Ufa (Ufimka) washes the Urals region, the Urals, two regions in Russia (Chelyabinsk, Sverdlovsk), and Bashkortostan. The mouth of the river was Agidel. The source is Lake Ufa, located in the mountain range called Uraltau.
The nature of the river throughout its entire channel is turbulent. In the valleys the current is weak, the coastline is not cut, but in the upper reaches there are constantly rapids and strong currents.
Fishing on public reservoirs
Fishing on public reservoirs of Ufa and nearby environs is often no less effective than fishing on “pay zones”. The key to success is good knowledge of specific places and the presence of correctly assembled gear. Black Lake Black Lake is located near Ufa and is located between the settlements of Nagaevo and Zinino. The average depth of this reservoir is 2.5 m. The bottom is quite flat, but in some areas there are local depressions that are easy to find with an echo sounder. Its main inhabitants are:
- pike;
- perch;
- carp.
On a note! Pike in Black grow to quite decent sizes. Here it is possible to catch predators weighing up to 10 kg, but the majority of the spinners’ catch is made up of specimens weighing 1–2 kg. In summer, the lake becomes heavily overgrown, which requires the use of specific baits: light, oscillating, non-snappy spinners;
- poppers;
- walkers;
- silicone frog imitations;
- "Croatian egg";
- unloaded vibrotails on an offset hook.
In October, when aquatic vegetation sinks to the bottom, classic “shakers” and “minnow” wobblers work well. In winter, local pike are completely indifferent to any artificial bait. Only a lively bait fish attached to the hook of a girder can provoke it to bite. There are a lot of perch in Cherny, but they are not large in size. Fish weighing 50–100 g are caught on float rods in the coastal zone. The bait, as a rule, is a fry or a worm.
Black Lake pike responds well to classic models of poppers in natural colors. Spinners armed with ultralight tackle can boast of catching predators weighing 200–300 g. Small rotating spoons and twisters on a light jig head are used as artificial baits. In winter, stripers can often be seduced with a jig with bloodworms or a small vertical spoon. Catching carp in this reservoir is quite rare, but the impressive weight of individual individuals forces feeders to regularly visit Chernoye. The most catchable bait is considered to be small boilies with a diameter of 1 cm, which have a plum aroma. Belaya River The Belaya River is one of the favorite vacation spots of Ufa anglers. Good fishing spots are located outside the village of Bulgakovo and in Krasny Yar. Caught here:
- bream;
- roach;
- perch;
- asp;
- pike;
- chub;
- dace;
- burbot.
On a note! In the Belaya river pits you can catch small catfish weighing up to 20 kg. The mustachioed predator is caught both on a spinning rod equipped with a jig bait, and on a classic donk. Representatives of the carp family consistently bite in this reservoir from May to October. They are caught here with float and feeder gear, using worms and maggots as bait. In winter, they move closer to the river bed, where they can be caught using jig tackle. Perch is found in coastal pools and is consistently caught using small twisters and spinners No. 0–2. Its average weight is about 200 g. In winter, it does not leave its usual habitats and continues to be caught using vertical spoons and balancers.
A medium-sized spinner with a rounded petal is excellent for catching perch on the Belaya River. Asp shows increased activity at the end of summer. He prefers to hunt in areas below rifts and is caught using the following baits:
- "turntables";
- jigs;
- loaded streamers;
- walkers.
Large predators are very careful and it can be difficult to catch them, but small representatives of this species often peck at the very feet of the spinning rod. It is extremely rare to find pike in Belaya on the main stream. The toothy predator sticks to areas with depths of 2–3 m and a complete absence of current. In open water, it greedily attacks wobblers and small vibrating tails. In winter it is caught on ratlins and girder tackle. On a note! With the arrival of October, burbot becomes active in the river. In the fall, it can be caught quite well using bottom tackle, the hook of which is baited with a bunch of worms or fish slices. In winter, he pecks at baitfish. The nozzle is a live or crushed brush. There is a lot of this predator in the Deme River, which is the left tributary of the Belaya.
Peculiarities
You can fish in Ufa all year round. The main thing is to know the peculiarities of fishing in any season.
