MITT AND INTOURMARKET WILL TAKE PLACE AS PLANNED
Let us recall that from January 22, the Moscow authorities allowed the resumption of entertainment, cultural and leisure, entertainment, exhibition, educational, mass physical education, sports, advertising and other similar events, provided that the number of visitors cannot exceed 50% of the total capacity of the relevant premises.
This decision and the ongoing easing of anti-Covid restrictions in the capital against the backdrop of an improving situation with COVID-19 give reason to speak with confidence about holding two major tourism exhibitions in Moscow in the spring - MITT-2021 and Intourmarket - in an offline format.
As the organizers of these events told Vestnik ATOR, all exhibitions will be held on time.
Thus, the international tourism exhibition MITT will be held at Crocus Expo from March 16 to 18. According to exhibition director Artem Chernyshov, exhibitions in the Moscow region, where Crocus Expo is located, are allowed.
As Mr. Chernyshov noted, MITT-2021 will be held under the banner of Russian regions. About 60 of them are expected, and regions that have not previously participated in tourism exhibitions will be represented at the exhibition. As for foreign exhibitors, for obvious reasons, there will be noticeably fewer of them than before the pandemic. However, foreign participants from 15-20 countries are expected at MITT-2021. Currently, the exhibition program is already 90% complete.
According to Mr. Chernyshov, there will be no Internet broadcast of the MITT business program or the exhibition itself. “An exhibition is an event where people come to communicate live with business partners. But in the business program itself there will be online inclusions with those speakers who will not be physically able to come to Russia,” he explained.
MITT-2021 will be held under strict compliance with sanitary requirements, including the mandatory wearing of a mask by participants and visitors. The exhibition organizers will check the presence of masks at the entrance; without masks they will not be allowed in. If the visitor does not have a mask with him, it will be provided to the guest at the entrance.
In the first days of April, the Intourmarket exhibition will also be held in Moscow. According to its director Olga Hotochkina, Intourmarket will take place from April 1 to April 3 at the Expocenter on Krasnaya Presnya. According to tradition, the main participants of the exhibition will be Russian regions.
“According to preliminary data, more than 70 regions will take part in Intourmarket, both with their own stands and at consolidated stands of interregional projects, such as the Imperial Route, Sovereign Road, Silver Necklace, and a children’s tourism stand.” , - said Ms. Hotochkina.
According to Olga Hotochkina, 10-15 foreign countries are expected to participate. Turkey will be represented on a large scale, and there will also be stands from Bulgaria, China, Cuba and the CIS countries. Foreign guests will be able to take the PCR test required to return to their countries directly at the Intourmarket exhibition management premises.
At the end of January, the Intourmarket business program was 75% ready. Key events are planned, such as the Forum on Sustainable Tourism, the X Conference on Children's Tourism, the VI All-Russian Forum "Eventful Russia", the All-Russian competition among media and bloggers "MediaTour", the stage of the All-Russian MICE Day, a conference dedicated to Senior tourism, a round table on legal issues of tourism, practical IT conference Intelligent Travel Marketing, presentations of tourism products of Russian regions.
According to Olga Hotochkina, taking into account the fact that in the conditions of the epidemic situation not everyone will be able to come to Moscow, broadcasts of the Intourmarket business program are being prepared on the Internet.
A visit to the Intourmarket at Expocentre will also be possible only with a mask. If the visitor does not have one with him, a mask will be provided at the entrance.

The exhibitors of the exhibition included Thailand, Cyprus, India, Tunisia, Spain, and Bulgaria, which have been among the top countries in demand by Russian tourists over the past few years.
For the first time, the Palestinian Ministry of Tourism and representatives of the Taiwanese tourism industry took part in the exhibition exposition of the pavilion of foreign countries in 2018, at the joint stands of which host companies and hoteliers participated, who spoke about the tourism opportunities of countries still little known to the Russian market.

The stable popularity of the forum-exhibition “LEISURE” among industry professionals is confirmed by the sponsorship partnership with foreign countries and regions of Russia, which consolidate their positive image in the tourism market of our country through an expanded presentation of their capabilities for guests of the exhibition and participants of the Business program.
