Grayling fish dishes

Since ancient times, fish treats have been considered the most delicious in Russian cuisine; foreign guests have repeatedly noted them in their notes. In ancient cookbooks, cooks advised that in order to keep the catch alive for several days, pour a glass of vodka into your mouth, cover it with damp moss and put it in the cellar. Today, there are other recipes for preparing grayling fish, taking into account the frozen state.

The most famous grayling dishes:

  • baked over a fire or in the oven;
  • soup or fish soup;
  • fish solyanka;
  • cutlets;
  • guess;
  • rolls;
  • Breaded.

Grayling ear

This catch makes a delicious fish soup; it is better to cook it over a fire, but it will also be very tasty on the stove. The frozen carcass dish lacks flavor, but the broth is still concentrated and aromatic. It’s worth figuring out how to prepare soup from grayling fish; for a good broth, add the flesh and heads, which cook very quickly.

  • grayling – 1.5 kg;
  • carrots – 2 pcs.;
  • onions – 2 pcs.;
  • potatoes – 3 pcs.;
  • rice – 2 tbsp. spoons;
  • water – 3 l;
  • black pepper – 0.5 teaspoon;
  • bay leaf – 3 pcs.;
  • greens – 1 bunch;
  • salt – 1 teaspoon.
  1. Process and chop the carcasses.
  2. Peel the vegetables, cut them, wash the rice.
  3. Add the heads, boil, skim off the foam.
  4. Add vegetables and rice.
  5. Cook for 15 minutes.
  6. Add fish, bay leaf, spices.
  7. Boil for a couple of minutes, leave for 10 minutes.
