.
- You cannot lean on the circle with anything other than your arms and legs. If you touch the field with your elbow, hip or knee, you are out.

Twister can also be played in teams
