Fishing in the Klimovsky district

Lubyanka

Until recently, I associated the name “Lubyanka” exclusively with a well-known building in the center of Moscow.
But it turned out that three of our rivers were named exactly the same. In Tatarstan it is the left tributary of the Vyatka, in the Ryazan region it is a tributary of the Zhraki River. Well, in fact, a new point on the map is the Lubyanka River in the Moscow region, a tributary of the Mocha River, which itself flows into Pakhra. The river is small, about ten kilometers, but two fairly large ponds were built on it. I wanted to explore the one that is closer to the ancient village of Shchapovo. It is larger and closer to a public transport stop. I’m in a car, but suddenly someone decides to come to the reservoir after my reconnaissance. But I couldn’t drive up to the reservoir. Residents of the village, located on the shore of the pond, installed barriers at all exits. Probably so that no one drives past their houses. I decided to take a walk and explore the situation.

There is no one on the pond, only hockey goals. And for some reason I didn’t like the pond. A high-voltage mast on the shore, wires stretch over the water. The village is close to the water - and in general it’s somehow uncomfortable.

I always try to have a backup plan. I had this option this time too, and I was about to take advantage of it, but I decided to drive a little further and look at the smaller pond in the village of Pessier.

This is a completely different matter! A cozy body of water, a forest close to one bank, no buildings... and not a single fisherman. Do we really have to work on a backup option? I'm standing thinking on the shore. Nearby, a woman was walking a husky.

“Madam,” I turned to her, “are there any fish in this reservoir?”

- Of course, there is, though my husband only brings change, but he is more of a hunter. But in the summer there are a lot of people, and they even catch carp. There was a paid reservoir here, they used to put fish out of barrels, but then for some reason they abandoned it. And in winter they catch, yesterday there were two sitting over there catching when I was walking the dog in the morning.

To be honest, I didn’t expect to get so much information from her. At the place indicated by the lady, I actually found several fresh holes. True, they froze quite well - the thermometer showed minus seven in the morning - but I punched the holes with my foot. Difficult holes - apparently, fed. The ice turned out to be not very thick, but very damp, and drilling it with straight knives was not very good. For the first half hour, I calmly walked around the old holes and tried to tempt the fish into a reelless bait. Zero. For the second half hour I tried to seduce the fish into the bloodworm, experimenting with wiring. Zero.

During that hour, three cars stopped on the road near the pond, not far from where I was sitting. People coming out of them were sure to ask how my bite was going. When they heard my answer, they mysteriously shook their heads and said approximately the same thing. It’s like there’s a fish here, it’s just that there’s no spring, so it’s not biting. At the moment of the next such communication, when I was drinking tea, the fish pecked even without spring. On a jig with a bloodworm lying motionless on the bottom. As usual, I didn’t have time to hook, but I decided to fish with two fishing rods. One to play, the other to watch.

This method of fishing brought three more unrealized bites on a stationary bait. I had to give up playing with the second fishing rod, which immediately brought results in the form of a roach. Behind her is another, and another. In general, it became not boring. When I got bored, I went looking for perch. If I caught roach at two meters with kopecks, then near the coastal reeds the depth was less than a meter. I caught one small perch. It was more interesting with roach. And in the summer it will probably be even more interesting. Go and check it out for yourself.

The village of Pessier and the Lubyanka River: a beautiful corner in New Moscow

Most citizens of the former USSR clearly associate Lubyanka with the famous building on the square of the same name in Moscow. However, in the Moscow region (and now on the territory of New Moscow) there is a nice river with the same name. I visited there for the first time in early spring of this year. And yesterday, in the company of Andrey aka Polite Panda, she was there again.

In the vicinity of Shchapovo

As always, none of us expected that we would end up there. It all started with the famous “Let’s go to...” And then we just had to figure out where exactly. Since there was little time, the idea was born to go to Lubyanka. I really liked the name
