Reeds and reeds mainly grow on the western and southern sides. The western coast is the most overgrown. The bank of the Yablonovsky stream is swampy. The lake is low-flowing; several small streams flow into it. It is connected to Lake Gusinoye by a channel, and the Pionerka River (Pika, Pikoyoki) is a drainage and flows into Lake Komsomolskoye. The reservoir is located 6 km from Lake Ladoga. The proximity suggests that their ecosystems are partially interconnected. The water has a yellowish-greenish color. Ice on the lake appears in December and disappears in May. Ichthyology

Lake Otradnoe, village. Kutuzovskoe

The fishing spot is located on Lake Otradnoye near the village of Kutuzovskoye. This is a fairly popular vacation spot, and fishermen will also have plenty to do here. You can get to the fishing spot by personal vehicle, and there is also a shuttle bus. In general, Lake Otradnoye is very famous among residents of St. Petersburg and Priozersk, since it is one of the largest lakes of the Karelian Isthmus, very picturesque and rich in fish resources.

Lake Otradnoe is a fairly large body of water, the maximum length of which is 13.5 km, and the width reaches 8.5 km. The greatest depths are located on the side of the village of Krasnopolye and reach 28 meters. In the Kutuzovsky area, immediately behind Cape Boot, there is a local hole, the depth of which is 29 meters. On average, in this section of Lake Otradnoe the depth is 3-10 meters. The bottom topography in this section of the lake is uneven. The coastal shallows change quite sharply into a deep section. Such a sharp drop attracts various peaceful and predatory fish, especially in winter.

The structure of the bottom is relatively uniform, sandy and silty, with rocky areas in some places. The shore is mostly sloping with convenient approaches to the water and places for launching boats.

In the area of the village of Kutuzovskoye, a channel from Lake Gusinoe flows into Lake Otradnoe, as well as several nameless forest streams that feed the lake with fresh water. This reservoir is also fed by streams gushing at the bottom of deep places, as well as by groundwater and melted spring water.

Lake Otradnoe is a fairly fishy reservoir in which you can catch fish at any time of the year. In winter, you can meet fishermen of all types of fishing here. Pike is most often caught using live bait with girders, which also catch large perch, burbot and pike perch. Perch is caught using a reelless bait or vertical spoons. There are very large specimens in the lake. Roach prefers a jig with a bloodworm, and bream is caught using ordinary winter float rods using a bunch of bloodworms or a worm.

Fishing Features

The southern and western parts of the lake are especially interesting for fishing. Fishing from watercraft is especially recommended. This applies to both catching predators using spinning rods, circles and other gear, and “peaceful fish”. You can fish in all seasons. In winter, perch is excellently caught from the ice; on warm days, bream and silver bream are excellent. The reservoir is actively used for recreational purposes. Therefore, for a more comfortable stay, we recommend contacting travel organizations. The coastal zone has a well-developed tourism infrastructure, which allows you to find recreation options both for those who like fishing and for a relaxing time in the lap of nature, including “family vacations.” Despite active human use, there are many mushrooms and berries in coastal forests. Who said that there are no fish in the ponds near Moscow? On the lakes located within the Otrada country complex in the Moscow region, the bite is such that you will “forget about everything in the world.” And not because the scuba diver will hook frozen cod on your hook. We achieve our goals using other methods.

The cleanest lakes in the protected area

The total area of the Otrada complex is about 200 hectares. On the territory there are:

  • Equestrian Club;
  • Two restaurants;
  • Rope park;
  • Zoo;
  • , including several artificial lakes stocked, for the most part, with carp.

A huge advantage of our reservoirs is their isolation: no waste water gets here; rivers and streams do not bring pollution. The water in the lakes is pure and natural. Considering that they are located near Moscow, for preventive purposes we annually take additional measures to purify the water from possible biological and chemical contaminants that could theoretically be brought in by precipitation.

Fishing – fishing is different!

“Why go fishing to a recreation center? After all, it’s quite possible to get to the nearest lake and stand with a fishing rod right there.” This is what novice fishermen may think.

But it turns out that everything is not so simple. For good fishing, having a lake and a fishing rod is not enough.

It is also necessary that the place be suitable, and usually only knowledgeable people can show such places, and a boat, as a rule, would not hurt. Therefore, in order to not just stand around all day with a fishing rod in your hands, but also to actually catch something worthwhile, it is better to think about what fishing recreation centers offer their clients.

O. Otradnoye - we catch pike and zander on the path

Hi all!

For two days in a row, a fisherman I knew rode to Otradnoe, in the Leningrad region, and showed good results in fishing. Every evening he called me and boasted that the pike perch had gone crazy, he was ready to jump into the boat himself, he even sent me a photo, such a radish.

But I had something to do, I couldn’t go to the lake, but I really wanted to. I was waiting for the weekend to try my luck.

The weekend has finally arrived, let's go fishing, the pike perch won't wait.

And indeed, as I croaked, the pike perch wasn’t really waiting for me there.

We unpacked the gear, two spinning rods on each side, and set off. This was not the first time my partner had fished, so he knew where the fish were biting. Let's go in a circle. Since there was silence all around, I was worried, where was the promised bite “like on the Black Rocks”?! The partner also sits bored and sighs in bewilderment. There is no bite as before, usually in one circle there are 2-4 bites and different zander were caught, more small things, but we also caught some good ones. Today there is silence. As always, the rule worked - it bites yesterday and tomorrow!?

On the second lap, the underwater inhabitants of the lake were rehabilitated. A small zander was caught and sent home. The main thing is that you have fished, which means there is fish and there is still more to come.

Before we had time to finish the circle, a cloud came up, a big one, like a thunderstorm, and a thunderstorm began, we had to urgently reel in our fishing rods and fly to the car. True, we didn’t have time, we got wet to the skin.

A thunderstorm is not a long-term phenomenon, after waiting out the bad weather and changing into dry clothes, fortunately there were some, we went out onto the water. We can’t leave without fish.

I loosened the gear, launched catchy wobblers into the depths of the sea and waited for my happiness
