Lianozovsky park of culture and recreation with fountains in Moscow
Park of Culture and Recreation "Lianozovo" is a union of 6 park areas in the North-East Administrative District and the Northern Administrative District. All 6 parks are very popular among Muscovites and guests of Moscow. Entertainment events, city festivals, and sports competitions are held in Lianozovsky Park and in its subordinate territories.
Story
It’s hard to imagine that more than 400 years ago here, on the banks of a small river with the interesting name Samotyshka, back in the 16th century. there was a settlement that belonged to the housekeeper of the Bread Yard, Myakishev Neupokoy Dmitrievich.
The Time of Troubles brought its own adjustments to the measured life of the village - the raids of the guardsmen simply destroyed it. It took decades to rebuild everything again.
The Akinfov brothers, who were “service people of Moscow,” almost 100 years from the beginning of the 17th century. owned the village and did a lot for its prosperity - they laid out a garden, built a manor house, a church, and dug a pond. It had just begun to prosper when it was devastated by the French in 1812. And the path of long-term restoration began again. It found its new life at the end of the 19th century, when Georgy Martynovich Lianozov, who had enormous influence in the financial circles of Moscow, became its owner. This is how the holiday village of Lianozovo appeared. For the convenience of summer residents, the Lianozovo railway station was even built. And in the twentieth century. in the 70s it became a district of the capital. Lianozovsky Park of Culture and Recreation received its status as a state cultural institution in 1951.
It’s amazing that a century ago ladies in crinolines walked with their gentlemen along the paths of a holiday village, and now any resident of the capital has the opportunity to enjoy the shady alleys of a relict oak grove.

Oak Grove
The park's green areas cover 16 hectares. True connoisseurs of nature will appreciate the rich dendrological composition of Lianozovsky Park, numbering over 70 species of different tree species. Particularly impressive is a real oak grove with many two-hundred-year-old pedunculated oaks 25 m high. They say that 510 of them grow on just 3.5 hectares. In the autumn, when the wind blows, a “waterfall” of long acorns flies off them, for which, in fact, the oaks are named petiolate. There are also blue spruce, a very interesting weeping form of rowan, willow, acacia, elm, linden, birch - in general, a real mixed forest. However, it is the petiolate oak grove that the park owes its recognition as a natural monument. By the way, it is protected by the state.
Ponds in Lianozovsky Park
The favorable ecological atmosphere of the park is also facilitated by 6 ponds, once dug by captured French soldiers. There are also 2 natural ones with a total area of 1 hectare. Gracefully swimming white swans delight the eye, giving the park a fabulous and cozy feel. A romantic atmosphere is created by white openwork bridges and footbridges, as well as a beautiful rotunda right next to the pond. Fishermen sit on the shore, not paying any attention to the people walking.

In autumn, when the wind blows, a “waterfall” of long acorns simply falls from them, for which , in fact, oaks are called pedunculate.

The purposeful development of Lianozovsky Park began after acquiring the status of a park of culture and recreation: the first mechanical attractions and festive events began to take place.
In 2008, the Alley of Fairy Tales was opened in the park, surrounded by sculptural images of heroes of Russian folklore. The characters from fairy tales fit surprisingly naturally into the landscape, becoming an integral part of it. Here are sister Alyonushka and brother Ivanushka, and Russian heroes, and Baba Yaga, and many other fairy-tale heroes.
In the early 2010s, the park was reconstructed and landscaped. A shooting gallery, a ropes course and a skate park, sports and children's playgrounds, a stage and dance floor, a gazebo for board games and a boat station appeared here.
A pedestrian street, Lianozovsky Arbat, was built in the park, picnic areas were organized, and new fountains were installed. In the center of one of the ponds there is a light-dynamic “singing” fountain. And another has a whole cascade-waterfall created from natural stones.
A very interesting design design at the fountain called “Space”, made like a flying saucer with decorative lighting.
In winter, Lianozovsky Park has a ski base with several slopes, and slides and skating rinks are open. The Lianozovsky Forest Park adjoins the park from the west.
For the little ones there are several small playgrounds and one large one with a fairytale castle. You can ride around the territory on rented velomobiles, roller skates, as well as on trains and horses.
At the end of the 1980s, a local entrepreneur, using funds from the Komsomol organization, organized tennis courts in the park and later opened the first private tennis club in Moscow; in 1994, an equestrian club also began operating in the park.
In the only surviving Lianozov dacha there is the Museum of Slavic Culture named after. Konstantin Vasiliev. Also in 2010, a memorial obelisk was opened in the park, dedicated to the Lianozovites - participants in the Great Patriotic War.
In the park, all kinds of concerts are often held on the summer stage, and discos are held on the dance floor. A barrier-free environment for people with disabilities was created in the park, cafes were opened, and a public Wi-Fi network was organized.
Alley of fairy-tale heroes
A real fairy tale happens on the approach to the playground, on the alley of fairy-tale heroes. The Lianozovsky Nature Reserve in its northern part resembles a real forest, where the upper swamp is located - a type of swamp that is disappearing in Moscow. It is located near the watershed of the Altufevskaya River and Olshanka, and arose on the site of one of the three Lianozovsky ponds.
The entire territory of the forest park is riddled with paths and paths, there are benches for relaxation and gazebos. In the evening hours the lanterns are lit. The area of the Lianozovsky landscape reserve is about 53 hectares. It is located on both sides of Cherepovetskaya Street.

The territory of the reserve can be divided into two parts. In the northern one, a fragment of an old-growth oak forest has been preserved. Trees are unique and are especially valuable objects. The oldest oak tree is over 150 years old. The southern part is indented with paths, giving the forest park the appearance of a mysterious labyrinth.

The pedestrian zone has become a logical continuation of the territory of the Lianozovsky Park of Culture and Recreation. The main entrance to the walking area is made in the form of a snow-white portal in Art Nouveau style. Small architectural forms of urban space also repeat the same style. There is an outdoor swing located not far from the entrance.