From mid-autumn, when fish begin to move to the places where they spend the winter, it is best to catch them at depth, closer to the pits. At this time, you can use any bait. Fish preparing for winter are not picky and bite well on both plant bait and worms or fry.
Winters in Ufa are cold. During this period, reservoirs begin to be covered with a layer of ice up to 20 cm thick. At this time, catfish, crucian carp, pike, roach and perch are the best to bite in local rivers. Predatory fish can be easily caught with a worm, while peaceful fish can be caught with dough.
In spring and summer, locals prefer to fish on the Belaya River. There is a huge amount of fish there. You can use worms, beetle larvae and plant bait as bait.
The best time to fish in summer is either late evening or early morning.
Fishing on "paysites"
In Ufa and its surroundings there are several commercial reservoirs that are especially popular with local anglers. On paid ponds you can not only have good fishing, but also relax comfortably with friends or family. “Cool Place” On the territory of the recreation center “Cool Place”, located near the village of Shmitdovo, there are several paid ponds that are inhabited by:
- carp;
- silver carp;
- bream;
- grass carp;
- we shed;
- crucian carp;
- pike;
- perch.
The base provides rental of gear and related equipment. Here you can always buy fresh bait and groundbait.
On the “pay zones” of the “Cool Place” base you can often catch trophy crucian carp. If you come here for a few days, you can rent a cozy house. The cost of the tour is 400 rubles, and each kilogram of fish is paid separately. Zhukovo Lake Zhukovo is located near the village of the same name, 30 km from Ufa. The maximum depth of the reservoir does not exceed 3 m. The bottom is flat and covered with a thick layer of silt. Live here:
- crucian carp;
- roach;
- carp;
- pike;
- perch.
On a note! In the summer, there are too many vacationers on Lake Zhukovo, so you can only fish quietly in the early morning hours. The daily fishing fee is 250 rubles. Such a low price is due to the small concentration of fish in the reservoir and its modest size. Karatyaki The paid reservoir near the village of Karatyaki is constantly visited by Ufa fishermen. Its popularity is explained by reasonable prices and a fairly stable bite. You can catch it here:
- crucian carp;
- perch;
- tench;
- carp;
- pike.
The price for a ticket is only 300 rubles per day, and the catch rate is unlimited. Most fishermen who come here fish with a feeder and a float rod. In spring, local representatives of the carp family prefer to peck at the worm. Starting from June, plant baits work better. Spinning fish are more likely to catch fish on this pond in the fall. From September to November, medium-sized pike and perch weighing 200–400 g bite well here. The most catchy baits are jig baits made from “edible rubber.” “Platnik” in Ilmurzino also deserves the attention of anglers. It is unlikely that you will be able to catch a large trophy here, but you can always count on a stable bite of small fish. Fishing on this reservoir is carried out all year round. The price of the tour is 300 rubles. *** Knowing the most fishy reservoirs and being able to select the necessary gear, an angler can always count on exciting fishing in Ufa and its environs.

The most famous rivers
Fishermen of Bashkiria know that they can fish on many rivers. The White River is considered the largest, its length exceeds 1,400 kilometers. It has many tributaries, which are also famous for their abundance of fish. The following types of fish are known to live in the river:
- pike;
- zander;
- perch;
- grayling;
- burbot;
- bream;
- crucian carp;
- sturgeon;
- roach.
It is known that there are a lot of fish in the river, so there is no point in traveling far from your homeland. Standing with a fishing rod near the shore, you can catch a lot of fish in a few hours. If a fisherman is interested in predators, then he needs to look for areas of the bottom covered with snags.
The Ai River is less known among fishermen, but locals regularly head to its banks. They know that grayling can be caught there at the height of summer. Fishermen also return home with a catch of roach, bream and perch. Bream bite well only with bait. Most fishermen mix cut worms and steamed grain to attract more fish.
