This is the 15th time the National Unity Day holiday has been celebrated in Russia.

It was first celebrated in 2005 and since then it has been a day off and a time for festivals.

In 2021, the festival dedicated to National Unity Day in Moscow will be held from November 2 to 4. The festival starts at 10:00, the end of events is at 22:00. Master classes at all venues start at 13:00.

Entrance to any festival site is free and free!

Below we will tell you how National Unity Day will be held in Moscow. The celebration will not be as large-scale as, say, it was on City Day, but, nevertheless, ceremonial events dedicated to the unity of peoples will be held in the center and closer to the outskirts of Moscow.

Master classes and concert program on Revolution Square

One of the main features of this site as part of the National Unity Day festival will be numerous master classes dedicated to the cuisines of various regions of Russia. You will learn how to make original Russian dishes and delicacies, traditional for a variety of places from Moscow to the Far East.

Gastronomic part - chalets will be installed here, where you can try a wide variety of dishes from all over Russia.
Architectural studio - here you will master the creation of art objects in the form of buildings and structures. In the educational part, you will be told about the sights of large cities and urban planning plans for the future.

They haven’t forgotten about the youngest visitors to the festival - various swings and carousels will be installed on Revolution Square, where children can have fun. There will also be outdoor games. For example, children can play giant Jenga.

On the stage of the venue there will be performances by creative groups that will entertain you throughout the festival.

Immersive performance and ancient outdoor games on Manezhnaya Square

A theatrical performance will take place here , demonstrating the multinationality of our country. As has become fashionable now, the show will be immersive.

The plot of the unfolding play is that the Main Character and his sons go on a long journey across the expanses of Russia. With the help of make-up artists and decorations, you, together with the merchant family, will find yourself in different parts of all federal districts of Russia.

You will visit the Far East, visiting the Far Eastern District, move to Siberia, visit the Ural Mountains, then the Volga, Southern, North Caucasus districts and, of course, the Northwestern.

In each of the districts you can take part in games and entertainment popular for that area. Many of them have come to us since royal times and are still revered.

Creative and culinary workshops on Shkolnaya Street

We are moving towards the region and almost immediately outside the Garden Ring - Shkolnaya Street and numerous master classes prepared by the organizers for National Unity Day 2019:

Gastronomic master classes - we prepare “bobyshki”, Ossetian pies, “palysh”, Tatar manti, and cheesecake with vegetable filling, the recipe for which came from distant Udmurtia.
Craft master classes - in addition to teaching painting, these master classes will also have an educational function - you will learn the history of patterns and ornaments from different regions of Russia. And, of course, learn to draw many of them.

And, of course, one of the main events is lunch, which is on schedule, as usual. You can purchase a variety of dishes from Moscow restaurateurs, as well as a wide variety of souvenirs.

For lovers of active recreation, outdoor games will be held, including the traditional Russian game - Gorodki.

Secrets of delicious pastries and master classes on Gzhel painting on Glory Square

As part of the festival dedicated to National Unity Day 2021, master classes will open on Glory Square:

Cuisine of the peoples of all districts of Russia - they will teach how to cook various delicious dishes;
Pottery and art workshop - you will learn glass painting and Gzhel painting, as well as making various clay products.

There will be a children's playground with swings, carousels and a huge Jenga.

Everyone will be able to purchase souvenirs and handicrafts.

The program also includes tea, coffee and various delicious dishes from professional restaurateurs.

When will National Unity Day be celebrated in Moscow?

The Russian Federation is a country whose population consists of a large number of nationalities with their own traditions and customs.

On National Unity Day on November 4, 2021 in Moscow there is an opportunity to get acquainted with the different nationalities of the country's population and their cultures. On the territory of the capital there will be various tents with national delicacies of different nations. Various master classes are planned. Cuisine of the peoples of Russia - you will learn how to cook Lipetsk strudel, honey sbiten, berry pie and Altai kocho, and you will also learn how to cook other “delicacies”.
Craft workshop - here you will learn pottery, artistic painting, making wooden cards and the art of making enamel jewelry. There will also be a master class on making decorative pillows.

For those who want to have fun, there is the Russian folk game of “Gorodki”, as well as a ride on the carousel.

The musical arrangement of the event will be entrusted to various creative groups.

Attend the main events of the “Night of the Arts”

From November 4 to 5, Moscow will host the annual “Night of the Arts” event. So, on this night you will be able to listen to ambient music in the Planetarium, go on a tour of the Ostankino TV tower with a DJ set by electronic musician Nick Zavriev, or chat with composer Kirill Richter at the Zvezda cinema.

XXVIII International Exhibition and Competition of Contemporary Art “Russian Art Week | Russian Art Week" will be held at the Congress and Exhibition Center from November 3 to 8.
