Jewelry exhibition "Women's Business"

The unique event takes place in Moscow from February 25 to March 6, 2021. “Women’s Business” is the world’s first exhibition of jewelers and designers, in which exclusively representatives of the fair half of humanity take part.

The exhibition will be hosted by the chamber gallery Ilgiz F. Here you can get acquainted with the works of the participants - in total, 20 representatives of the industry are involved in the project. The products are made both by hand and using the latest technologies. Styles and trends are also very different - from natural minimalism to architectural gothic.

Subtle flair, attention to detail and out-of-the-box thinking help create truly beautiful jewelry. The exhibition will provide visitors with answers to questions about how women see the jewelry world, and why every year this profession is becoming less and less masculine. More than a week will be given to appreciate the work. The opening of the exhibition on February 25 is held in a closed format, but the very next day the doors of the cozy gallery will open to everyone. Admission is free, and you can order a pass by calling +79639931575 .

New places

The Macallan Winter Bar at the O2 Lounge

Terraces have long ceased to be exclusively a summer thing. Recently, The Macallan winter bar opened in the O2 Lounge restaurant on the roof of The Ritz-Carlton hotel. The space was decorated with a neon installation created by artist and founder of Midsummer Night's Dream Margot Trushina. The theme of her work is called Posthuman - High Tea, and it represents glowing abstract human figures floating in the space of a glass bar. You can drink a cocktail with a view of the Kremlin here until April 2019.

Vnukovo Airport Bar at DoubleTree by Hilton Moscow

Those who end this week with a long weekend trip can celebrate the beginning of the weekend in the new panoramic bar SkyLounge Vnukovo. This location is ideal for those whose trip begins at Vnukovo airport: the hotel is located just opposite it, and the bar offers a stunning view of the airfield. SkyLounge will be open from 17 pm to 2 am. The bar menu includes classic cocktails and six unique signature cocktails named after the planets of the solar system. The menu includes a variety of dishes from meat, seafood and fish in unusual combinations with vegetables.

MOVIE

"Tom and Jerry"

One of the most popular cartoons of the last century is back on screens. Director Tim Sawtry decided to bring back his favorite characters. Tom and Jerry have lost their home and are now forced to look for a new shelter. Without hesitation, Jerry checks into the best hotel in New York, where 4 presidents, 3 popes, 2 kings stayed, and soon the wedding of the century will take place there. The presence of an unwanted guest, of course, strains the hotel management. Therefore, a newly hired employee (Chloe Moretz) is tasked with getting rid of the annoying rodent. She chooses the old proven method - calling the cat, in our case Tom. Well, then everything follows the well-known scenario - the cat is looking for hundreds of ways to get rid of the mouse, and he cunningly evades all the traps.

The film can be classified as a family film, as adults will remember the old days and their favorite characters, and children will be drawn in by the fascinating and funny confrontation of the main characters.

"Dad"

I would like to say that this is a light Russian comedy, but this film is more reminiscent of a tragic story with notes of sarcasm. Perhaps someone will recognize themselves in her, so the director advises going to the film with your father or, conversely, with your son. Successful Muscovite Max (Stas Starovoitov) spends days on end at work, without seeing his wife (Nadezhda Mikhalkova) and two children. Everything changes with an unexpected trip to Bata - a real stern man who raised his child in the dashing 90s. Times were not easy then, and the education system of Soviet people was significantly different from the ideal... The main question that is raised in the film is what does it mean to be a good father?

Special screenings from Moskino

The “Berlinale Week” is in full swing at the Moschino Fakel cinema, which includes amazing films awarded with prizes at the Berlin Film Festival.

On February 27 at 18:30 they will show the film “About Body and Soul” - a bizarre love story of two completely different people who are united by the same dreams about a wonderful world and by no means romantic work at a meat processing plant.

And on February 28 at 19:00 “Caesar Must Die” is one of the most discussed films of the Berlin festival, since almost all the roles in it were played by real prisoners. According to the plot, Shakespeare's play "Julius Caesar" is staged in the theater studio at the prison. The viewer will see all the stages of preparation for the performance. And the work will take on a new meaning, laid down by the “actors” based on their own life experience.

THEATER

Photo: teamuz.ru

Performance "Reverse"

The idea of the production is the story of a person’s internal and external struggle in all its most beautiful and terrible manifestations. Directors Andrei Koltsov and Irina Drozhzhina, together with choreographer Debra Brown (Canada), created a super-saturated dynamic performance that does not fit into the framework of any existing theatrical genre. We bet you've never been to a theater where actors soar above the audience, perform tons of extreme stunts, and tell a dramatic story at the same time. What else can you expect from directors originally from Cirque du Soleil? Only extravaganza!

  • WHEN: February 28 at 19:00.
  • Ticket price: from 1000 to 4000 rubles.

Performance “I found a scythe on a stone”

Sergei Bezrukov suggests thinking about eternally pressing questions: how to remain honest in a world where money rules, how to succeed in business in an honest way, can love between an ardent heart and a sound mind survive? Three works by Alexander Ostrovsky will help you find the answers.

According to the plot, in the buzzing Moscow society, interested only in how to have fun, a strange character appears - Savva Vasilkov. A naive provincial, apparently with money and a terrible opponent of any fraud, fell in love with the first beauty of the city, Lydia Cheboksarova. How great is the temptation to deceive such a simpleton...

Cast: Dmitry Dyuzhev, Karina Andolenko, Galina Bokashevskaya, Sergei Vershinin.

Performance "Gorka"

Photo: tagankateatr.ru
The last day of winter is a great occasion to remember the bustle of the New Year holidays and laugh at them, for example, in the theater. On February 28, the Taganka Theater will present the play “Gorka” by Danila Chashchin, a funny and at the same time poignant story about the absurdity of the everyday life of kindergarten teacher Nastya.