The Ik River is not very long or deep, but it attracts fishermen from areas that are located quite far from it. This is due to the abundance of fish and convenient approaches to the water. The following species live in the river:
- carp;
- crucian carp;
- burbot;
- roach;
- silver bream
The Lemaz River, located in the Dumansky and Mechetlinsky regions of Bashkortostan, is also considered an excellent place for fishing. During the spring flood, the banks are covered with a layer of water, so fishing lovers in Bashkortostan are forced to stay at home during this period. In summer and autumn, the catch can be successful when using bait. Peaceful fish are lured with steamed grain, worms and bread, but predators prefer small fish.
What kind of fish are found in the Ufimka River
Ufa
The Ufa River is one of the largest reservoirs in the Urals. It is of particular interest to fishing enthusiasts and attracts tourists for recreation. Residents affectionately call the river Ufimka; there is also another name for the river - Karaidel.
- Hydrology
- Economic use
- Shipping
- Fish and fishing
Toponymy
- Other names: Karaidel, Ufimka.
- Origin of the name: there is a version that the hydronym “Ufa” has very ancient roots. This name is probably derived from “ap” (“water”) and was given to the river by the steppe tribes of Iranian-speaking Aryans who lived in the Southern Urals in the distant past - from the Early Bronze Age to the Middle Ages. Another, Bashkir name “Karaidel” translated into Russian means “black river” and is most likely due to the fact that at the confluence of the Ufa and the Belaya, the difference in the color of both streams is clearly visible - the Ufa has darker water. According to another version, this version of the name is associated with the color orientation of the cardinal directions: at the confluence of Ufa and Belaya, the first flows from the north, the second from the south.
Hydrology
The river originates from a reservoir in Lake Ufa, it is located 5 km from the city of Karabash. The latter belongs to the Chelyabinsk region. Semi-mountain and mountain river flow in the valley, passing low rocks and mountains, including rapids. Below the confluence of Ai, the reservoir is called semi-mountain. Small vessels pass here, although along the way there are quite often shoals and a curved fairway. Below the settlement of Karaidel, the Pavlovsk water basin originates, stretching for 100 km. A reservoir with a fast current is formed after the Pavlovskaya hydroelectric power station, in this place the river is full-flowing.
On average, water consumption annually is 388 m3/s. Freezing occurs in the first ten days of December, and ice breaks up in early May. Recharge is mainly provided by snow melting. Every year the average precipitation ranges from 650 to 700 mm.
The vegetation around the reservoir is forest-steppe, the area is predominantly occupied by dark coniferous and broad-leaved forests. The percentage of forest occupancy in the basin is 59%, swampiness is 1%.
Fish and fishing
The amount of fish in the river is small, although not a single fisherman has ever left without a catch. The reservoir is home to famous fish: crucian carp, gudgeon, trout, pike, tench, ide, burbot and nelma. In the lower reaches you can catch catfish. Trout can be caught in the lower part of the reservoir. Many taimen live in the lower reaches. The fish prefers to live in the tributaries of Demid, Saran and Bardym. In Biserti the bite is not great, so many people do not prefer this place for fishing.
Near the water basin there are two reserves: Yuzhno-Uralsky and Visimsky, as well as two national parks: Taganay and Zyuratkul. This especially attracts tourists at any time of the year.

Paid fishing in Bashkiria
Paid fishing is increasingly occupying the minds of many, including experienced fishermen. This is due to the fact that in such reservoirs there is always a sufficient amount of various fish, because they are constantly stocked with fish. As a rule, this guarantees a catch, unlike fishing in a wild reservoir. In addition, there is no need to search for a promising place: here, no matter where you sit, a catch is guaranteed everywhere. But that's not all! Every paid reservoir has all the conditions for normal recreation. Moreover, both the fishermen themselves and their family members can take advantage of the comfort. Here you can go to the bathhouse or eat in a cozy cafe, and you can spend the night in comfortable rooms. The most important thing is that the prices here are affordable, and the places are beautiful, which is conducive to relaxation.
Among the many fishing bases, the most visited ones should be noted. These include:
- Base "Mirror carp".
- Base "Fishing Ufa".
- Base "Fisherman's Wharf".
- Base "Calm".
- Parus base.
- Base "Fisherman's Dream".
- Base "Good Deed".
Bashkiria has wonderful places to relax, such as:
- Atysh waterfall.
- Mount Iremel.
- Kandrykul.
- National Park "Bashkiria".
- "Kush-Tau".
Such vacation spots are distinguished by beautiful nature and clean air, which cannot but attract tourists.
Fishing on the Ufa River
Ufa is the largest tributary of the Belaya River. It originates in Lake Ufa, not far from the Uraltau ridge. Ufa flows its entire long journey – 918 km – through the mountains. In the upper reaches it is a rather stormy and rapids river, but by the middle reaches it becomes much calmer. Ufa retains its gentle disposition right up to its mouth: long reaches only occasionally give way to small riffles.
The largest spring
In recent years, Ufa has gradually gained popularity among lovers of water trips. Its calm current and comfortable banks make it ideal for beginners, especially since it flows through exceptionally beautiful places. Thanks to the hot summer and high humidity, the tops of the low hills on the steep banks of Ufa are covered with birch and pine forests, occasionally interspersed with spruce trees, and poplar, alder and bird cherry trees stand around like living walls. The winding river covered the approaches to the water with sand in places, creating cozy beaches, and in places, on the contrary, it washed away, exposing dark clay. One of the most interesting routes is located in the very lower reaches of Ufa, near the Pavlovskaya hydroelectric power station dam. Here you can see the unique Krasny Klyuch spring - the largest fresh spring in Russia and one of the largest in the world. Every second it spews 15 cubic meters of water from the bowels of the earth.
Rocks and caves
If the lower reaches of the Ufa are more suitable for a calm boat trip, then in the rapids of the upper reaches even experienced kayakers will find something to do. The section from Nyazepetrovsk to Krasnoufimsk is of greatest sporting interest. Here the river is already wide enough to be reached by boat, and the current has not yet slowed down. This route is also rich in attractions: the section of the river near the village of Arslanovo has the status of a natural monument. The uniqueness of this place is that Europe and Asia, taiga and deciduous forests meet here. The boundaries of the site are guarded by two rocks. Timofeev Stone is located on the left bank of Ufa and houses a whole spacious complex of nine caves and grottoes. Zaykin stone stands on the right bank. There is only one cave in it, but its ceiling is overgrown with stalactites. Another complex, Yaman-Tash, is notable for its unique Neolithic paintings.
Catch, fish, big and small
Ufa is not only picturesque, but also very rich in all kinds of fish. Chub, bream, pike, catfish, asp and many other species are found here. The Sargaya village area is especially popular among fishermen: on the one hand, there are good roads leading there, on the other hand, there are no large settlements nearby, which means there is less competition. In addition, chub and pike are especially good here. However, the river predator in Ufa can be found in almost every hole. The chub here is its main prey, and therefore the pike bites well on a spinner. In the vicinity of Sargai in Ufa you can even catch grayling, but only in autumn and spring, and even then only with great luck.
Small but remote
Rarely will a fisherman go to the river specifically to catch minnows. This fish is very small in size - it rarely grows more than 10-12 cm. That is why it is caught mainly as bait for other, more valuable fish. However, its meat is exceptionally tasty, and with a good bite it can make a good dinner. In Ufa, the chances of successful fishing for minnows are higher than anywhere else. Firstly, there is simply a lot of it here. The minnow has practically no scales (which is why it got its name), which is why it is very demanding on the oxygen content in the water. The clean, calm waters of Ufa are an ideal environment for him.
Secondly, this fish bites very well, and on almost anything. Both animal and plant baits can be used. Small fish gather in schools at the surface of the water - and just have time to pull them out! However, it is better to catch larger minnows for dinner, and this will require a little work. They really don’t like noise and get scared at the sight of a fisherman, hiding in underwater thickets or snags. You need to be very careful when catching large minnows. It is best to hide behind some bush and be as quiet as possible.
Fishing No. 4. Ufa-Trophy
The Ufa River, Wikipedia tells us, originates in the Chelyabinsk region, flows through the southwest of the Sverdlovsk region and the northeast of Bashkiria and flows into the Belaya River near the city of Ufa.