On the eve of the New Year, Nastya is trying to prepare a matinee and learn the necessary songs with the children, build a slide and organize the purchase of gifts, not go crazy from the constantly exploding parental chats, and somehow arrange her personal life. This simple and familiar story is about the daily feat of a little man with a huge heart.

The role of teacher Nastya will be played by Yulia Kuvarzina, known to many for her leading roles in Russian TV series. Like many other heroines of Kuvarzina, Nastya is emotional, lively and truly human, and therefore the audience in the hall worries along with her. Age limit 16+

  • WHERE: Taganka Theater, Main stage, Taganskaya metro station, st. Verkhnyaya Radishchevskaya, 21.
  • WHEN: February 28, 19.00

Performance “The Cherry Orchard”

Photo: mossoveta.ru
The famous play by Anton Pavlovich Chekhov on the stage of the Mossoveta Theater. In this theater, director Andrei Konchalovsky staged three of the writer’s main plays. It would also be good to watch them all together, because they are united not only by the director’s through-line thought, but also by a single stage space.

Andrei Sergeevich believes that it was “The Cherry Orchard” that ended the great work of Anton Pavlovich. He wrote it, being already terminally ill and knowing what awaited him, he created a comedy. The comedy, of course, turned out to be unique. By the way, this performance is very well deserved. It was awarded a lot of awards; the leading actors, Yulia Vysotskaya and Alexander Domogarov, also received awards.

Exhibition “Alla Urban. From iron to a drop of light"

A fascinating exhibition of the artist, author of installations and video projects Alla Urban continues to work at the Tretyakov Gallery. This is her first personal exhibition, and immediately in one of the best exhibition spaces in Russia. The exhibition was divided into two conventional levels, personifying non-physical worlds - the upper “black and white” and the lower “color”. For example, in the installation “Zero”, made of spirals, you can read the Song of Solomon from the Old Testament, the composition “Question” will help you find answers to your pressing questions and tell you how to proceed, and the new object “Wave”, formed from white threads and steel rods, when oscillating, fills the entire space with a light mysterious sound and creates additional drama.

Exhibition “On the Eve of Perestroika”

Photo: mamm-mdf.ru
The Multimedia Art Museum displays the works of Alexander Strinadko, one of the best representatives of documentary photography of our time.

Strinadko was born and raised in Donetsk. I also studied photography there. The photographs presented at this exhibition were taken in his hometown in 1983-1984, when the author himself was still young. He scrupulously records the usual Soviet life on the threshold of very big changes. In the photographs you can already feel the latent expectation and the feeling of impending emptiness.

Strinadko’s photographs are not staged; in addition, he refuses all kinds of manipulations to improve the photographs, and, by the way, he still shoots with film cameras.

Advertising has always received great attention. Already several centuries ago, manufacturers and traders were well aware that this was a powerful “engine of progress.” And they attracted the best forces to the matter, not skimping on rewards.

This time the Pushkin Museum is showing visitors amazing examples of English advertising. At one time, London gained the reputation of the capital of world design. This happened thanks to the creativity of Aubrey Beardsley, Edward McKnight Coffer, Tom Purvis, “The Brothers” Beggarstaff, Austin Cooper, Edward Bowden. They advertised everything under the sun: evening dresses, heaters, gin, railways and cigarettes.

Their masterpieces can be seen at the exhibition. In total, the exhibition includes over 150 advertising prints.

Exhibition “City – Territory of Happiness”

Photo: provided by the organizers
On the eve of the weekend, a very atmospheric and unusual exhibition “The City is the Territory of Happiness” opens in Moscow, which presents more than 20 paintings and graphic works by talented contemporary Moscow artists Anna Birshtein, Asya Feoktistova and Maria Suvorova. The exhibition is dedicated to the knowledge and perception of the city that we all missed so much during the pandemic. Visitors will plunge into the atmosphere of noisy streets, sun-drenched alleys, random passers-by and trembling anticipation of happiness.

“The city is an equal participant in what is happening: it stores our memories, lives with us, promises opportunities, makes our dreams come true. I am pleased to present three wonderful artists: Anna Birshtein, Asya Feoktistova and Maria Suvorova. Each of them has their own understanding of the city, but they are united by the firm belief that the city is a territory of happiness,” said exhibition curator Yulia Ambartsumyan.

The location for the art project was not chosen by chance: the paintings will be presented in the ancient stone chambers of the Duma clerk Emelyan Ukraintsev on Ivanovskaya Hill. This complex of historical buildings in the Kitay-Gorod area, reminiscent of the bygone merchant Moscow, about which Vladimir Gilyarovsky wrote with inspiration, organically integrates modern art.

Interactive zone “Know yourself”

An absolutely amazing part of the Darwin Museum (you need to buy a separate ticket here), where you can touch everything with your hands, explore it, and even crawl on the floor without hesitation. The floor in this room is glass, and under it are the inhabitants of various zones - deciduous forest, coniferous, marshy areas: plants, mosses, insects, snakes, small animals.

It's easy to remember which animals eat what. All you have to do is offer them lunch. Special tokens on which this or that delicacy is depicted are equipped with marks. You bring them to the sensor and, voila, the animal either opens its mouth or stands in proud silence.

And here you can control the Earth, create a human skeleton, a cell, measure your strength, find out which zone is responsible for a certain taste, try to determine who the footprints belong to.

One of the most beautiful and amazing performances of the Teatrium. A real eastern kingdom appears on the stage. And the musical design, according to tradition, is based on authentic Arabic music, as well as melodies of other eastern peoples. They perform music on authentic musical instruments.

Her father believes that he is not a match for her at all. But can you command your heart? The “groom” was exiled to the desert, from where he was not supposed to return.