All I mean is that you could go fishing on the Ufa River by driving only about 100-150 kilometers from Yekaterinburg.
However, all fishermen have a firm and unshakable belief - the farther from home, the more fish. That's why we went to Bashkiria.
We figured that 400 kilometers from home we should already have enough fish.
Of course, we didn’t go off on a whim. One honored fisherman told us about these places (he also became one of the participants in the fishing expedition).
The place where we went is located not far from the Pavlovsk reservoir between the city of Karaidel and the village of Ozerki.
Once upon a time there was a large village in this place called Nizhny Suyan, but today the village is practically gone - rickety, dilapidated huts, overgrown vegetable gardens and a single resident, with whom we stayed. But more on that later.
In the meantime, we need to answer an important question - how to get there?
The answer is simple. If you don’t have a serious SUV, no way.
Although, theoretically, the road is clear - through Arti, Tastuba, Bartym, then along the dirt road to Ozerki, before reaching Ozerki, turn left 15 kilometers along a forest road.
Oh, these 15 kilometers along a forest road...
We were warned that the road through the forest was bad. But “bad” is a vague concept, right? For some, primer is bad. But this road is not just bad, it is very bad, very, very, very, very bad.
There are several unprintable words in the Russian language that can adequately characterize this road. For obvious reasons, I cannot use them here, but during the trip they sounded more than once or twice.
If we had imagined in advance all the delights of this route, then, most likely, we would not have even tried to travel, but at that moment there was nowhere to retreat - it was night, almost 400 kilometers behind us, so with a cry of “Hurray!” rushed to the embrasures...
Cheek brings success. With losses, but they broke through.
The fare is a bumper torn off from the X-Trail and some other plastic.
We grieved, had a snack, settled down, fell asleep...
We stayed, as I already mentioned, in the house of the only resident of this village. His name is Nikolai, and thanks again for his hospitality.
Nikolai is absolutely not interested in fishing and hunting, but is engaged in fattening cows. This is not a very labor-intensive task - I took it out to graze in the morning, and drove it in in the evening...
In addition to cows, Nikolai has two cats - Boss and Puska. Cats are wild, unsociable and terrible thieves.
There is also a dog, Boy. The boy is six months old, he is very happy to have guests, he needs to constantly play - run, jump, jump on his chest with dirty paws, chew his arm, leg, boot, watch, camera strap, the camera itself... It’s not boring with the Boy.
Before the Boy, Nikolai had another dog, but last winter it was devoured by wolves. That dog's name was Girl...
The morning greeted us with rain and magnificent views of Bashkir nature - hills, meadows, forest, river - all this, practically untouched by civilization.
More precisely, there was once a civilization in these places, but now only minor traces remain of it.
No communications, no gas, no electricity. Water is in the river or in a spring two kilometers away. Cook on a potbelly stove in the yard. In a word, normal village life of the century before last. Plus a full range of mosquitoes, midges, and ticks.
Despite all the precautions, I removed a couple of ticks from myself. I asked Nikolai how he solves this problem? It turned out - no way. The nearest laboratory is in Ufa, you won’t run into us. I pulled the tick out of myself, and then whatever happens. So far it's worked out...
But let's talk about fishing.
Let's start with the theory. In theory, that is, from the words of experienced fishermen, chub, roach, bream, asp, ide, perch, pike, pike perch, and catfish are caught in this place in Ufa. Chub - up to 2 kilograms, catfish - up to fifty. The usual daily catch is 30-40 kilograms of fish.
In theory - tempting.
In practice, everything turned out to be much more modest.
We didn’t specifically catch catfish, so I can’t say anything about its presence. I actually caught chub, roach, and perch. Everything - up to 300 grams.
One small pike weighing 150 grams was caught, but I’m not sure whether based on this fact it can be said that there is a pike in Ufa.
As for the daily catch, if you want and try, you can catch about five kilograms of fish in a day. This, of course, is not enough and, in general, uncharacteristic for these places. Knowledgeable people claim that it’s all about the rain. After rains, the water is cloudy. Fish don’t want to be caught in muddy water and won’t.
Knowledgeable people will always have convincing explanations for everything...
However, explanations don’t make it any easier. Our daily catches in the muddy water did not reach even three kilograms. And not because we didn’t try hard or didn’t want to catch, the reasons are different. Firstly, we immediately released small fish and, accordingly, did not take them into account, and, secondly, we spent a lot of time and effort on various experiments - we studied the river, looked for potentially catchy places, devoted almost the whole day to spinning (the result - small fish and a bunch of tattered spinners, jigs, wobblers).
Even in the early days, we were fashionable - we fished on a feeder. The feeder catches fish of the same size and with the same frequency as the rod. Only there is much more hassle - the feeders need to be checked regularly, the feeders regularly break off...
In fact, fishing in this place in Ufa is quite simple - you need to choose a place and, actively feeding, fish with a float rod.
By the way, catching chub with a hook is quite an exciting activity. I like it.
Yes, and the chub itself is a nice fish. Similar to a roach, but rounder in cross-section, thicker and stronger. Loves peas and corn. Delicious. At least in the form of cutlets.
Maybe we can talk about cutlets? I have nothing more to say about fishing. We were unable to catch any trophy fish, and the total catch over three days of fishing was also not the most impressive.
And all because the water is cloudy. Because it's raining.
And the rains came and went...
And the road back was ahead of us...
After the rains, the road that we used to characterize with unprintable words turned into a road that can be characterized by the same words, but with the epithets “full” or “full” (depending on what unprintable word you came up with). The chances of passing were estimated at thirty percent.
We seriously considered options such as floating part of our luggage down the river or leaving a less passable car with Nikolai and returning for it sometime later. For example, in winter, when everything freezes. What if it freezes and gets swept away? As then?
In general, after painful doubts and hesitations, we finally decided to go.
Seriously prepared - axes, saws, shovels, clothes for mud, a daily supply of food, water, vodka...
We covered the 15-kilometer section for more than three hours. We measured the depth of puddles, raked logs and cobblestones, cut branches, skidded, pushed cars, got out, skidded again...
We got out.
After the forest, the broken dirt road to Ozerki seemed to us a masterpiece of road construction...
Let's draw conclusions.
Conclusion one: There is fish in the Ufa River!
Conclusion two: I don’t want to catch such fish in such quantities anymore at this price.
Conclusion three: But it turned out to be a great adventure. And the places there are luxurious
Let's move on.
Until next time and good fun!
PS And thanks again to all participants in this trophy fishing! Your test fisherman Oleg Petrov

Features of the river
The Ufa River flows in the Middle and Southern Urals, through the territory of the Chelyabinsk and Sverdlovsk regions and the Republic of Bashkortostan.
It originates in Lake Ufimskoye, 5 km northwest of the notorious city of Karabash in the Chelyabinsk region. It flows into the Belaya River (Agidel) within the city of Ufa in Bashkiria, the mouth edge is 82 m. It is the largest tributary of the Belaya.
The basin area is 53,100 km2. The average volume of annual runoff on the border of the Sverdlovsk region and the Republic of Bashkortostan is 4.19 km 3 . Current speed is from 0.7 m/s in the upper reaches to 0.3 m/s near the mouth, in high water up to 1.6 m/s.
Within the Ufa Plateau it flows in a deep winding valley. The width of the channel in the middle reaches is 100–150 m, in the lower reaches up to 300 m. During low-water periods, the depth on the rifts is 0.5–0.6 m, on the reaches – 2–3 m. The food is predominantly snow. The lower part of the river is navigable.
The most significant tributaries:
- right: Ufaleyka, Nyazya, Serga, Emanzelga, Bisert, Sarana, Tyuy, Bayki, Usa, Izyak;
- left: Suroyam, Uraim, Artya, Ai, Bolshaya Berdyashka, Yuryuzan, Yamanyelga, Saldybash.
Three reservoirs were built on the river: Dolgobrodskoye, Nyazepetrovskoye and Pavlovskoye. In dry years, the Nyazepetrovskoe reservoir is used to transfer water to the Chusovaya River basin for the purpose of water supply to Yekaterinburg.
The banks are mostly covered with forest. There are picturesque rocks and caves.
Ufa has good fishing. The fish found here are: roach, bleak, bream, ruffe, perch, chub, asp, dace, podust, pike, pike perch, burbot, tench, crucian carp, gudgeon, sculpin, ide, minnow. In the lower reaches you can find catfish and taimen. Grayling is found in the upper reaches, and trout is found in small tributaries.
In 1856, E. Hoffmann's expedition rafted across Ufa.
"May 30. Our first trip was to the Bashkir village of Shigiri in Ufa, not far from the eastern border of the factory dacha; here we got into small boats and sailed down the Ufa, to the confluence of the Arta near the factory pier...” wrote Hoffman. The full text of his report can be read in the Mining Journal, book. IV, 1868.
Before the construction of railways in the Urals, in the 18th-19th centuries, the Ufa River was of great transport importance. The products of Ural factories were sent along it to the central part of the country, and grain and timber were also floated.
Wood was also rafted during Soviet times. V.F. Popov and B.D. Udintsev in the book “Ufa River” (1936) shared their impressions of the rafting:
“From 180-185 km, forest tracts begin to come across, where logs are taken from surrounding areas and from where they are dumped into the water for rafting, i.e. by gravity, without being tied into rafts. The very process of throwing a log from a high bank is quite interesting: the log quickly slides along the deck and hits the water with a noise; a tall fountain of spray rises upward. The higher the mountain, the more spectacular the spectacle. But it cannot be said that the river and the boat ride benefited from this prayer. When there are a lot of logs floating nearby, and some are picked up by a stronger current and therefore slide faster, while others lag behind, it begins to seem that the river is filled with living creatures that are hostile to the tourist. On occasion, a log will “hit” the side of the boat with visible pleasure. At the parking lot, logs can tear the boat off its moorings, and most importantly, they can block the further path. In such cases, the boat must be dragged. Sometimes barriers are created deliberately: in such places, logs are caught and stacked. A similar harbor was made... near the village of Pristanskoye: here they catch timber to be rafted for fuel for the Artinsky plant.”
Features of fishing in Bashkortostan
The main fishing grounds in Bashkiria are the rivers Belaya, Ufa, Dema, Ai; lakes – Aslykul and Kandrykul; reservoirs - Nugushskoye and Pavlovskoye. But every region of the republic has its own places for fishing. The region is home to about 50 species of fish. The most popular river in the region is Belaya, rich in bream, carp, royal sturgeon, catfish, burbot, pike, grayling, perch, pike perch and other fish. Of greatest interest to fishermen are: Russian sturgeon and sterlet among sturgeon-like species, and brook trout, grayling and taimen among salmon-like species. In the lakes of Trans-Urals you can catch peled, whitefish and ripus on a hook. Among the carp-like species found here are bream, ide, chub, tench, roach, silver bream, rudd and others. The catch may include perciformes such as pike perch, perch, bersh and ruff. Found in the region are burbot, catfish, and sculpin. The following fish are considered important for fishing: ide, pike, perch, and roach. Carp, grass carp, and silver carp are specially bred in paid ponds. Yes, local reservoirs are unusually rich. But this does not mean that you will return with a catch. For example, there is no prospect of fishing from January to March: the air temperature drops to -40 degrees. Also, after the snow melts, there are severe floods in Bashkiria. And in general, fishing is prohibited here until June 10. The exception is a fishing rod with one hook. But during the “allowed time” fishing is simply a joy: a pleasant feature of fishing here is the absence of midges and not too annoying mosquitoes.
Paid fishing
There are many paid reservoirs in the republic: closed, well-kept ponds that are regularly stocked with fish. Organizers of fishing leisure in Bashkiria offer not only recreation with a fishing rod on the banks of ponds, but also the services of club carp fishing ponds. There are also ponds where trout are bred. At the moment, there are more than 20 private reservoirs in the republic that provide paid fishing services. Look for the best fishing option on eklev.ru!
